Chapter 48: Moving In Together
Qin Huai, of course, didn’t let Duan Ke pull out the glass shards for him.
Under Duan Keās terrified gaze, Qin Huai used tweezers to clean them out himself, his hand not trembling in the slightest. Blood welled up incessantly; it looked frightening, making Duan Keās heart skip a beat.
Every time Qin Huai pulled out a shard, Duan Ke immediately applied healing magic to the wound, as if afraid Qin Huai would be in pain for even a second longer.
Qin Huai actually didn’t feel much; he had long since stopped feeling pain.
The little kittenās protective behavior was truly rare, tickling Qin Huaiās heart. As he worked, he couldn’t resist turning his head to kiss him.
Duan Keās emotions were still a bit chaotic. He responded perfunctorily, his eyes not even on Qin Huaiās face but fixed on the movements of his hand, terrified that the glass shards weren’t cleaned out properly.
Qin Huai paused, inexplicably starting to get jealous of his own wounds.
How could they steal all of Duan Keās attention?
He put down the tweezers and cupped Duan Keās chin with his uninjured hand. His high nose bridge rubbed against Duan Keās rounded, beautiful nose tip with a force that carried a hint of dissatisfactionārestrained, yet obvious.
“Baby, open up,” Qin Huai said faintly. “Let boyfriend kiss the inside.”
Duan Ke: ?
A big question mark popped up over his head; he simply couldn’t understand Qin Huaiās train of thought.
Facts proved that whether sitting on the bed or lying on it, as long as a bed was involved, Qin Huai went completely his own way, no different from being deaf to protests.
Duan Ke was kissed from a sitting position until he was lying down. His arms were gently pinned above his head by Qin Huai, his entire mouth occupied, unable to articulate a single word of rebuttal.
Duan Ke simply couldn’t handle him and could only heal him while kissing. It took nearly half an hour of dawdling to finish treating just a few wounds.
Duan Ke was truly baffled.
His boyfriend was simply too obsessed with kissingāobsessed to a degree that he, a succubus, couldn’t understand. The demand was excessively high.
Leaving aside certain timesāwhen they wouldn’t go a few minutes without kissingāevery time Duan Ke woke up, his tongue and lips were completely numb, yet Qin Huai would claim he wanted to comfort him, hold him, and lean in again.
But even normally, Qin Huai was overly enthusiastic about kissing. After brushing teeth together, they had to kiss for several minutes. Sometimes while just cuddling, he would start kissing regardless of the setting.
Even when they were grocery shopping together and happened to see orange-flavored gum, Qin Huai would use “suddenly wanting a taste” as an excuse to find a deserted corner and start kissing him, kissing him until Duan Ke walked out with weak legs.
Could it be that humans also have some hidden feeding method unknown to monsters that requires kissing to perform?
Otherwise, how could Qin Huai, a human, love kissing more than a succubus? This is turning the world upside down; itās not quite normal.
Duan Ke pondered groggily in the intervals between kisses, his response slowing down slightly, the tip of his small tongue starting to slack off.
After just a few short seconds, Qin Huaiās punishment followed. Duan Keās buttocks were slappedānot too lightly, not too heavilyāand the root of his tongue was pressed down hard. He couldn’t control the pitiful whimper that escaped him; the accumulated moisture overflowed from the corner of his lips and rolled into his collar.
Duan Ke weakly pinched Qin Huaiās firm arm, pleading for mercy. In the end, Duan Keās lips were nearly kissed numb, and he was struggling to breathe, patting Qin Huaiās solid back urgently before Qin Huai was willing to let him go.
Qin Huai released him slightly, pulling back a little distance, observing the marks he had left on Duan Ke with great pleasure.
Duan Ke took small gasps of air. Qin Huai held him and rolled onto the bed, one arm around his waist, secretly pondering how to warn Duan Ke about the monster coveting him just now without revealing his identity.
Before Qin Huai could speak, Duan Ke covered his mouth with a tense little face. His golden hair was a bit messy, and his face was flushed red from the kissing.
“Brother… a monster attacked you from the mirror just now, right?”
“That bad guy seems to have targeted me.” Duan Keās expression looked as ugly as if he had eaten spoiled leftovers, his delicate nose wrinkling slightly.
“That thing is my kin. He seems to want to replace me… You are my boyfriend now, so he followed the vine to find the melon and found you. He definitely wants to use you to threaten me!”
“Sorry, oh… I got you injured…”
Duan Ke extended his tail, using the little red tip to touch the wounds that no longer existed, even his succubus horns looking somewhat listless.
“But don’t worry, Brother! I’ve already found a way to fully understand this bad monster. I’ll take the initiative to attack soon. You don’t need to be afraid; I’ll solve it very quickly.”
Listening to Duan Keās words, Qin Huaiās expression shifted from relaxed to slightly subtle, realizing he had indeed been momentarily deceived by his boyfriend’s harmless appearance.
He thought Duan Ke knew nothing about this and simply assumed it was a monster attack. He didn’t expect him to sort out the logic so quickly.
“Baby is so amazing.”
Qin Huai praised him, unable to resist lowering his head to kiss him again. Having kissed enough for the day, Qin Huaiās voice was lazy and satisfied. “May I ask what your method is?”
The method is…?
Duan Ke suddenly felt guilty, his long tail swishing in a transparent attempt to cover up.
