How Did the Promised Yandere Villain Become a Clingy, Obedient Dog? Chapter 36

Chapter 36: Regretting It?

“Packing things for school. Afraid I missed something; it would be troublesome if things are missing then.” Cheng Ge put distance between him and Wen Ling, staring at the face before him for a moment. Fair and beautiful, pure and innocent. But under such a mask, exactly how many terrifying things were there?

To what degree was the current little lunatic crazy?

“Want me to help you check?” Cheng Ge suggested, and teased Wen Ling, “Feel like you are scatterbrained.”

“Am I?” Wen Ling frowned. Not angry, purely questioning.

“Yes. Tell me where you put your tablet?”

“On the sofa.”

“No.”

“The table in front of the sofa?”

“No.”

“You’re lying. I definitely put it on the sofa.” Wen Ling’s eyes opened wide and round, confident, firmly believing there was no problem with his memory.

“Not lying to you, really. Under your pillow. If you don’t believe me, go look yourself.”

Wen Ling walked back to the room, lifted the pillow, and found the tablet really was under the pillow.

But he had absolutely no memory of this.

“When did I put it there?” Wen Ling was wearing loose pajamas, the sleeping pants almost dragging on the floor, stacking loosely at his ankles. Hair uncombed, messy and fluffy, eyes full of doubt and strangeness, looking silly.

“You drew for a while before sleeping yesterday, and stuffed it there yourself when you fell asleep.” Cheng Ge’s expression was normal. He bent down to pull up Wen Ling’s pants. “Are you wearing my pants by mistake? So big, dragging on the floor.”

Wen Ling also lowered his head to look. “Possible.”

“Wearing the wrong pants and still saying you aren’t scatterbrained. Which time is this?”

“What does it matter?” Wen Ling felt it was just wearing the wrong pants; did Cheng Ge have to be so petty? But the facts were in front of him; he was indeed prone to missing this and that.

Wen Ling was a bit embarrassed, smiling at Cheng Ge with a tiny bit of ingratiation. “Then you help me check.”

“Alright,” Cheng Ge changed the subject. “Ate breakfast yet?”

“Not yet.”

“Go eat quickly. In that small clay pot, should still be hot.” After speaking, he didn’t forget to roast in a whisper, “Always not eating breakfast on time.”

Wen Ling’s ears heard it. Not angry, he even came back to kiss Cheng Ge on the face before leaving.

Cheng Ge: “?”

001: [Hehe da.]

Cheng Ge: [You want to die?]

001: [No, just feel the host’s acting skills are exquisite.]

Cheng Ge: [Thanks for the praise.]

001: […]

Actually, Wen Ling did put the tablet on the sofa. Cheng Ge secretly hid it under his pillow last night.

The cause of this incident was last time when Wen Ling threw his tablet in the duvet and forgot about it himself. He looked for a day, and also suspected Cheng Ge for a day, using all kinds of methods trying to find the tablet’s whereabouts from Cheng Ge.

Cheng Ge didn’t know how this guy suspected him. It was like two people sharing a desk; when one person’s exam paper went missing, the first thought in their brain was “Did my desk mate hide it?”

Cheng Ge found Wen Ling’s paranoid look particularly amusing, so he thought about teasing Wen Ling, hiding the tablet under his pillow while he was fast asleep.

Unexpectedly, it was now used as an excuse to prove Wen Ling was scatterbrained so he could check his luggage.

He wasn’t really afraid Wen Ling missed bringing something. Just that the death certificate alerted Cheng Ge that Wen Ling wasn’t as good-tempered as he appeared now. He was still a villain, needing constraint and supervision.

Just in case Wen Ling brought some contraband, controlled knives, Cheng Ge had to take precautions in advance.

The result of the search was that no dangerous tools were found. Instead, he discovered Wen Ling really forgot to bring a huge pile of things. Toothpaste, clothes hangers, umbrella—none were taken. In the end, it really turned into helping him check for missing luggage…

Originally Cheng Ge wanted to mail their luggage to school, but seeing the campus wall post that the courier station was piled with luggage like a mountain, making it hard to find anything, it was better to bring it themselves.

