Chapter 9: When President Shou Has Two Pig Teammates Causing Trouble Together
Old Deng couldn’t believe it and exclaimed on the spot, “Why?”
Shou Jiaxun had to repeat what he had just told the Dean to his homeroom teacher, and with an even firmer tone.
The two directors, one in front of the desk and one behind, exchanged confused glances, then questioned Shou Jiaxun together: “If you don’t go to school, what do you plan to do out there?”
“Exactly! You are only eighteen, and an Omega at that. You have no degree, no physical strength; construction sites won’t even use you to move bricks. If you don’t go to school properly, are you going to sit at tables in a nightclub? Then your life is ruined! Do you understand?”
Teacher Deng was heartbroken, showing that the teacher-student affection from over two years of day-to-day interaction wasn’t fake. He treated every student almost like his own child, although as a Beta, he didn’t have children himself.
Shou Jiaxun was also quite anxious. “I’ve already discussed with a friend to open a fruit shop together. The money the school refunds me is my startup capital! Although it’s a small business, it’s really important to me. Teachers, can you be lenient?”
“Fruit shop?”
“Those convenience stores inside residential compounds?”
The two teachers exchanged glances again. One advised earnestly with bitter concern, “Life is a long journey with no end in sight. If you drop out now, it will become the biggest regret on this road, and you can’t turn back to walk it again.”
The other nodded briefly with grave meaningfulness. “Correct.”
Shou Jiaxun scratched his forehead in depression, then stood up. “I think the initiative regarding whether to continue school lies with me. If you two insist on making the decision for me, I think I need to talk to the principal.”
His homeroom teacher, Old Deng, also stood up, placing a hand on Shou Jiaxunâs shoulder like a good buddy. “You can, but I think you can consider it again; after all, it’s a major life event. Give yourself a few more days to think clearly.”
While speaking, he put his arm around little Student Shou and walked slowly out. “The principal certainly hopes you return to school; otherwise, Director Sun and I wouldn’t be keeping you here.”
Teacher Deng led Shou Jiaxun out of the Academic Affairs Office and stood at the door to take out his phone.
Then, Shou Jiaxunâs phone in his trouser pocket buzzed.
“I transferred some money to you; use it first,” Teacher Deng said. “In two days… how about we set it for next Monday? Think about it for a few more days. Come back next Monday. If you still insist on dropping out, we’ll formally go through the subsequent procedures.”
Shou Jiaxun nodded, torn between laughter and tears. “Actually, I really have thought very clearly.”
Teacher Deng put his index finger to his lips in a shushing gesture. “Anyway, think again. Whatever the decision, tell us next week.”
The long-lost teacher-student affection brought President Shouâs mood back to when he was seventeen or eighteen in his previous life. So, depressed as he was, there was a little touched feeling in his heart.
In the end, he could only nod and agree to postpone the dropout process by a week.
The sun hung high, spreading heat waves. Shou Jiaxun pulled the brim of his baseball cap as low as possible after leaving the school gate, his eyes looking only at the square inch of ground within two steps beneath his feet.
He dialed his phone as he walked. The signal rang for a long time before Guo Duoyu pressed the answer key on the other side, asking carelessly, “What’s up?”
Shou Jiaxun opened his mouth with a mouthful of complaints: “You really are a pig teammate!”
“What did I do?” Guo Duoyu didn’t understand.
“I almost got the money refunded today, but now I have to wait another week.” Shou Jiaxun sighed heavily, then made a request righteously, “Anyway, I still don’t have money to rent a place now. Don’t go home this weekend; I can’t move out for the time being.”
Guo Duoyu didn’t care about that, but he pursued curiously, “Oh, they won’t refund your money? What does that have to do with me? How am I a pig teammate?”
Shou Jiaxun clicked his tongue in resentment. “The video on the roof was a trump card I wanted to keep; in case Yin Xi used the table-sitting thing to smear me later, I would bring it out to counter-kill him. Now that you leaked the video in advance, Old Deng thinks I’m not beyond cure, so he doesn’t want to let me drop out anymore. He gave me a long lecture just now, telling me to go back to class.”
Guo Duoyu scoffed. “Then go back. Isn’t that pretty good?”
President Shou scolded in a deep voice, “Good my ass! I agreed with your dad to open a shop together; we’re all waiting for the startup capital!”
“Tsk…” Guo Duoyu clicked his tongue, immediately defending himself. “Really none of my business. I only sent it to Bai Fan to see, and I specifically told him not to spread it.”
“Ay hey hey…” Shou Jiaxun was laughed into anger by him. Continuing would just be wrangling, so he simply hung up the phone.
Because “Li Mai International High School” was a fully boarding school, in order to make the campus area as large as possible, the location was quite remote.
There were few people and cars outside the school, and even the sidewalks were paved narrower than in the city area.
Shou Jiaxun was originally walking by borrowing a bit of shade from the school’s outer wall on the right side. As he lowered his head to put away the phone, he suddenly saw a pair of feet appear within his line of sight.
His cap was still pulled low; at first glance, he only saw below the other person’s knees. Since the person had already stopped, Shou Jiaxun naturally stepped quickly to the left to yield.
But just as he passed the other person, he was forcefully bumped by that person from the side.
“Hey!?” President Shou exclaimed subconsciously, simultaneously looking up and bracing his arms to push back.
Unfortunately, the young Omegaâs strength was insufficient. In the blink of an eye, he was shoved into a sedan parked against the curb by the other party.
President Shou stumbled three times in one step, his heels slipping off the curb. His butt landed on the car seat cushion, and his upper body fell into someone’s arms.
This “someone” was not just anyone…
Speaking like this seemed a bit awkward, but it really wasn’t some irrelevant outsider. It was his, Shou Jiaxunâs, “Former ¡ Fated” husband, Xiao Yu.
President Shou sat up straight, frowned, and questioned, “Hey! What are you doing?”
Thinking to himself: Didn’t I already cut the ‘Red String’ with him?! Why is he still pestering me? This doesn’t conform to sci… metaphysic! logic either.
Xiao Yu first pressed the central lock to lock the car doors, then ordered the driver to drive. Finally, he issued orders to Shou Jiaxun with a tyrannical tone: “Go to the hospital first to check your head, see if you actually have a disease…”
Shou Jiaxun couldn’t wait for him to finish speaking and couldn’t resist returning the politeness: “You’re the one with a disease.”
Xiao Yu glared at him. “If you’re not sick, go back to school. I’ve already found someone to help settle the matter of your expulsion. You can return to class anytime.”
Little President Shou, who thought he had calculated everything, suddenly realized he had wronged Guo Duoyu.
It turned out the rooftop video was just the “topic” borrowed. The “pig teammate” who truly exerted energy to obstruct him from making big money was someone else!
“Found someone… found your dad, huh… F*ck.” Little President Shou cursed and glared back at Xiao Yu.
And Xiao Yu surprisingly didn’t refute it.
Shou Jiaxun thought: Looks like he really found his dad.
“Keep your mouth clean.” Class Monitor Xiao scolded in a deep voice. “I think even if nothing is growing inside your head, your brain didn’t grow normally. Either sitting at tables selling alcohol or running off to sell stinking fish and rotten shrimp. Did you descend the mountain as a monkey spirit learning to be human, here to experience all 360 trades?”
Shou Jiaxun curled his lip and sneered. “None of your…”
“Shut up!” Class Monitor Xiao shouted, blocking the word “business” back.
