Chapter 52: Floating and Sinking in Love — Raise Ge into a Little Waste, Never Able to Leave…
The saying “enemies walk a narrow road” wasn’t false at all. When they arrived at the cinema, they bumped into Zhou Shu and He Qing again. They bought tickets for the same screening, and their seats were just two rows ahead.
It was Jiang Yunian’s first date, so he had no experience in choosing films. However, choosing a romance movie for a couple couldn’t go wrong. He had imagined it beautifully, but he soon regretted it.
The lights in the theater dimmed, and the faint sweet scent of popcorn floated in the air. The huge screen began to play, and the refracted light and shadow flickered on the audience’s faces.
Towards the end of the movie, the male lead suddenly stole a kiss from the female lead. The atmosphere became exceptionally ambiguous. Several low gasps rang out in the theater, and the “wet” sound of lips touching could be vaguely heard. Jiang Yunian saw the front row; taking advantage of He Qing’s inattention, Zhou Shu quickly pecked him on the corner of his lips. The movement was very natural, as if he had been waiting for this moment, completely disregarding the gazes around him. He Qing’s ears turned red, annoyed but unable to flare up.
Jiang Yunian gradually became absent-minded. Whether it was psychological or something else, he felt the surrounding air become restless. He shrank stiffly into his seat, daring not to move. He turned his face slightly, wanting to steal a glance, only to find Jiang Yan was unexpectedly close to him.
The other party’s warm breath invaded his nose, almost pressing against him. Seeing there was no escape, Jiang Yunian simply closed his eyes like an NPC who had to complete a task, resigning himself to fate.
Jiang Yan stopped abruptly and laughed low. “What, thought I was going to kiss you?”
Jiang Yunian opened his eyes, his cheeks burning instantly. He stammered, “T-Then let’s continue watching the movie…”
Before he finished speaking, a large hand with distinct knuckles seized the back of his neck, forcibly pulling him closer. Two pairs of lips pressed together seamlessly. The moment their lips touched, Jiang Yunian’s breath hitched.
“Guessed right,” Jiang Yan said against his lips. “I am going to kiss you.”
The kiss gradually deepened. In the dim light of the cinema, only the sound of interlaced breathing remained. Jiang Yunian was held in his arms, his fingers nervously clenching the corner of the other’s clothes, awkwardly tilting his head to endure it. Jiang Yan’s fingertips gently rubbed the back of his neck, bringing waves of shivers.
While they were kissing self-indulgently here, Zhou Shu in the front row, having just successfully stolen a kiss, was feeling triumphant. Suddenly, he heard rustling wet sounds coming from behind. It was a bit of a mood killer; he wondered why there were dogs gnawing on bones in the cinema. Looking back, it was those two. Jiang Yan was holding the person and kissing him inseparably. That wolf-like ferocity looked like he wanted to swallow the person whole. The person in his arms held his shoulders weakly, his head tilted up obediently just to make it easier for him to apply force. This scene made Zhou Shu click his tongue: “Beast.”
Jiang Yunian vaguely felt someone watching. He whimpered and pushed Jiang Yan’s shoulder, trying to make him stop, but the hand pressing on his neck increased its strength, unshakeable. From an angle he couldn’t see, Jiang Yan suddenly lifted his eyelids, sweeping a cold glance at the front row, his eyes full of warning. The arm holding the person tightened slightly, as if sensing the vigilance of a predator whose prey was being coveted.
Zhou Shu rolled his eyes. It’s not like I don’t have a wife; act like anyone wants to steal yours.
After collecting a long kiss, the movie happened to end. Jiang Yan released the hand imprisoning him, pursing his lips with a satisfied look: “Cola flavored, really sweet.”
Saying that, he picked up the last mouthful of unwanted cola his brother left in the cup holder and drank it all.
“That was my leftover…” Jiang Yunian was wiping the saliva from his mouth and reminded him in a small voice upon seeing his action.
Jiang Yan sucked the cup dry without leaving a drop, spouting nonsense solemnly: “Ge’s little mouth is so sweet, I was afraid someone would steal a drink.”
“…” Jiang Yunian felt he could no longer use normal logic to understand Jiang Yan. Who would drink someone else’s leftovers?
“Me,” Jiang Yan said indifferently.
Until the movie ended, Jiang Yunian’s head was still dizzy, and his mouth was numb. Jiang Yan settled him on the lobby sofa to let him recover while he went to hail a taxi.
“Tsk, can’t even walk?” Zhou Shu dragged He Qing, who had also been kissed soft, over. Looking at Jiang Yunian’s small frame spread out on the chair back, and thinking of Jiang Yan’s gnawing vigor just now—wishing he could eat the person into his stomach—he couldn’t help cursing “beast” again.
“You think you’re any better?” He Qing said faintly, before being manually muted by him.
