Chapter 17: Your Walking Posture is a Bit Strange
“What a coincidence.”
Cheng Xun raised his chin slightly towards Qi En, his gaze cast down from half-lowered eyelids, carrying a sense of condescending scrutiny.
Qi En froze, abruptly retracted his hand, and stood up instantly.
But his legs were numb. Not only did he fail to stand up properly, but he was also unstable and about to fall backward.
Qi En already imagined himself looking like a slice of bacon trapped between the chair and the curtain wall.
Wuu, so embarrassing.
But the bacon form he imagined didn’t arrive; his wrist was caught.
Cheng Xun pulled him up.
Qi En’s legs were still numb. Even with the leverage, he couldn’t stand steadily.
His body uncontrollably tilted in other directions.
He had a flash of wit and pushed against the glass wall, intending to fall into the massage chair.
But an arm suddenly extended, intercepted him, and naturally pulled him into an embrace.
Qi En held onto Cheng Xun’s shoulders, his face buried in Cheng Xun’s chest.
He hadn’t reacted yet; his whole person was still a bit dazed.
His mind was filled with two questions:
Is this really Cheng Xun himself, not a twin?
Why did Cheng Xun do this?
It wasn’t until Qi En felt a cold sensation on his left hand that he suddenly realized the ice cream had melted.
White milky stains flowed everywhere, seemingly trying to glue his and Cheng Xun’s hands together.
Qi En wanted to pull his hand out. The sticky feeling was uncomfortable, but Cheng Xun seemed unaware, still holding him tightly without letting go.
Qi En could only stand firm first and distance himself from Cheng Xun.
The first thing he saw was the spot of white ice cream stain on the other party’s black shirt.
That got there from the corner of his mouth.
His actions were faster than his thoughts; he reached out and wiped that trace away.
He also felt Cheng Xun’s chest seem to tighten for a moment.
Such a hard chest.
Qi En subconsciously glanced at his own flat chest with only slight undulations, then looked at the other’s.
Cheng Xun works out too.
It seems he can’t win against the other party with brute force alone; he has to use finesse.
Cheng Xun gazed at Qi En, waiting for Qi En to take the initiative to speak to him.
He had noticed Qi En long ago.
Wearing a seemingly ordinary sailor suit, but a closer look revealed it was a bunny sailor suit.
A white ball of fluff at the back propped up the hem of the clothes a little. Because the tail’s position was a bit high, one could see the slender lower back from certain angles.
A sky-blue bow tie was tied at the collar. Behind it was a large square collar, and below the collar lay a pair of bulging rabbit ears, like two soft clouds.
The cotton filling the rabbit ears must be very light. Even with Qi En’s slight movements, the pair of ears swung left and right behind his back.
Qi En wandered back and forth among the desserts in the rest station, seemingly about to soak himself in the sweets.
He didn’t know how many ice creams he had eaten. His mouth was full of it, and he didn’t even know if there was cream or ice cream on his nose.
The corners of his mouth were also white.
It should taste sweeter than the original flavor.
After all, the original was cold, and now it had been warmed up.
Cheng Xun didn’t go directly to find Qi En. Instead, he deliberately led his business partner around the rest station.
After wandering for more than ten minutes, Qi En finally discovered him.
He thought they could be considered acquaintances, but Qi En’s first reaction upon seeing him was actually to hide.
He was actually a bit frustrated, but the sweetness on his hand and body made his mood a little better.
“My clothes were dirtied by you,” Cheng Xun said expressionlessly. “This outfit can’t be washed. What to do? I have to talk business with a client in a while.”
Then he stared at Qi En’s instantly panicked expression.
So easily scared.
Seems he scared him too much.
“Forget i—”
Before Cheng Xun could say the words, he saw Qi En speak as if risking everything: “I, I’ll compensate you.”
Cheng Xun swallowed the words he planned to say and asked him, “How will you compensate?” (Note: In Chinese “compensate” (peí) and “accompany” (péi) sound the same. Cheng Xun is playing on this.)
“I’ll take you to, the changing room…? There are clothes for playing ball there…” Qi En felt guilty even saying this.
“……”
Cheng Xun’s silence made Qi En a little panicked.
He still dared not look up at the other’s eyes.
He comforted himself in his heart that it was definitely not because he was cowardly, but because he was afraid his murderous intent would be detected by Cheng Xun.
Mn, that’s it.
“How much is the clothes? I’ll pay you.”
“Pay as in money?”
“Yes.”
Cheng Xun’s question was a bit strange, so Qi En couldn’t help looking up at him.
Cheng Xun’s eyes were deep and carried a scrutinizing meaning.
Qi En pursed his lips, barely holding back the urge to look away instinctively.
“Very expensive,” Cheng Xun said.
“How expensive?” Qi En’s voice involuntarily softened.
“Eighty.”
“Eighty.” Qi En breathed a sigh of relief.
“Eighty thousand.”
“Uh…” Qi En couldn’t breathe a little.
Eighty thousand for a piece of clothing?
