After the Honest Man Picked Up a Dark, Obsessive Psycho chapter 44.2

Part 2

“There are some left; they’ve been organized.”

“Good job.” Lu Yuanbai nodded. He was a bit taller than Jiang Yunian. Looking down, he saw the cowlick (ahoge) that had formed from sleeping. As if having OCD, he smoothed it down for him, his movements so natural it seemed he had done it many times. Jiang Yunian obediently lowered his eyes, showing no reaction.

Hao Meng sniffed out something unusual, looking back and forth between the two. Jiang Yunian’s hair was very soft, and Lu Yuanbai left after simply smoothing it. She said suspiciously, “Why do I feel something is off between you two?”

Jiang Yunian: “?”

Hao Meng: “Are you still that ‘pure, big straight man’ who hasn’t even held a girl’s hand?”

He indeed hadn’t held a girl’s hand, but contact deeper than that… That first kiss stolen that night kept surfacing in his mind inadvertently.

His first kiss was given to a man. He didn’t know if it was because he had no concept of the special nature of a first kiss, or something else, but he didn’t feel it was a pity to have lost it. Perhaps he was emotionally obtuse and didn’t feel much, or perhaps… because that person was Jiang Yan, he didn’t reject it.

Thinking of this, Jiang Yunian’s cheeks began to burn again. Hao Meng squinted and tsked twice. The more she looked, the more she felt something was wrong; this was clearly a sign of longing for spring (romance).

In the evening, Jiang Yunian accompanied Jiang Yan in the living room to watch TV.

Rather than him accompanying Jiang Yan, it was more like Jiang Yan specifically “got off work early” to accompany him. Recently, because of the stalking incident, he had been restless and didn’t dare to stay alone, always worried someone would break in.

“Open your mouth.” Jiang Yan handed a piece of cut apple to his lips with a toothpick.

Jiang Yunian was entranced by the show. He subconsciously opened his mouth. By the time he realized he had licked the other’s hand, Jiang Yan, who was originally separated by a small distance, had somehow pressed up behind him, half his body leaning over.

Jiang Yunian felt a bit uncomfortable. He habitually wanted to move away to create distance. Just as he straightened up, he suddenly stopped moving. He remembered that night in the alley, Jiang Yan hugging him and pleading: Don’t push me away again, okay?

He stiffened for a moment, then sat back down.

Only now, he couldn’t concentrate on the TV. His mind was entirely on Jiang Yan’s vague touches. Before, he just thought Jiang Yan was clingy; now, looking at certain actions, they were clearly ulterior motives.

If it were just pressing and rubbing, that would be fine, but Jiang Yan actually… actually secretly slipped his hand under his clothes and pressed on his waist.

Jiang Yan half-narrowed his eyes, resting his chin on Jiang Yunian’s shoulder, the tip of his nose brushing past his hair strands. He whispered low, “So fragrant…”

The warm breath, along with his lips, inadvertently grazed the root of his ear. Jiang Yunian’s neck tensed slightly, feeling like he was sitting on pins and needles. His eyes darted around, trying to say something to distract him.

“Right!” He subtly shifted outward, turned his head, and said solemnly, “There’s a team building event on Saturday night, I might be back a bit late.”

This was Jiang Yan’s rule: recently, he had to report wherever he went to avoid moving alone as much as possible.

The fragrance suddenly receded. Jiang Yan felt slightly dissatisfied. He straightened up and asked, “Ge wants to leave me home alone?”

Jiang Yunian knew he would ask this and felt troubled for a moment. “But if I decline again, the team members will have opinions…”

And he had already promised the President.

It seemed he had to go. Jiang Yan was helpless. “Fine, but no drinking.”

Jiang Yunian lowered his eyes and nodded vaguely.

The ambiguous atmosphere from a moment ago had completely vanished. Jiang Yan said seriously, “Has he contacted you recently?”

Jiang Yunian sat up straight at the words and shook his head. Since that night in the alley, LG seemed to have evaporated from the face of the earth. He said he would come find him again, but there had been no movement so far.

“Leave this matter to me. I will drag him out.”

