Chapter 18: Have You Kissed Him?
Qin Wan was pinned under Gu Xinglan, subjected to an aggressive interrogation.
His body trembled uncontrollably, cold sweat beading on his forehead.
“Brother, I didn’t… didn’t mean to lie to you…”
“I can explain!”
Gu Xinglan raised his eyebrow slightly. “Good, explain.”
As he spoke, he pulled out that textured Versace black lambskin belt from his waist.
Capturing both of Qin Wan’s hands, he flipped the person over onto the bed and roughly tied his hands behind his back.
“No! Please, don’t tie me…” The fear in Qin Wan’s heart was already uncontrollable.
“I give you one minute to explain.” Gu Xinglan’s voice was gloomy and cold, exuding deep pressure.
“If the explanation satisfies me, I’ll be gentler with you. Otherwise, I don’t mind using a bit more strength.”
While speaking, the movements of his hands didn’t stop.
With a yank, he pulled down the light-colored lounge pants Qin Wan was wearing.
Qin Wan’s breathing almost stopped.
He was so scared he couldn’t say a word.
“You have fifty seconds left.” Gu Xinglan’s voice carried a hint of malicious schadenfreude.
“I’ll talk! I’ll talk… He is… is my second brother, the Second Young Master of the Sheng family…”
After Qin Wan was taken back to the Sheng family at four years old, his life had been a living hell.
In the darkness, the only salvation, besides Aunt Rong, was the Sheng family’s Second Young Master, Sheng Siyue.
Sheng Siyue was two years older than Qin Wan.
When they first met, Qin Wan thought this little brother, although pretty, had a cold expression and rarely spoke, so he must be hard to get along with; he was even a bit afraid of him.
But after a while, he understood that this little brother had no interest in bullying him.
And that big brother who looked like he had a bright smile and spoke kindly was actually the big villain.
Sheng Sinian was nine that year, nearly a head taller than Qin Wan. Bullying the bean-sprout-like Qin Wan took no effort at all.
In the beginning, Qin Wan called the two brothers “Big Brother” and “Second Brother.”
But after violently beating tiny Qin Wan once, Sheng Sinian viciously told him that he didn’t have such a brother.
He demanded to be called “Eldest Young Master.”
From then on, Qin Wan called Sheng Sinian “Eldest Young Master.”
Although Qin Wan was young, his mind was sensitive, and he was good at reading expressions.
He thought that since his big brother was like this, his second brother might not like him either, so he changed his address to call Sheng Siyue “Second Young Master.”
But Sheng Siyue told him to just call him Brother.
Thus, in the sprawling Sheng mansion, he had his only brother.
In the first few years, Sheng Siyue was also young and couldn’t influence the Sheng family bullying Qin Wan.
But he would secretly protect him.
When Qin Wan was punished to kneel in the snow, he would take advantage of the night to bring him a fur cape and a cotton cushion. Then, just as the sky was turning light, he would quietly take them away.
When Qin Wan was falsely accused of stealing money from Mrs. Sheng’s room, he used his own money to secretly put it back, shutting those people’s mouths and saving him from punishment.
Later, as they grew older, being the Second Young Master, his words carried some weight.
When the Sheng family, including the servants, bullied Qin Wan, he would always step out to stop it.
He also frequently asked Aunt Rong to help take care of Qin Wan in secret.
Five years ago, Qin Wan’s escape from the Sheng family was also planned and executed with Sheng Siyue’s help.
So in Qin Wan’s heart, this brother’s position was irreplaceable.
“I didn’t want to deliberately hide it from you… I lied just now because… because I was worried you would be unhappy…”
Sobbing, Qin Wan confessed the matter to Gu Xinglan intermittently.
Gu Xinglan was silent for a moment, then picked Qin Wan up and gathered him into his arms.
Staring into his eyes for a while.
His clear black eyes were covered with a thin mist of tears, his small face crumpled.
Gu Xinglan’s expression held no ripples.
“Since Sheng Siyue treats you so well, in the five years you escaped here, why did he not ask or care, letting you live such a destitute life?”