Jiang Yunian didn’t want to be laughed at. He sat up straighter, his little mouth babbling trying to explain that he wasn’t kissed until he couldn’t walk, and Jiang Yan wasn’t a beast; they were originally planning to take a taxi anyway.
“Save it. Look at how swollen your mouth is, yet you’re still defending him.” Zhou Shu smiled teasingly. “Listen to this Young Master: dump him ASAP.”
He Qing unprecedentedly nodded along.
Jiang Yunian frowned his delicate brows. Just as he was about to rebut, out of the corner of his eye, he glimpsed Jiang Yan walking toward them.
Before leaving, Zhou Shu didn’t forget to scare him: “You two haven’t hit a home run yet, right?”
Jiang Yunian didn’t expect him to ask so bluntly; he was stunned into silence.
Zhou Shu glanced at a certain person getting closer and closer, whispered some dirty words to him, and finally left a piece of advice: “If you know what’s good for you, run quickly, otherwise he can f*** you to death…”
“How do you know? You guys really…” He Qing suddenly pushed him away, his eyes round. Seeing the situation going south and nearly capsizing in the gutter, Zhou Shu hurriedly hugged the person to coax: “I was tricking him for fun; you believed that? Where would I have the leisure to look at him? At most, I accidentally glanced in the toilet… could I even be interested in him?”
While speaking, he hurriedly coaxed He Qing into the car, leaving Jiang Yunian sitting alone on the spot, his cheeks burning severely.
“Why is your face so red?” Jiang Yan walked up to him, bending slightly to touch his face.
Jiang Yunian lifted his chin and met that area between his legs. Thinking of Zhou Shu’s words just now, his face turned even redder. He shook his head, then lowered it to whisper, “Too hot…”
Hot?
It was already winter.
Jiang Yunian’s heart was in turmoil. He was both afraid of and reluctant to refuse what was about to happen. Being a man himself, he understood how hard Jiang Yan had been enduring, but thinking of Zhou Shu’s sentence, he couldn’t help but feel timid…
Back home, Jiang Yan first went to the kitchen to brew a cup of honey water for his brother to moisten his throat, otherwise it would hurt from screaming too much at night.
Jiang Yunian quietly slipped into the bedroom. Knowing this would happen sooner or later, he had made many preparations in advance. He hid the things he prepared in the nightstand, then sneakily drilled into the bathroom.
The shower sprayed water continuously. Shadows moved behind the frosted glass door; no one knew what the person inside was doing.
After washing for nearly an hour, Jiang Yunian walked out carrying a body of steam. His fair skin was steamed pink by the heat, and water dripped from the tips of his hair.
“Why did you wash for so long?” Jiang Yan smelled the fragrance of shower gel. Glimpsing his flushed little face and his thin, white, long figure washed fragrant and soft, his Adam’s apple moved slightly, forcing himself to look away. “Come drink water.”
The old TV was on as usual, playing that sappy idol drama again. Even at this time, he still had the mind to watch TV.
Jiang Yunian pinched his fingers, dawdling over, and sat down beside him. Looking at the honey water in his hand, he was a bit confused. Doesn’t one drink this before sleeping? Why drink it now?
Could he have… forgotten?
The other party didn’t seem very expectant about their first time. Jiang Yunian went to take it with some disappointment, but Jiang Yan shook off his reaching hand and stopped the cup rim directly at his lips. “Drink.”
Jiang Yunian was forced to tilt his head back, open his mouth, and accept the man’s feeding sip by sip.
“Gulp… okay…” A bit of honey water flowed down the corner of his mouth, wetting the collar of his pajamas, sticky and sweet.
Only after finishing it all was he allowed to stop. Jiang Yan pulled out a tissue to wipe him dry, his movements careful and focused. Jiang Yunian obediently let him serve him. After wiping, he muttered softly that he could do it himself; he wasn’t a child needing an adult to feed him.
“I just like taking care of Ge.” Jiang Yan chuckled lightly. “It’s best if eating, drinking, what to eat, and how much to eat are all under my control.”
Jiang Yunian fell for his trap, saying, “Controlling everything… if this goes on, I’ll really become a waste.” Although he said this, he enjoyed the feeling of not having to worry about anything, sweetness rising in his heart. Having been alone for so long, this was the first time someone treated him with such warmth and care, loving him in every detail. How could he bear to refuse?
Jiang Yan: “Then I’ll raise Ge into a little waste, never able to leave me in the future.”
“I wouldn’t leave anyway…”
Jiang Yunian unconsciously moved closer to him, his fluffy head rubbing against the other’s shoulder, carrying a hint of suggestion. However, the person beside him didn’t receive the signal at all. After a moment of silence, he suddenly asked, “What about me?”