Getting the Bureau’s layout map and planning to raid the Archives at night… doesn’t seem like something good to tell my boyfriend.
Duan Ke swore he didn’t intend to do anything bad, just to take a peek at the data. But if this reached his boyfriend’s ears, it would inevitably make him look a bit badālike a succubus with wicked intentions.
Having just established trust not long ago, Duan Ke felt he needed to maintain his good image.
He hooked his tail around Qin Huaiās calf, turning his head away to hide his face, and vaguely made up a few excuses, avoiding the main point entirely.
Qin Huai naturally heard his perfunctory tone but didn’t pry. He kissed him a few times and considerately let the question slide.
It’s probably some method of handling things between monsters; it’s normal not to want to say it explicitly. Qin Huai thought, Anyway, I have Duan Keās location. I’ll know immediately wherever he goes. I won’t allow any unexpected situations to occur.
Duan Ke was intimate with Qin Huai for a while, then suddenly thought of something, his expression shifting from relaxed to distressed.
He opened his phone and started browsing nearby hotel information.
Holding him, Qin Huai saw the words on the phone.
It was a certain major brand of “Love Hotel.” All kinds of themed rooms were available. Costumes, propsāeverything was fully prepared. Any fetish could be satisfied here.
Qin Huaiās hand around Duan Keās waist paused, then tightened. Satisfied, he nuzzled Duan Keās sensitive nape with the bridge of his nose, causing a tremor to run through the boyās body.
“Does Baby want to play something different tonight?”
Although he didn’t know why Duan Ke suddenly got interested, Qin Huai was very willing to accept it all. He licked Duan Keās butterfly-like shoulder blade, his voice unhurried.
“If you want, I’ll book the room. You don’t need to…”
“Huh?” Duan Ke looked over with a face full of innocence.
“I meant to say, we might have to stay out tonight…”
Duan Ke pointed at the phone. “We definitely can’t stay in this rental apartment anymore. The Mirror Demon’s magic mark is here; he can find his way back anytime. It would be troublesome if he attacks in the middle of the night.”
“We can’t rent a new house tonight; there’s no time. We have to find a place to stay first.”
Duan Ke pointed at that Love Hotel. “This one has a great reputation, isn’t it good? I see a lot of positive reviews, saying it’s especially suitable for couples to experience together…”
Qin Huai looked helpless and pressed Duan Keās phone down.
“Baby, this hotel isn’t booked for sleeping…”
Pinching Duan Keās hand, Qin Huai educated him on what a “Love Hotel” was without changing his expression.
His language was naked and direct, yet his tone was very flat, no different from his usual way of speaking. As Duan Ke listened, his face suddenly grew hot. He felt like Qin Huai was a steady, open-minded parent explaining physiological knowledge to a child who had just hit puberty.
Duan Ke went from curious to blushing furiously, burying his face in the crook of Qin Huaiās neck in embarrassment.
But a succubus’s body was simply too disobedient.
Just because of Qin Huaiās calm, instructional words, Duan Keās body instinctively responded.
He had been fed almost into a conditioned reflex by Qin Huai over these past few days.
Qin Huai was amused by the poor little thing’s honest reaction and praised him gently, calling him a good boy twice.
Naturally, he was very willing to serve him. Qin Huai slowly untied the strings of Duan Keās pants, letting Duan Ke bite his shoulder, and began to move slowly with the rhythm that could bring Duan Ke the most comfort.
“If we need to change places… why not go to my house?”
Qin Huai was already very familiar with Duan Keās body. He had too many wicked ideas, deliberately picking the moment when Duan Keās willpower was weakest and his ability to distinguish right from wrong was lowest to guide him patiently.
He knew that when Duan Ke trembled lightly, he was close. At this moment, he would obediently agree to anything; it was cute as hell.
“The place where I stay now is a residence assigned by the company,” Qin Huai said slowly, “but my own property is in District C…”
“It’s not too far from your school either.”
“Why not terminate your lease tomorrow and move to my place?”
Biting Qin Huaiās shoulder, Duan Keās vision was blurring, yet he still tried hard to listen to his boyfriend.
His voice was incredibly sweet, carrying a hint of a sob.
“Mmh… l-live together? Is-isn’t that a bit fast…”
“Not fast. Baby might not know, but when humans date, the sooner they cohabit, the better the relationship.”
“Do you not want to live with me?” Qin Huaiās voice lowered. “I thought our relationship was very good, Duan Ke.”
How could Duan Ke be willing to let their relationship become bad? He wouldn’t be happy even if it was just talk. He pounced as if anxious, hugging the tall man in front of him.
Duan Ke held onto Qin Huai like a helpless kitten. “O-Okay, then we… we’ll live together starting tomorrow… Eek!“
Duan Keās voice softened completely after a tone-shifting whimper.
Qin Huai took his hand out from under the blanket and wiped it with a tissue. He picked up the kitten, who had already melted into liquid, laughed low, and walked out of the room.
“No need to wait. Let’s go over tonight.”
Qin Huai kissed the kitten in his arms who was almost asleep from exhaustion, his voice full of undisguised pleasure. “I want to see you the moment I open my eyes every day. I can’t wait.”
ć Author’s Note ć Cohabitation already? Good heavens [Pity] [Pity]. Babyās tummy probably won’t stay empty for long; as soon as it digests, new stuff gets put in… smells like the keeper from the inside out [Pity] [Pity].