Qin Wan lowered his eyes. “Back then, Second Brother helped us stage a drowning accident so the Sheng family thought Aunt Rong and I were dead.”
“Second Brother said he wouldn’t contact me for a few years, otherwise Sheng Sinian would definitely find out and chase us down.”
Qin Wan’s eyelashes drooped, his expression extremely desolate.
“When I left, Second Brother gave me a card with two million on it. That was his entire savings. At that time, he was only sixteen…”
“But after falling into the water, the card was lost. So, Second Brother doesn’t know we are living in poverty now…”
Gu Xinglan pressed his lips together, staring at Qin Wan’s pale little face.
The faint scar on his right eyelid, reflected by the soft light, looked somewhat heartbreaking.
“These aren’t excuses. If he really cared about you, there would be plenty of ways to meet,” Gu Xinglan said.
Qin Wan pursed his lips, choosing his words carefully. “Second Brother is different from you; he doesn’t hold power. And the Eldest Young Master is a sinister and cunning person; he simply couldn’t outmaneuver him.”
Qin Wan felt that Gu Xinglan and his wicked-beyond-redemption eldest brother were somewhat evenly matched.
Ordinary, normal people—who could outplay people like them?
Gu Xinglan didn’t dwell on this issue but switched to another question.
“Have you and Sheng Siyue ever kissed?”
Qin Wan’s eyes widened instantly. Looking up at him, his eyes were full of astonishment. “He is my brother! How is that possible?”
Qin Wan felt this man was truly quite insane.
Gu Xinglan snorted coldly. “Don’t mention half-siblings; even with biological brothers, it’s not uncommon.”
Qin Wan’s handsome brows furrowed tightly.
He really wanted to explode and scold this dog of a man whose brain was full of nonsense, but he held it back.
“He is my brother!” He repeated the sentence again; it was his final stubbornness.
Unexpectedly, Gu Xinglan replied coldly, “Not anymore.”
“Qin Wan, you can only call me Brother. I don’t mind if you address him as ‘Second Brother’.”
As he spoke, the color of his eyes turned cold.
“And if I hear you calling him in your dreams again, I promise to make you suffer consequences you can’t bear.”
Qin Wan’s eyes stared round.
“W-Why? You can’t… can’t be so domineering!”
He held onto his last breath of courage and shouted.
Gu Xinglan: “I can’t?”
Saying that, he reached out and tugged the gold chain on Qin Wan’s ankle, making a crisp clatter sound.
His eyebrow raised slightly, a half-smile playing on his lips. “Can’t I?”
Qin Wan gritted his teeth, the corners of his lips pulled into a straight line.
Gu Xinglan’s long fingers tilted his chin up. “What, not convinced?”
Qin Wan’s chest heaved violently a few times, but eventually, he lowered his head.
“No.”
“It’s best if you aren’t,” Gu Xinglan said, lowering his head to rub his lips against Qin Wan’s.
He found the temperature of his lips was somewhat low, ice-cold.
It seemed the torment just now had frightened him quite a bit.
Gu Xinglan’s heart softened slightly.
Hesitating whether to let him off tonight.
But on second thought, he was the one who lied and deceived first.
A little liar who refused to change despite repeated warnings deserved to be punished.
“Qin Wan, your lips are cold. Brother will warm them for you, okay?”
He spoke gently, then lowered his head and kissed his lips with absolutely no gentleness.
Qin Wan’s hands were tied behind his back, his body held by him, unable to move even a bit, so he could only passively endure his kiss.
He kissed heavily and fiercely, moving from the lips all the way down, kissing the neck, collarbone, and chest.
Wherever he went, spots of red marks were immediately stamped.
“Qin Wan, call me…” His voice was very low, yet it was an order.
Qin Wan bit his lip. “…Brother…”
Gu Xinglan pushed further. “Tell me, who do you belong to?”
Qin Wan’s breathing became increasingly rapid.
He didn’t make a sound.
Gu Xinglan took a harsh bite on his chest, like a punishment.
“Speak.”
Qin Wan’s body trembled.
Finally, he had to speak, full of grievance: “I… belong to you…”
The corner of Gu Xinglan’s lips hooked up slightly. “Good boy…”