“What?” Jiang Yunian looked confused.
“If it was me… leaving, would Ge be sad?”
“Where are you going?” Jiang Yunian mumbled. “Where can you go…”
“I’m saying if.”
He didn’t like this kind of hypothetical question; it was meaningless. But since Jiang Yan wanted to hear it, he answered honestly: “I would… so can you not go?”
Jiang Yan didn’t speak. He just dropped a light kiss between his eyebrows and said hoarsely, “Wherever I go, I will come back to find Ge. Ge can only be with me in this life.”
Jiang Yunian nestled into his arms and responded shyly, “Me too.”
The living room suddenly became quiet, with only the sound of TV commercials. The person beside him made no movement for a long time, nor did he speak. Jiang Yunian couldn’t hold back anymore.
“You…” Jiang Yunian pursed his lips, finally plucking up the courage to ask in a small voice, “Tonight… do you want to… sleep together?”
Jiang Yan snapped out of it, hooked his lips, and pretended not to hear clearly. “Sleepy?”
“Then go to sleep early.”
Jiang Yunian wilted instantly. Asking proactively had exhausted all his courage. He pouted, aggrieved as he was carried into the bedroom, and burrowed into the covers to sulk.
“Then, Ge, goodnight.”
Hearing the door close, Jiang Yunian was as angry as a crisp potato chip. He pulled open the quilt, opened his eyes to look at the door, but crashed into a pair of smiling eyes.
“Why did you… Mmph!”
Before he finished speaking, he was pounced on by Jiang Yan, pressed onto the bed, and forcibly kissed. The kiss was heavy. Jiang Yunian was completely suppressed in this kind of matter; he went soft as soon as he was kissed. Feeling something hard pressing against him, he reacted with a flushed face.
“Such an important matter, how could I possibly forget.” Jiang Yan licked away the traces at the corner of his mouth.
The difference in their body sizes was particularly conspicuous under the light. Jiang Yunian was obviously fairer, lying stiffly, clean and flawless, biting his lip shyly, his fingers unconsciously resisting against his chest. This resisting yet not resisting cute appearance made Jiang Yan’s eyes darken.
Jiang Yunian felt his change and shrank back. Remembering Zhou Shu’s words, he was both afraid and expectant. After a struggle in his heart, he closed his eyes, opened the nightstand, and handed the things he prepared to him. “I’m all prepared. You… be gentle.”
Hearing him say he had “prepared” both himself and the items, Jiang Yan laughed low. How can he be so cute? So he didn’t take out what he had prepared in the other drawer. He picked up a small box with Japanese printed on it and deliberately asked what it was.
Jiang Yunian hung his fluffy head, ear tips dripping blood, and punched him, telling him to stop pretending.
Jiang Yan looked innocent: “Ge understands this so well? Ge teach me.”
He pretended to look at it, muttering, “Why does it look a bit familiar? Like the brand distributed at the lecture that day.”
“Ge still doesn’t seem to know me very well.” Saying that, he made a move to throw it away.
“Hey!” Jiang Yunian hurriedly held his hand. “This was newly bought.”
He had helped Jiang Yan so many times; how could he not be familiar?
“So Ge bought this specifically for me?” Jiang Yan asked. “When?”
Jiang Yunian whispered something. Jiang Yan raised an eyebrow. “So early? Buying this not long after getting together, does it mean Ge wanted to give yourself to me long ago? Just that impatient?”
Jiang Yunian was extremely annoyed by his words and covered his mouth directly. If he teased any longer, the person would really run away. Jiang Yan quit while he was ahead, opened the box, took one out, and stuffed it into his hand, saying he was more familiar with it, so Ge should teach him.
Jiang Yunian had to sit up a bit, facing him. The gaze from above almost pierced him. His heart thumped loudly. All the homework he had done before was forgotten at this moment, just like on stage at the lecture that day. His fingers trembled, and with a slip, he actually tore it open.
“Seems Ge doesn’t want me to use it.” Jiang Yan’s dangerous voice rang out. “On purpose?”
“No… I didn’t mean to.” Jiang Yunian saw his gaze and was a bit afraid, retreating continuously. The other party was offended by his fleeing action, grabbing him somewhat fiercely and pulling him back.
Jiang Yunian watched helplessly at the displeasure on the other’s face, reminding him with effort, “Haven’t yet…”
Jiang Yan’s movement paused. He threw that box away without blinking, leaned over under the other’s shocked gaze, and kissed his lips. “It’s Ge who didn’t want me to use it.”
“No I didn’t mmph…”
Jiang Yunian’s lip skin was bitten open. He tilted his head, tears spilling out, which were licked away gently in the blink of an eye. Throughout the rest of the night, he could no longer maintain consciousness, floating and sinking between dreams and wakefulness, passively accepting everything given to him.
