Chapter 033: Pick Me, Pick Me~
“Who checks the date for a marking…”
Su Tang pushed Ye Chiyu gently in dissatisfaction. The complaining little gesture, falling into Ye Chiyu’s eyes, carried a hint of playing hard to get, causing him to happily hug the little guy and kiss him over and over.
The Alpha gently stroked Su Tang’s soft hair during their intimacy, harboring an imperceptible stubbornness.
“We have to check.”
Su Tang, whose brain had been scrambled by Ye Chiyu, couldn’t think straight. After fooling around on the sofa for a while, he went back to his room.
The airing of the drama he participated in made Su Tang so excited that his desire to share was exploding. He took out the phone he had forgotten for several hours, wanting to tell Ning Yang, Jiang Ke, and the others to go watch Killing Snow immediately.
Qi Yuan called, and Ye Chiyu went to the balcony to answer it. Su Tang lay on his stomach on the bed, kicking his feet up. Listening to Mr. Ye’s low, pleasant voice sounding both near and far, he felt a burst of happiness in his heart.
Mr. Ye really… it’s not enough that he’s tall and handsome, but why is his voice so good too? Heaven knows how much I love it when Ye Chiyu calls me “Tang Tang” and “Little Su Tang” with that voice.
Because he was watching the drama, he had muted his phone. As soon as the lock screen lit up, Su Tang was bombarded by Weibo push notifications and WeChat pop-ups. He pressed his fingerprint to unlock it, looking completely bewildered.
Given the sheer volume of Weibo notifications, Su Tang guessed he must have gained some followers. But when he entered Weibo, he discovered his follower count had jumped from a few thousand to over three hundred thousand, and it was still trending upward.
Wow, is this speed real?!
Is this the power of a big production TV drama? He, a small supporting character who only appeared for a few minutes, could actually gain so many fans.
Su Tang, a little country bumpkin who didn’t even count as an 18th-tier celebrity, kept a straight face and very seriously confirmed his current follower count one more time.
“Ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands…”
Having never seen so many fans before, the little bumpkin was overwhelmed. Su Tang swallowed with difficulty, his eyes straightening as he muttered to himself, “Oh my god, it really is three hundred and fifty thousand. They are all my fans…”
Along with the follower increase came a pile of private messages he couldn’t even finish reading. Su Tang glanced through them; there were tons saying he played Jiang Qingzhi well, and many calling him “Wife” and praising his looks.
Su Tang covered his face, quietly tilting his head to peek at Ye Chiyu, who was still on the phone, and blushed with a tiny bit of pride.
Hehe, Mr. Ye shouldn’t notice if I secretly gloat for a bit.
After waving his fist in celebration, Su Tang cautiously reviewed the Weibo posts he had made in the past. Fortunately, although he had been using this account since starting high school, he hadn’t posted much—mostly sharing casual daily snaps, and not even a single selfie.
Good. Luckily I didn’t post anything shameful, otherwise, it would be social death for me now. Su Tang gave himself a thumbs-up in his heart.
[Tang-Bao! I watched your new show the moment it came out! Damn, I gotta say, you really look like a pure little pretty boy in it! The kind that’s good-looking and willful!]
Because Jiang Qingzhi was the youngest, the character setting was childish. Ning Yang, that guy, had a sharp tongue as always. Su Tang stuck out his tongue.
[Tch, what pretty boy!]
Ning Yang replied quickly.
[With a face like yours, if you aren’t a pretty boy, what are you?]
[But you probably aren’t planning to make the news of your marriage to Ye Chiyu public so soon, right? Does anyone in your class know? Don’t let the news leak out, it wouldn’t be good.]
Su Tang thought about it and messaged Ning Yang not to worry. Then, he happily went to accept the transfer Su Bing sent him.
[Little cub acted pretty well! Here’s a small reward!]
Having married the slightly wealthy Mr. Ye, the little money-grubber heard the sound of Mario collecting coins in his head as he accepted the transfer. He hugged his phone and giggled foolishly, then replied one by one to messages from Jiang Ke, Liang Sijie, and Ling Fei.
“Confirm the clauses regarding the Jingnan land price in the contract. This is our first time working with this project contractor; investigate clearly if they have taken kickbacks before.”
Ye Chiyu hung up the phone. As soon as he returned to the bedroom, he saw his little partner lying on the bed hugging his phone and giggling.
Su Tang was wearing pure white plush pajamas today. Ye Chiyu had personally picked them out for Su Tang after they showered that evening.
The loose fit caused the pant legs to slide up to his knees, exposing all of Su Tang’s fair, slender calves. His two cute feet swung back and forth in the air. Added to the two rabbit ears on the hood of the top, he looked exactly like Alice who had accidentally fallen down the rabbit hole.
The little guy was humming a light tune, completely absorbed in playing with his phone, unaware that his Alpha had returned.
Ye Chiyu quietly walked behind the Omega, grabbed the two little bunny ears on Su Tang’s pajamas, and gave a tug. Poof—the little guy’s slightly messy curly hair popped out.
De-hooded, Su Tang turned his head, his innocent big eyes meeting Ye Chiyu’s smiling, gentle peach blossom eyes.
“Mr. Ye, why did you pull my hat…”
Su Tang complained in a super quiet voice, his face heating up slightly because of the Alpha’s handsome smile.
Ye Chiyu put down his phone and got into bed too, pulling the little guy up to sit. He kneaded the soft flesh on Su Tang’s cheek.
“Let me see. Who is better looking, Jiang Qingzhi or my Tang Tang?”
The expression on Su Tang’s face was spectacular for a moment—shy, curious, and oddly jealous.
“Then… then who does Mr. Ye think is better looking?”
He looked up, staring eagerly at his Alpha, a hint of expectation in his eyes.
Inner thoughts: Ah! I don’t care! Hurry up and say it’s me!
Ye Chiyu held his chin, pondering very seriously. He even showed a look of struggle, which instantly made Su Tang feel bad.
“Mr. Ye?”
The little guy’s urging tone was already starting to sound pitiful. Ye Chiyu thought to himself that his Tang Tang practically wrote his thoughts on his face, but he kept him in suspense without speaking, looking as if the choice was very difficult.
Su Tang huffed and burrowed under the blanket. Just as Ye Chiyu was preparing to fish the person out and coax him properly, Su Tang’s arm, resembling a lotus root, extended out from the blanket holding his phone.
The Alpha stared at the phone, confused, wondering what the little guy was trying to do by holding a phone with a black screen in front of him.
Huddled under the quilt, Su Tang was complaining about the internet speed suddenly dragging, when a brisk, weird little song began to play.
“I bet you don’t know who you really like~~ Then I will say to you~~ Pick me~~ Pick me~~”
Su Tang revealed a pair of eyes from the blanket and glared at his Alpha with what he thought was a super invincible, domineering look.
“Did you hear that? You have to pick me!”
“Okay,” Ye Chiyu laughed, snatching the phone that was still playing the ‘Pick Me’ song from the little guy’s hand. He dove under the blanket and pulled his Omega into a full embrace. “I’ll listen to you. I choose Su Tang.”
