Part 2
Could it be that Lu Zhi couldn’t distinguish that his feelings were just ambiguous, hazy sentiments brought on by the disorder, and not love?
After so long, can’t he see my intentions?
Tang Xingye stared at the Alpha and suddenly spoke slowly, “I want it.”
Lu Zhi froze, then realized what Tang Xingye meant.
This was the vocabulary agreed upon during their transaction, functioning opposite to a safe word. When Tang Xingye said it, Lu Zhi had to satisfy his pathological needs. Although it was a unilateral unequal treaty, they had never used it.
“Baby, you haven’t burned your brain out, have you?” Lu Zhi’s voice was a bit hoarse. He reached out to measure his forehead temperature and held up a number. “What number is this?”
Tang Xingye: “……”
“I don’t have a fever.” Tang Xingye caught his hand and pressed it against his own gland. “Giving it or not?”
Lu Zhi’s eyes trembled, and his breathing suddenly became heavy.
Seeing the Alpha not moving, Tang Xingye’s eyes turned cold. He continued, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t accept. I won’t force you. The contract says it must be consensual. Even if we terminate, I won’t tell your secret.”
Tang Xingye let go of Lu Zhi’s hand, turned, and walked away. “Thank you for your concern. I think I will repay your care during this time in the future.”
“Don’t go.” Lu Zhi hugged Tang Xingye from behind, his nose almost pressing against his gland. His scorching breath made Tang Xingye tremble.
Lu Zhi rubbed against his neck, lowering his head to gently sniff the cold fragrance on Tang Xingye. “I feel like I’m dreaming. Pinch me, let me make sure this isn’t a hallucination.”
Tang Xingye sneered and backhandedly pinched Lu Zhi’s thigh. Lu Zhi grunted but laughed low, holding him tighter.
“Xingxing, be gentle.”
Restrained, Tang Xingye wanted to break free but was circled into the Alpha’s arms.
Occasionally, passersby stole glances at them. Tang Xingye felt a bit embarrassed and annoyed by the looks, saying exasperatedly, “Lu Zhi, let go quickly. Don’t force me to beat you.”
“Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you forever.” Lu Zhi kissed the ends of Tang Xingye’s hair, his voice low and hoarse. “If I go back on my word, my future will be mountains of knives and seas of fire, slaving for you, poor and miserable for a lifetime.”
Tang Xingye: “……”
Uh, there’s no need to swear such a vicious oath.
The dorm door was locked from the inside. Tang Xingye’s vision fell into darkness, and he vaguely felt something was wrong.
It was truly wondrous; the Tang Xingye of the future would never have imagined that one day he would be completely exposed with his roommate.
But the pheromones had already hooked out his desire. The cocoa scent wrapped around Tang Xingye completely. He liked sniffing high-level pheromones; it was very comfortable.
“Release more.”
In the darkness, the Alpha’s vision was excellent, able to see the scenery before him clearly.
The beautiful Beta’s cheek hairs were slightly wet, eyes covered in misty moisture, lips parted, exhaling soft, sweet breath.
Lu Zhi’s voice became sticky and tender. Holding Tang Xingye’s hand, he pressed it to his own face.
Darkness amplified Tang Xingye’s perception. He could feel the scorching gaze. He touched Lu Zhi’s shoulder; the muscles under his palm instantly tensed like a fully drawn bow.
Tracing up the tense muscle contours, gently as if confirming Lu Zhi’s presence, he touched his face. It was hotter than usual. “Are you in a rut again?”
“Mn. Baby, can I kiss you?”
Tang Xingye didn’t answer. His thumb rubbed over Lu Zhi’s lips, touching the petals. “Like this?”
The Beta always teased unintentionally, yet pulled at all the Alpha’s heartstrings, causing the Alpha to collapse and unable to maintain his original dignity.
“Baby.” Sticky desire surfaced in Lu Zhi’s eyes. “Not like that.”
Tang Xingye’s tone was cold and mean. “Your breathing is so heavy, like a dog.”
Having said the humiliating words, Tang Xingye waited for Lu Zhi’s anger.
Unexpectedly, Lu Zhi gave a soft “Woof.”
Tang Xingye: “……”
How did I forget Lu Zhi has no shame? Tang Xingye just liked to talk trash; he didn’t actually want to treat Lu Zhi like a dog.