“What are you going to do?” Jiang Yunian’s heart tightened. He was grateful for everything Jiang Yan did for him, but some methods were too extreme, leaving no room for leeway. He couldn’t help but worry.

according to Jiang Yan’s description that night, that person should be very ordinary. He probably belonged to the type who was usually plain, solitary, and inconspicuous. Homosexuality wasn’t accepted by everyone; the shame of unspoken orientation and long-suppressed needs leading to twisted psychology and an urgent need to vent on someone—this explanation made sense. But finding such a calm, camouflaged ordinary person was like finding a needle in a haystack.

Jiang Yan didn’t elaborate, only saying there would be a way.

The topic ended there. He had no intention of saying more. Jiang Yunian couldn’t focus on the TV either. Just as he picked up his phone, he received a long-awaited greeting from Tao Jingxuan. The gist was asking if he was free on Saturday and wanting to treat him to lunch.

Speaking of which, Tao Jingxuan herself was embarrassed to contact him so late. That night of the award ceremony, the Senior took her to the infirmary. She hadn’t even thanked him properly yet, and because their schedules never aligned, it had been left unsettled.

This time, she really wanted to thank him properly.

Jiang Yan glanced sideways and glimpsed the few eye-catching words. His face turned half a degree colder. “You still have contact with her?”

“Mn.” Jiang Yunian lowered his head to type.

The other party’s indifferent attitude annoyed him. Two fingers reached over and plucked away his phone. “You’re not allowed to go.”

“Hey… give it back.” Jiang Yunian chased after it to grab it, but the phone was held high above his head by Jiang Yan. Jiang Yunian wasn’t as tall as him and couldn’t reach. Half his body lunged onto him, pressing down until the other’s breathing became disordered.

Jiang Yunian propped one hand on his chest and grabbed his arm with the other. When he finally reached it, he belatedly realized how ambiguous this posture was. Under his palm, the body heat through the fabric was scorching; he could even feel the distinct, powerful heartbeat.

Jiang Yunian’s cheeks heated up slightly. The close proximity forced his eyes to wander, not daring to look around randomly. He wanted to let go and get up, but his wrist was pinned down by Jiang Yan, pressed tightly against his heart.

The heartbeat grew faster.

Jiang Yunian pursed his lips and said embarrassedly, “Let go, quick.”

Jiang Yan was pinned down by him, yet still maintained an air of effortless control. “Ge kiss me once, and I’ll let go.”

Saying this, he shook the phone in his hand, warning him that both the person and the phone were in his hands—if he knew what was good for him, he’d be obedient.

Jiang Yunian was ashamed. He pretended not to see the rising desire in Jiang Yan’s eyes. The hand that was pinned down curled slightly, struggling yet not struggling.

He didn’t speak, and Jiang Yan didn’t force him. He just gently stroked his hand, straightening his fingers one by one before clasping them in his own. His thin lips parted lightly, his low voice carrying a tone of coaxing, “You can’t just touch for a second, it has to be…”

Jiang Yan stared straight at him, slowly enunciating, “A little longer.”

Jiang Yunian’s ears were completely red, and the held hand grew hot too. Looking at Jiang Yan’s handsome face and the affection flowing in his eyes, he said as if possessed, “Close your eyes…”

The corner of Jiang Yan’s mouth hooked up in a successful smile, and then he slowly closed his eyes.

The shadow slowly descended. The fragrance from earlier returned, winding around them in wisps. Jiang Yunian stared at those lips close at hand—clearly male, yet inexplicably alluring, bewitching him to get closer.

He swallowed and continued downward. In the split second before contact, his hand twisted and snatched the phone back.

“Got it!”

Taking advantage of his lack of defense, Jiang Yunian grabbed the phone and got up rapidly.

Jiang Yan opened his eyes. The charm that had just risen was extinguished once again.

He lay paralyzed on the sofa for a moment, hearing his brother say while running, “I didn’t intend to go with her anyway.”

The fluffy slippers went tap-tap on the floor, getting faster and faster, as if afraid of being caught by him.

It took Jiang Yan a long time to come back to his senses. He wiped his face, both angry and amused.

He really underestimated his brother.