He had to weigh his options even when buying clothes for eighty yuan.
Cheng Xun: “Money isn’t important, but I can’t wear this outfit to see the client later.”
The white traces on the clothes had dried a bit.
“I, I’ll help you wash it clean…”
Qi En looked at the semi-dry trace and extended a finger to scrape it.
A bit of ice cream milk stain was scraped off and stuck in his fingernail.
The feeling was a bit uncomfortable, so he wiped it on Cheng Xun’s clothes again.
He didn’t wipe his hands on the other’s clothes so openly, but quickly rubbed the hem of the shirt when putting his hand down.
However, this small action was discovered by Cheng Xun.
His hand was grabbed by Cheng Xun, held together with the left hand holding the ice cream.
Qi En didn’t quite like this posture.
It was very much like catching a thief, and also like pinching a chick’s two legs.
“I just told you, this outfit can’t be washed.”
“Then what to do? Why don’t you wear mine first…?”
“Rabbit ears? To talk business?”
Qi En lowered his head, speaking in a voice only he could hear, “Why don’t you just let me kill you? That way you don’t have to talk business, and I don’t have to pay for your clothes…”
“What did you say?”
Qi En took a deep breath. “I said, I don’t know what to do either. How do you want me to compensate you?”
Cheng Xun’s gaze circled Qi En’s body. It didn’t mean any offense, but it still made Qi En feel cold all over.
Cheng Xun’s Adam’s apple rolled. “Accompany me to play ball.”
Last time Cheng Xun at least asked which friend took Qi En to the club; now he didn’t even ask.
Qi En found an excuse to decline. “But I don’t know how to play.”
“I’ll teach you.”
Saying that, Cheng Xun grabbed Qi En’s hands and walked. “Go wash your hands.”
Cheng Xun’s strength was too great. Qi En couldn’t break free and could only say, “I, I don’t want to learn…”
“Hm?” Cheng Xun stopped and looked back at him.
“I want to learn…”
“Mn, good.”
.
Restroom.
Qi En’s hands were held by Cheng Xun and placed under the faucet.
Warm water flowed out slowly, pouring over both their hands.
The ice cream had also been thrown into the trash can by Cheng Xun.
He tried to pull his hand out, and unexpectedly, it came out easily this time.
He looked at Cheng Xun carefully and added, “I’ll wash it myself.”
“Wash.”
Qi En squeezed a lot of hand soap, trying to stall for time.
Didn’t Cheng Xun still remember he had business to discuss? He would definitely get impatient waiting and leave first.
But he had been washing for five minutes; why was Cheng Xun still here?
Suddenly, Cheng Xun reached out and wiped the tip of Qi En’s nose.
Qi En stopped washing his hands. He looked at Cheng Xun in the mirror and blinked.
“Nose is dirty.”
“Oh…”
Qi En washed his face too.
Water dripped onto the collar, darkening the light blue color.
He propped himself on the sink, leaning in to see if there were any other unwashed spots on his face in the mirror.
At this time, a hand reached out from the side, just lifting the index finger gently to rub his jaw.
Qi En froze.
The finger on his jaw rubbed and shook a little.
“There’s water.”
“Oh…”
He washed his face; wasn’t having water normal?
Qi En didn’t understand what Cheng Xun meant.
.
“I want to go to the toilet,” Qi En said.
“Want to stall for time?”
“Ah… no.” Qi En looked at him innocently.
Wronged and not knowing how to explain himself, he could only look helplessly at the person in front of him, as if showing enough pitifulness would make the other party go along with him out of sympathy.
However, Cheng Xun really did go along with him.
Cheng Xun said, “Go ahead.”
Qi En turned back three times with every step. “Can you go out? Go a bit further away.”
He held the bathroom stall door, poking his head out to say to Cheng Xun, “I’m not peeing. With you here, I’m embarrassed.”
Cheng Xun was silent for a while, and sure enough, he went out.
Qi En sat on the toilet lid and waited for a while. Only when he couldn’t hear movement outside did he tentatively open the door and scan the surroundings.
No one in the toilet.
He suppressed the sound of his footsteps and walked out slowly.
No one outside either.
It seemed Cheng Xun couldn’t wait and left.
Qi En patted his chest, about to return to the changing room.
Suddenly, a familiar voice sounded behind him:
“What’s wrong with your leg?”
This sudden voice frightened Qi En, causing him to suck in a breath of cold air.
He turned around, looking at Cheng Xun behind him, uncontrollably stammering, “You, you haven’t, haven’t left yet.”
Cheng Xun: “Peed your pants?”
Qi En bit his lower lip, retorting fiercely yet humiliated, “I did not.”
“…I was joking.”
Qi En huffed. “I’m leaving, my time is up.”
“Wait, I wanted to ask, why is your walking posture like that?”
Qi En suddenly realized.
Cheng Xun was talking about the gun in his shorts pocket!
While Qi En was distracted, Cheng Xun had already stepped forward, pressing closer step by step.