Tang Xingye kicked Lu Zhi lightly. “When will you have some shame?”
The Alpha’s veins popped, fingers trembling violently.
Tang Xingye couldn’t see Lu Zhi’s expression, but the scorching breathing became more obvious, satisfying his little prankish thought. Suddenly, there was something in his hand—a stun baton.
“Baby, if you don’t like it, press it.”
Don’t like what? Before Tang Xingye could react, a scorching sensation came from his lips. He was held, tentatively, slowly licked, outlining the perimeter of his lips.
Startled, Tang Xingye subconsciously pressed the switch. Current crackled. Lu Zhi groaned but still didn’t let go.
“Baby, you can’t do this.” His voice was several degrees hoarser, carrying heavy breathing. “Starting a fire and not taking responsibility.”
Tang Xingye’s brain hadn’t started turning yet. Just as he turned off the switch, his jaw was gripped, his lips pried open, and accompanied by hot breath, a tongue intruded.
Caught off guard by the kiss, Tang Xingye’s eyes widened, but it was dark, and he couldn’t see the Alpha’s expression.
Don’t reject him. Don’t go find someone else.
He can satisfy him. He will do it very well.
Lu Zhi’s kiss was urgent and burning, like confirming his existence.
Tang Xingye’s mouth was licked all over. The wet, hot tongue stirred constantly, generating numbing electric currents.
Heat spread throughout his body, and his reason seemed to be stirred into a mess along with it.
Lu Zhi’s Adam’s apple rolled continuously, eating up all the fluid flowing from Tang Xingye.
The swallowed saliva carried a spark, burning reason to ashes. Lu Zhi sucked the sweet water in intoxication, sucking to the root of the tongue again and again.
His voice was vague and soaked in obsession. “Baby, you’re so sweet.”
So much water. So fragrant.
Tang Xingye was kissed dizzy, unable to breathe. A patch of bright red appeared at the corners of his eyes, and his lip line was rubbed blurred.
Sticky water sounds rang out constantly, intensifying the feeling of thick, wet heat.
Ruthlessly pounding Tang Xingye’s mouth, he couldn’t get enough no matter how much he kissed.
Lu Zhi slowly withdrew, pulling out his tongue. Their lips separated with a pop.
The mist in Tang Xingye’s eyes fluctuated. He opened his mouth, panting. His tongue tip was moist and bright red. Unswallowed saliva flowed from the corner of his lips. Lu Zhi ate those transparent fluids along with it, his expression unsatisfied.
Do Alphas in ruts all go into heat like dogs like this?
His tongue was sucked numb. Tang Xingye thought it was over, but unexpectedly, the Alpha held his tongue tip again.
He turned his head to dodge, but the other party chased relentlessly, sucking his lip flesh, mumbling incoherently, “Baby, hit me after we’re done.”
Tang Xingye couldn’t stand the endless kissing. Just as he opened his mouth, the other party ate along the seam of his lips again.
Waiting for a slight gap to breathe, Tang Xingye panted while glaring at Lu Zhi. Finally unable to bear it, he slapped him. “Said my mouth hurts…”
The slap wasn’t heavy. Lu Zhi was silent for a moment, his voice muffled. “Sorry, Baby.”
Tang Xingye couldn’t help scolding him, then kicked Lu Zhi. Lu Zhi pretended to be in pain and fell by Tang Xingye’s leg.
Lu Zhi looked up at Tang Xingye. “Baby, can’t you be nicer to me?”
Tang Xingye sneered. “You agreed readily back then, and now you think I’m not good?” Tang Xingye could switch partners; he had the pheromones Zhou Lin sent on hand, enough to last a while.
“Then you can leave…”
A grip came from his ankle. Tang Xingye looked down at Lu Zhi.
“Were you waiting for me to say this so you’d have an excuse to push me away?” Lu Zhi gazed at him and said seriously, “I like it all.”
“Your bad temper, your little schemes, the good and the bad—I like it all. So don’t say that kind of thing again. I don’t like it.”
“I am willing, and always have been.”
Lu Zhi knew Tang Xingye didn’t really hate Alphas; he just hated losing control, hated being calculated, hated being swept up by pheromones.
Tang Xingye looked at the light in his eyes. He knelt down, sandwiching Lu Zhi’s head.
