【27】 Actually, I Am Wind
It took a lot of effort to finally coax Wen Ran. The two of them had dawdled outside for quite a while, and it was now already 2:00 AM.
“Alright,” Jiang Yan reached out, wanting to pull Wen Ran up. “Shall we go home now?”
But Wen Ran acted as if he didn’t see the gesture at all. Suddenly, his eyes reddened again, and he clenched his fist tight, punching the curb.
Jiang Yan was both distressed and shocked. “Crying again? How are you made of so much water?”
“Who’s crying? I just feel humiliated!” The more Wen Ran thought about it, the more he felt he had lost out. His nose was red as he sniffled twice. “I’m so angry. I actually didn’t curse at him!”
Jiang Yan: “?”
“Unless I don’t want to curse people,” he puffed up with anger, looking like a kitten brandishing its claws, “I have never suffered this kind of loss against a dumbass!”
Jiang Yan: “…”
Is this the self-cultivation of a flamer?
It seems that maintaining his image in front of Wind, and softly saying he “doesn’t hold grudges,” really isn’t easy for him.
When they returned home, Jiang Yan had just pushed open the door when he heard the sound of a keyboard being smashed coming from Song Zixuan’s room. “If I don’t reach Diamond II tonight, I won’t sleep!”
Jiang Yan: “…”
Wen Ran: “…”
Song Zixuan had started a match. Carrying a water cup and sporting a bird’s-nest hairstyle, he came out to get water and instantly saw the two people standing in the entryway.
“You two went out?”
Song Zixuan looked down and immediately saw a wrinkled spot on the abdomen area of Jiang Yan’s shirt. “Holy crap, Bro, what happened to your clothes?”
“Mom, what is that disgusting streak?”
He widened his eyes in disbelief. “You actually didn’t change and wore it back!”
“Am I seeing a ghost?”
One had to know, although Jiang Yan wasn’t a germaphobe, his love for cleanliness was unquestionable. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have put up a rental ad to recruit Wen Ran to clean.
Once clothes got dirty to this extent, usually he couldn’t even stand looking at them, let alone keep wearing them.
The culprit, Wen Ran, turned his head away uncomfortably.
“I think you’ve been beaten silly.” Jiang Yan’s gaze followed Wen Ran’s direction, and he hooked his lips. “Got it from a little wild cat.”
“Cough, cough!”
Hearing this address, Wen Ran inexplicably blushed.
“I’m going back to my room first.”
He lowered his head and flew inside, closing the door behind him.
Wen Ran threw himself onto the bed, burying his red face in the quilt.
With a personality like his, how is he like a kitten!
He should clearly be a fierce little leopard!
When Jiang Yan said “little cat” just now, Wen Ran clearly felt his heartbeat accelerate.
But he didn’t know if it was because the voice sounded like Wind, or because of Jiang Yan the person.
Wen Ran didn’t go to question Li Fenlan. Instead, after blocking all her contact information, he changed his SIM card.
The events had already happened; dwelling on them was meaningless.
He wanted to completely cut himself off from that place.
Now that he had no worries for the future, Wen Ran acted very decisively.
It was just that these past two days, he hadn’t been sleeping well.
To be precise, he was dreaming often.
And eight out of ten times, he dreamed of Jiang Yan.
At first, it was normal—Zhao Biao came over, and Jiang Yan stood up for him. Later, it became more and more outrageous. There was Jiang Yan holding his hand for a walk, Jiang Yan feeding him cake, and the most terrifying one was last night.
He actually dreamed that when Jiang Yan handed him a cup of heated milk, he deliberately let go early, and the milk flowed down his neck.
Wen Ran scrambled to find something to wipe it with, but the other party grabbed his hand and kissed him little by little, following the winding trail of milk.
Lifting the hem of his clothes.
Then pressing him onto the bed.
The shameful details made Wen Ran’s face flush red even now when he thought about it. Especially that final, lust-filled “Little Tabby Cat” he whispered—it made Wen Ran afraid to look directly at that word.
Looking at the bedsheet he had soiled, Wen Ran felt extremely depressed.
Others go through puberty, but he was already an adult; why was he still having wet dreams?
And the object was Jiang Yan!
It was enough that he was pressed by him once in reality, but even in dreams! And this broken dream was so… wildly imaginative based on reality.
Wen Ran was mortified. He pulled off the bedsheet and hurriedly hugged it, heading to the bathroom.
As luck would have it, he ran into Jiang Yan, who had just finished washing his face and came out.
Water droplets slid down his high nose bridge; his neck lines were smooth, and even his moving Adam’s apple looked extremely sexy.
Last night in the dream, he seemed to have hugged that neck and begged for kisses…
No, I can’t think about it!
Wen Ran’s ear tips turned red very disappointingly. He pretended not to see Jiang Yan and tried to pass by him. But accidentally, a card was flung out from inside the bedsheet.
Wrapped in plastic casing. Wen Ran recognized it at a glance—it was Wind’s signed card!
Anxious to pick it up, Jiang Yan beat him to it.
“Tsk, can’t tell that our little scoundrel is actually a rich man. Cards even fly out of your bedsheets.”
Wen Ran puffed up his cheeks and reached out: “Give it back to me!”
Jiang Yan was naturally familiar with his own handwriting. His slender fingers twirled the card as he deliberately asked, “You like Wind?”
“None of your business!”
“Tsk.” Jiang Yan’s tone was very mocking, sounding as if he was saying ‘How could you like this kind of person?’ “What do you like about him?”
“He’s already retired.”
“So what if he retired?” Wen Ran looked at Jiang Yan angrily like a little beast. “His mechanics are strong, his awareness and tactical layout are top-tier in the League, taking a Group B team to Group S and even winning the championship!”
“He’s tall too!”
“And he’s handsome!”
Jiang Yan listened to the praises with relish, but hearing this sentence out of the blue, he asked somewhat playfully, “Handsome? You’ve seen him?”
“No!” Wen Ran said righteously. “But true handsomeness can be seen even from low-resolution profile shots.”
“His eyes are very gentle.”
“Anyway, he’s definitely more handsome than you!”
Wen Ran looked at him with disdain. “You think everyone is like you, so punchable that people want to smack you with a shoe sole?”
Jiang Yan: “…”
This filter is definitely thicker than Zhao Dou’s glasses.
“Since you like him so much, I’ll tell you a secret.” Jiang Yan hooked his finger at Wen Ran, signaling him to come closer.
“What is it?”
Seeing his mysterious appearance, Wen Ran’s curiosity was piqued.
Jiang Yan leaned close to his ear and said word by word:
“Actually, I am Wind.”
After speaking, Jiang Yan looked at Wen Ran with a faint smile.
“How about it? Is this secret big enough?”
Wen Ran: “…”
Damn it, I’m speechless.
“Then I’ll tell you a secret too.”
Jiang Yan: “?”
Wen Ran mimicked his gesture, covering his mouth with one hand: “Actually, I am July.”
Jiang Yan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “I’m not joking.”
“Neither am I,” Wen Ran looked serious. “Did you forget? In the first game of the semi-finals, we even coordinated Top and Jungle to take First Blood.”
Jiang Yan: “…”
