Chapter 21: Did the Leader Miss Me During the Days I Was Away?
“Is there something wrong with these classmates of Lin Yang’s brains?” After the people dispersed, Lu Xingyan asked aloud.
Ye Zhile gave a “Shh.” “Careful not to be heard.”
“Fear what.” Lu Xingyan was fearless.
“Brother Xingyan, you guys go sit in the front; I saved seats for you,” Lin Yang said. “After my performance is over, we’ll go eat together.”
Lu Xingyan and Ye Zhile were arranged in the first row on the side. They watched several performances one after another. Ye Zhile was a bit tired until Lin Yang appeared, then he cheered up.
“Yang-Yang is so handsome today.” Ye Zhile cupped his face. On stage, Lin Yang walked elegantly and appropriately to the piano, lifted his coat tails to sit down, and in the next second, a beautiful melody flowed out slowly.
Lu Xingyan glanced at the Omega cupping his face and giggling foolishly, sighing. Sold by someone and still helping them count the money. The key was he couldn’t say it directly. Ye Zhile was stubborn about reasoning and valuing friendship. Unless he discovered it himself, it was useless for others to say.
After Lin Yang finished performing, he received countless applause. He stood up elegantly to express thanks, but glancing over, Lu Xingyan wasn’t watching his performance at all, but staring at Ye Zhile.
Lin Yang clenched his fists. He had specifically asked Ye Zhile to pass the message for fear that Lu Xingyan wouldn’t agree to his request. But that person’s mind wasn’t on him at all, so what was the point of him doing this!
Watching Ye Zhile wave at him, that overly beautiful face seemed to be showing off to him. Lin Yang gritted his teeth. Why! Where exactly am I inferior to Ye Zhile?!
After the performance, Ye Zhile and Lu Xingyan waited outside for Lin Yang to change clothes, and then the three found a restaurant to eat.
“Lele wasn’t bullied at school, right?”
Ye Zhile was burying his head in eating. Hearing Lin Yang ask him, he said, “No, I won’t be bullied.”
“Are the people in your dorm easy to get along with?” Lu Xingyan asked.
Ye Zhile thought for a moment, then poured it all out like beans from a bamboo tube. “There is one very hard to get along with! That person in our dorm, he always finds me unpleasant to the eye! And spreads rumors about me! I even helped him! No manners at all!”
Seeing Ye Zhile huffing with anger but only scolding the person for having no manners, estimating he couldn’t curse anything worse, Lu Xingyan laughed. “Next time he talks nonsense again, come find me! I’ll beat him until he looks for his teeth on the floor!”
“No need.” Ye Zhile swallowed. “He doesn’t dare hit me, and Xingtu will help me! Xingtu is very good at fighting!”
Lin Yang found the food tasteless. He clearly started the topic, but the two chatted together, completely ignoring him.
“Lele, since when are you so close with Leng Xingtu?” Lin Yang pretended to be jealous. “Is it having a new friend and not wanting the old friend?”
“No.” Ye Zhile shook his head. “How is that possible? Didn’t I come all the way with Brother Xingyan to see your performance today? And Xingtu helped me a lot; he is very good.”
Lin Yang choked and couldn’t speak.
“I’m going to the restroom,” Lu Xingyan said.
After Lu Xingyan went, Lin Yang also followed. Ye Zhile ignored them and focused on eating.
Ten minutes later, the two hadn’t returned. Ye Zhile was so full he slumped in his seat, rubbing his round belly. “Does going to the restroom take that long?”
Ye Zhile was just about to go find them when he saw the two coming back together. Only the atmosphere seemed wrong. Lu Xingyan walked ahead alone with a dark face, while Lin Yang had obviously been crying, his eyes red.
“What’s wrong, Yang-Yang?” Ye Zhile looked at him with concern, stepping forward to hold his hand. Unexpectedly, Lin Yang dodged his hand directly and replied coldly, “Nothing.”
Ye Zhile was stunned, withdrawing his hand stiffly. “Good that it’s nothing…”
The dining table was very quiet afterward. Seeing both of them in low spirits, Ye Zhile tactfully didn’t speak again.
When separating, Lu Xingyan and Ye Zhile went left, Lin Yang went right alone. He looked at Lu Xingyan. “Brother Xingyan, it’s too late; can you send me back?”
Lu Xingyan didn’t look at him. “I can call a car for you.”
Ye Zhile was caught in the middle without speaking. Intuition told him there was a problem between these two, a big problem, and he couldn’t participate.
Lin Yang said no more, glanced at Ye Zhile, turned, and left.
“Good…” Before Ye Zhile had time to say goodbye to him, Lin Yang had already left. Ye Zhile looked at Lu Xingyan. “What happened to Yang-Yang?”
Lu Xingyan had a cold face. “Don’t know.”
Ye Zhile shut up.
Lu Xingyan sent Ye Zhile downstairs to the dormitory, told him to rest early, and left.
Tomorrow was the weekend. Ye Zhile went back to pack his luggage, preparing to go home as soon as he got up tomorrow morning!
“Are you going back to your own home? Or the Leader’s home?” Leng Xingtu leaned into his ear and whispered. Ye Zhile smiled. “Back to my own home first.”
“Oh~” Leng Xingtu understood.
As a result, when Ye Zhile went home the next day, his Dad and Father weren’t home; only the butler and nanny were there. Ye Zhile asked and found out that Wen Yumo and Ye Junting were on a business trip and didn’t know when they would be back.
“Business trip again…” Ye Zhile threw his suitcase unhappily. “Then are my Big Brother and the others coming back?”
“Young Master, the Eldest Young Master and Second Young Master are busy, living in the Military Department, and don’t come back often,” the butler said.
Ye Zhile frowned. “I’m alone again…”
But Ye Zhile didn’t plan to stay at home. He dragged his suitcase back to the Leader’s Manor.
“Lele is back.” Uncle Xu smiled as soon as he saw him. Ye Zhile smiled. “I’m on holiday, Uncle Xu.”
“What do you want to eat today? Uncle Xu will order the kitchen to make it for you.” Uncle Xu treated Ye Zhile like his own grandson, doting on him immensely.
“I eat everything!” Ye Zhile said.
Uncle Xu smiled. “Haha, easy to raise!”
Ye Zhile’s luggage was taken up by the servant. He also went up and changed into home clothes before coming down.
What Ye Zhile didn’t expect was that the Leader came back quite early today. He had just sat down preparing to eat when the Leader returned.
Ji Shuohan took off his coat and handed it to the servant. He walked into the dining room with his sleeves rolled up. Tall and long-legged, with a superior figure, the vest shirt outlined looming muscle contours. The vigorous power made one’s heart beat faster. Seeing Ye Zhile at the dining table, he paused. “Back.”
“Yeah.” Ye Zhile watched Ji Shuohan sit down. He bit his chopsticks. “Did the Leader miss me during the days I was away?”
“Cough!” Ji Shuohan seemed startled by Ye Zhile’s words. He looked at Ye Zhile with considerable surprise. “What did you say?”
Ye Zhile didn’t dare to say it again. Actually, he dared to say this sentence because that day Xingtu saw him reluctant to leave the Leader and taught him to say this. He said one must be bold and proactive with a lover; otherwise, if both are reserved, how can there be a result?