He had been waiting for Lu Zhi to be like those people in the past—waiting for his cold attitude to make the other feel bored, waiting for Lu Zhi to get impatient, turn angry from embarrassment, and finally curse him for playing with his feelings.
Many people, after being rejected, said they could start as friends, that it didn’t matter if he flirted or dated others as long as they had a spot. In the end, none of them could do it; they became exasperated and unrecognizable.
Who knew Lu Zhi wasn’t that kind of person? Didn’t know whether to call him stupid or sincere.
Clearly seeing his intentions, yet playing dumb.
“Your pheromones are spilling out again.”
Tang Xingye flicked Lu Zhi’s gland with a bent finger.
“Baby, stop playing with me.” Obsession surfaced in Lu Zhi’s eyes again as he licked his canines. “I want to kiss.”
“Not allowed.” Tang Xingye’s fingers ran through Lu Zhi’s hair.
“Baby, I beg you, let me kiss.”
Lu Zhi was a man of action, following the legs all the way up.
“Say you’re a dog, and you really act like a dog.”
Lu Zhi’s lips were wet, eyes fanatic, staring intently at the gap. “Only Baby’s puppy.”
The presence of the gaze was too intense. Tang Xingye frowned slightly and grabbed Lu Zhi’s hair.
The other party grunted in pain but continued to kiss. Tang Xingye felt his whole body melting like cream, strands of comfort spreading. His phone vibrated; he turned to check the message.
It was from Lin Mo.
Probably about the sponsor inviting him to the enterprise to do a themed popular science lecture.
Lu Zhi was a bit dissatisfied that Tang Xingye’s attention was drawn away by someone else. The jealousy in his heart jumped again.
With a dangerous rasp in his voice, he asked, pretending not to care, “Who sent it?”
Tang Xingye glanced at it; Lin Mo’s name jumped on the screen. Just as he reached for it, Lu Zhi grabbed his wrist first.
“Lin Mo went to socialize for me,” Tang Xingye’s voice trembled a little. “Hoping to discuss the keynote speech plan with me.”
“Discuss it when he comes back.” Lu Zhi lightly bit the snow-white, delicate skin, his tone quite sarcastic. “How could a cold academic brain like Lin Mo suddenly want to help you? It’s weird. You have to be careful of him; maybe he wants to steal your results.”
Tang Xingye ignored Lu Zhi’s disparaging remarks. If Lin Mo could work for him like a beast of burden, he wouldn’t bear to let go.
“The project is very important to me.” Tang Xingye pried open Lu Zhi’s hand and patted his face. “Don’t talk. I’ll discuss a few details with him.”
Tang Xingye answered Lin Mo’s call.
“The sponsor asks if you can go next Wednesday?”
Just as Tang Xingye was about to speak, his movement froze.
“I can.” He barely steadied his voice, but the tail end trembled uncontrollably.
His center of gravity kept moving forward. Tang Xingye immediately gave Lu Zhi a kick.
Slender knuckles rubbed past Lu Zhi’s palm, slowly stroking up that long, well-proportioned calf. Lu Zhi’s eyes darkened suddenly, Adam’s apple rolling, breathing becoming uncontrollably heavy.
On the other end of the phone, Lin Mo’s voice paused slightly, carrying an imperceptible tension. “Your voice, why is it…”
Tang Xingye interrupted him. “It’s Qiuqiu.”
“Is that so?” Lin Mo’s voice was terrifyingly calm. “Need me to bring some dog food back?”
“No need.” Tang Xingye glared fiercely at the culprit. “He’s too clingy; he wants food as soon as I touch him.”
Lu Zhi’s breath sprayed, hot and wet. Tang Xingye could feel the vibrations of skin pressed tight against the other’s chest, sweaty skin sticking together.
“They mainly want a popular science lecture for employees. It needs depth, duration about an hour and a half.” Lin Mo relayed the sponsor’s words clearly, a hint of cold hardness in his business-like narration. “If you agree, prepare early.”
Lu Zhi stared at the phone screen for a moment, light dancing in his eyes. He began to kiss deliberately, constantly going deeper. His high nose bridge rose and fell with the movement, casting a shadow.
A vague “Mn” squeezed out of Tang Xingye’s throat.
“Tang Xingye.”
From the other end of the phone came the sound of paper being crumpled. Lin Mo’s voice suddenly turned cold as if quenched in ice.
