Shocking The Madman Stole Someone Else’s Canary to be His Wife Chapter 34

Chapter 34: Do You Want to Break the Contract?

Covered by the suit jacket, darkness was before his eyes; only looking down allowed a faint weak light.

With vision blocked, hearing became exceptionally sensitive.

The sound of the dining cart and the waiter’s greeting rang out separated from them. Wen Yan subconsciously weakened his struggle, grabbing Pei Zhouye’s clothes.

He only hoped others wouldn’t recognize it was him.

These were all Pei Zhouye’s people; they would definitely stand on Pei Zhouye’s side. Struggling to get the suit jacket off would only make him lose more face.

The sense of shame grew heavier.

The sound of the waiter pushing the cart at the end of the corridor drifted further away. The force of Pei Zhouye kicking open the storage room door shook the door frame with a muffled sound.

“Pei Zhouye! Let me go!”

Wen Yan was placed gently on stacked cardboard boxes, the jacket sliding off.

The storage room smelled of disinfectant and the moldy scent of old cardboard boxes. The only light source came from a surveillance console in the corner that seemed out of place here, the screen displaying split-screen footage from various parts of the banquet.

In the dim light, that handsome face was very close to him, looking at him almost piously.

Pei Zhouye looked at those eyes, the tails and ear tips red, glaring at him hatefully, and only felt he was cute and pitiful.

“What exactly do you want to do?” Wen Yan’s voice carried a trembling sob.

The person in front of him was an evil ghost wearing human skin. Worldly rules didn’t restrict him at all. Wen Yan only felt he was hateful and terrifying.

“You lost.”

Pei Zhouye’s voice was low and cold, pointing at that surveillance console.

On the interface of the surveillance console, one of the split screens was enlarged, the picture and sound clearly displayed there.

In the center of the picture was Gu Yulan.

Behind a carved door frame, Gu Yulan was clinking glasses with several men in suits.

“Gu Er, is it worth offending Young Master Pei for a golden canary?”

Gu Yulan clinked glasses silently and drank a mouthful of wine.

This place was remote, and there were waiters watching nearby; Wen Yan couldn’t find this place.

But Wen Yan probably didn’t want to see him now either, hiding somewhere unknown.

A middle-aged man with slicked-back hair swirled his wine glass, his tone carrying a few hints of teasing. “I heard that Wen Yan is just a canary you keep. If you’re tired of playing, just give him away. Is it worth offending the Pei family for a ‘plaything’?”

“Impossible!” Gu Yulan frowned and interrupted, his eyes ruthless.

He had never had the thought of giving Wen Yan away. Even when Wen Yan didn’t let him get close, he hadn’t forced him. Let alone giving him to others!

Even if Wen Yan was angry now, he had no way to leave him. As long as Wen Yan didn’t know the truth, when he got the Gu family shares, he would treat Wen Yan well and make up for these faults.

“What?” That person was startled by Gu Yulan’s momentum just now. Reacting, his face looked a bit bad.

Gu Yulan looked up, saw the other party’s face, and his eyes softened again. “President Li.”

This was a connection Gu Yulan had managed to approach with great difficulty; it couldn’t be destroyed in a moment.

“Protecting him so tightly.” Seeing Gu Yulan’s submissive appearance, that person laughed proudly, drinking another glass of wine unhurriedly. “Really moved? Do you want that project from Tomorrow? If you want it, name a price, give the person up.”

Words were frivolous and insulting. Gu Yulan’s fingers holding the wine glass tightened, knuckles turning white.

He was silent for two seconds, suddenly pulling a smile, his tone flippant: “How is that possible? President Li, don’t be anxious. I haven’t played enough yet. I’ll send you a few cleaner ones when I go back.”

Inside the storage room.

Gu Yulan’s voice from the surveillance feed came through clearly. Wen Yan’s fists clenched until nails dug into flesh, his whole body cold to the point of losing sensation.

Everything connected. Why Gu Yulan forced him to meet those people who weren’t really friends, why his so-called friends had that attitude towards him, why Gu Yulan didn’t refute when they met Gu Yuqing that night.

It turned out from the very beginning, Gu Yulan said he was a canary kept for two million.

The usual gentleness and consideration, the whispered promises, were all fake! Gu Yulan had been lying to him all along!

Every retreat and consideration of his became evidence of humiliation.

Wen Yan didn’t even notice tears spilling from his eyes, still staring blankly at the screen.

“Do you believe it now?” Pei Zhouye’s voice sounded overhead, carrying a kind of almost cruel patience. “He has been lying to you from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter, I won’t let him have it easy…”

He raised his hand wanting to wipe Wen Yan’s tears, but was flung away fiercely by the other party.

“What business is it of yours!” Wen Yan’s voice shook terribly. “Is it fun watching me being played like a fool? And what kind of good person are you?”

He clearly knew these things long ago, yet chose such a way to push him into another abyss.

All along, with what eyes did he view him, and what was his purpose?

“Do you want to break the contract?” The smile in Pei Zhouye’s peach blossom eyes vanished completely, leaving only surging dark tides. His voice was deep and paranoid as he pressed, “Even like this, you still aren’t willing to break up with him?”

Wen Yan looked up sharply, meeting Pei Zhouye’s scarlet eyes directly.

Danger and oppression rushed over!

He trembled all over, instinctively propping himself up to flee, but before he could take half a step, a brute force suddenly attacked from behind.

“Ugh!”

Pei Zhouye’s arm clamped around his waist like iron pincers, yanking him back ruthlessly. Wen Yan’s back hit a hard chest. Before he could struggle, his wrists were grabbed and twisted behind his back.

“Pei Zhouye! You…”

His chin was pinched hard, forcing him to look up and open his mouth.

Pei Zhouye’s eyes surged with violence as he lowered his head and bit onto his lips.

This wasn’t a kiss; it was punishment.

The scorching tip of the tongue rudely pried open his teeth, sweeping through every inch of the oral cavity like conquering territory. Wen Yan was kissed to suffocation. Just as his struggling knee pushed out, it was firmly pinned down by Pei Zhouye’s leg.

Humiliation. Anger.

Breath was plundered, the air in his lungs becoming thinner and thinner, vision even starting to go black. His face flushed red, chest heaving violently, but he refused to close his eyes, nor refused to look away in weakness.

Pei Zhouye finally let go of him.

The man straightened up unhurriedly, the tip of his tongue licking the corner of his lips unsatisfied, dark desire surging in his eyes. His thumb, pinching Wen Yan’s chin, rubbed forcefully, leaving an ambiguous red mark.

“Break up,” he lowered his voice, carrying an irresistible oppression, “Or—”

His finger pad heavily ground over Wen Yan’s lip bitten broken by him. Pei Zhouye suddenly smiled, but there was no warmth in his eyes.

“I will personally help you break up.”

Tears fell. Wen Yan turned his face away in humiliation, not looking at Pei Zhouye’s face.

He was blind to people’s character. His first love met a piece of scum.

Now, his first kiss was forced upon him by another bastard!

“Bastard.” Wen Yan gritted his teeth and cursed aloud.

The other party wasn’t annoyed; instead, he shamelessly took it as some reward, narrowing his peach blossom eyes and leaning closer.

“Baby, curse again.”