His and Wen Ling’s luggage wasn’t ridiculously much. Calling a minivan, it was just enough to fill it.

The closer it got to school starting, the more excited and thrilled Cheng Ge’s mood was. But he could still clearly feel Wen Ling’s mood getting lower and lower. His sleep quality was much worse than before, always sleepy. Getting on the car before ten o’clock, he fell asleep leaning on his shoulder.

Cheng Ge pulled Wen Ling’s mask down below his nose to facilitate breathing.

He put himself in the other’s shoes. Making Wen Ling stay in a noisy school where he had to deal with interpersonal relationships did seem to be torment for him. But there was no choice; two people couldn’t stay in one house forever.

If Wen Ling didn’t go crazy, he would.

Arriving at school, Cheng Ge and Wen Ling moved the luggage downstairs to the dorm, planning to go to the canteen for lunch first before going back to the dorm to organize luggage.

The quality of the food in this school’s canteen was unknown to Cheng Ge, so Cheng Ge naturally treated Wen Ling as a food “guide.”

Cheng Ge asked him, “What’s relatively delicious in school?”

“Don’t know.”

“Then what did you eat often?”

“Takeout.”

Cheng Ge: “What takeout?”

“Forgot.”

“…”

To be safe, Cheng Ge took Wen Ling to choose the most homestyle buffet meal. The taste was okay.

“Did you bring a rag?” Cheng Ge suddenly remembered he didn’t seem to see Wen Ling bringing a rag.

Wen Ling’s reaction was a bit slow. Thinking for a while before answering, “Seems I forgot.”

“It’s okay, I brought two. After eating, I’ll take one to your dorm for you.”

Cheng Ge felt he was extremely thoughtful. Unexpectedly, Wen Ling looked like he heard something that overturned his cognition, eyes wide and staring blankly for ten seconds or so.

Scaring Cheng Ge until his heart hung in mid-air. “You… what’s wrong with you?”

“We are in different dorms!” Wen Ling’s tone was disbelief.

“Yes.” Cheng Ge didn’t understand. “What’s wrong?”

Wen Ling’s brows furrowed very tight. “You didn’t tell me…”

Cheng Ge was wronged to death, and felt Wen Ling was baffling. “No… we are in different classes, definitely different dorms. We were in different dorms last semester too.”

Wen Ling’s brain started becoming messy again. He had only thought about going to school where Cheng Ge would place his gaze on many people, and he couldn’t stay with Cheng Ge every moment.

Jealousy and unease had long filled his brain.

But Wen Ling neglected that they weren’t even in the same dorm. He couldn’t even sleep with Cheng Ge. Then what difference was there between him and ordinary people to Cheng Ge? Even stranger than ordinary people.

“I forgot… I didn’t expect…”

Wen Ling’s voice carried a tiny choking sound, eye rims slowly turning red.

This all happened too damn suddenly. Cheng Ge completely didn’t expect Wen Ling wouldn’t consider that the two of them were in different dorms! Who would believe this if told?

[Conquest value 70%]

[Conquest value 69%]

Hey hey hey! Who allowed him to drop the conquest value!!!

Cheng Ge hurriedly sat next to Wen Ling, extremely helpless. “No, Bro, Big Brother, you can’t blame me for this matter, right?”

Wen Ling held back for a good while, mumbling, “…Cannot.”

Cannot, yet you still drop my conquest value!?

“Then don’t be angry,” Cheng Ge rubbed Wen Ling’s back vigorously. “Cool down, cool down ha.”

“I don’t want it like this…” Wen Ling said.

Cheng Ge’s heart thumped, remembering that death certificate, already fantasizing the scene of Wen Ling locking him up again. “You aren’t going to regret it, are you?”

Wen Ling fell silent.

“You promised me.” Cheng Ge emphasized.

Wen Ling still didn’t make a sound.

Cheng Ge’s heart was about to die.

(Wen Ling is this kind of dorky yandere. After being taught by Little Cheng, his harm to society is almost zero. Readers who don’t like this, cut your losses in time oh.)
