Disobedient? Forced Love in the Little Black Room—Don’t Even Think About Running, Baby Chapter 26

Chapter 26: I Renovated the Basement Just for You

Qin Wan had been sitting at the head of the bed, happily gnawing on an apple.

The apple in his hand lost its sweetness in an instant.

His movements and his expression both stiffened.

He lifted his eyes, his gaze somewhat timid.

He looked toward Gu Xinglan.

Today, the man was wearing a navy blue casual suit, tailored to perfection, accentuating his tall and upright figure flawlessly.

The soft overhead light cast a glow on him from above, creating a beautiful halo around his thick, flaxen hair which curled slightly.

His features were exquisite and three-dimensional, dazzlingly beautiful.

But the cold, ruthless aura he deliberately suppressed—yet which threatened to erupt at any moment—made Qin Wan’s heart sink uncontrollably.

“What, not even going to say hello?” Gu Xinglan’s lips twitched slightly, his eyes unreadable.

“Brother…” Qin Wan called out hurriedly, placing the apple in his hand onto the bedside table.

“Let’s go. We’re going home.” His voice sounded quite pleased.

Qin Wan, however, felt his scalp tingle.

Home?

That certainly wasn’t his home.

To him, Gu Xinglan’s home was nothing more than a super-luxurious cage.

Not just a cage, but a torture chamber.

Three days ago, Gu Xinglan had shown exceptional mercy, agreeing to wait until his injuries healed before carrying out the punishment.

So, going back with him today, who knew how he was going to torment him?

Qin Wan climbed off the hospital bed sluggishly.

Gu Xinglan walked slowly up to him.

One wore a suit, the other a hospital gown.

Gu Xinglan was half a head taller, his shoulders broader.

Standing together, his shadow and aura completely enveloped Qin Wan, suffocatingly tight.

It made Qin Wan feel extremely uncomfortable, almost breathless.

He didn’t dare look up, his small head hanging slightly.

Gu Xinglan reached out and gently hooked his chin.

“Qin Wan, your complexion looks good.” He stared at the boy’s handsome little face, seemingly in appreciation.

But Qin Wan distinctly felt that the look in his eyes was like a chef admiring his ingredients.

Pondering whether to pan-fry, stir-fry, or deep-fry them.

“Fully recovered?”

Qin Wan lowered his eyelids and let out a small voice: “Mn.”

He wanted to say he still felt unwell, but on second thought, he probably couldn’t trick him this time.

That Dean was sharper than a monkey; he had surely reported to Gu Xinglan already.

His physical condition couldn’t be hidden.

The pad of Gu Xinglan’s thumb slowly rubbed against his cherry-red lips.

He lowered his head close to Qin Wan’s ear. “Qin Wan, it’s been three days. Did you miss me?”

Qin Wan: …

What an ego!

So thick-skinned!

Miss you? Like hell!

He lifted his eyes, the corners of his mouth trembling as he forced a smile. “Brother, I… missed you…”

Gu Xinglan stared at his face and laughed.

“Qin Wan, your fake smile is so ugly.”

As he spoke, his fingers caressed Qin Wan’s cheek.

“I don’t like it.”

Qin Wan: …

His body trembled slightly.

“Brother, I’m sorry. I won’t do it again. From now on… only real smiles…”

Gu Xinglan gave a muffled hum.

“Mn, good boy.”

He handed over the shopping bag in his hand. “Change your clothes. We’re leaving.”

Qin Wan took the bag sluggishly, his brain still racing to find a way to stall for time.

Even a moment’s delay in going back was better than nothing.

Seeing him standing there in a daze, Gu Xinglan reached out and gathered him by the waist. “Want to change right here?”

Qin Wan’s small face instantly turned pale, and he turned and bolted into the bathroom.

“Qin Wan, if you take longer than five minutes, I’m coming in to help you change,” Gu Xinglan shouted toward the bathroom, his tone full of intimidation.

He knew Qin Wan’s little tricks; a shower could take an hour, and changing clothes could easily be dragged out for thirty minutes.

A somewhat helpless voice came from inside: “No need, no need! I’ll be quick!”

Five minutes later, Qin Wan came out, dressed and on time.

The outfit Gu Xinglan had prepared for him was casual wear.

Loose black wide-leg pants and a white T-shirt.

When Qin Wan walked out, Gu Xinglan watched, somewhat entranced.

Bearing a face that could captivate all living beings, yet still retaining a handsome, green, and youthful air.

And that gaze, so clear and translucent, as if one could see straight into his soul with a single glance.

It aroused an intense desire for possession.

However, Gu Xinglan knew clearly that Qin Wan’s inner self was not so easily glimpsed.

He was accustomed to deceiving people.

Only by tearing away his disguises layer by layer, forcing him to bow his head step by step, could he make him submit completely.

Gu Xinglan suddenly realized that the patience he usually lacked seemed to be entirely spent on Qin Wan.

And he never tired of it.

He reached out his hand to him again. “Come.”

Qin Wan shuffled over with small steps to Gu Xinglan’s side and handed him his hand.

Gu Xinglan grasped his small hand and led him outside.

Passing the bedside table, Qin Wan shoved the half-eaten apple into his pocket.

They went downstairs and got into the car. The luxury vehicle sped away into the thin twilight.

Qin Wan noticed that the car was weaving through the city center, not heading toward the foot of the mountain.

“Where… are we going?” he asked hesitantly.

Gu Xinglan gave an ambiguous answer: “Home.”

Qin Wan didn’t ask again, his head drooping.

Even if the destination was a mountain of knives or a sea of fire, he had no power to say no.

Driving the car, Gu Xinglan turned his head to glance at the person leaning against the window.

Listless, withered, and dispirited.

“Qin Wan, perk up.” Gu Xinglan’s tone was teasing. “Wait until we get back; you’re in for it.”

Qin Wan’s heart instantly seized.

“Brother, you… how are you going to punish me?” His voice was very low and shaky. “Are you really going to… break my legs?”

Gu Xinglan let out a muffled hum. “Perhaps I’ll use other methods. You’ll know soon enough.”

Qin Wan: …

Even more panicked!

He had a deep understanding of Gu Xinglan’s methods of torture.

If he didn’t say what he was going to do, the torment was even worse.

Qin Wan lowered his small head even further and fell silent again.

After a twenty-minute drive, the car stopped in front of a luxurious European-style villa.

Gu Xinglan led Qin Wan into the courtyard.

“Shengshi Daguan. I usually live here,” Gu Xinglan introduced briefly. “I only go to the mountain villa occasionally.”

Qin Wan didn’t make a sound.

Just the mention of that place made him feel bad.

He looked up at the luxurious and imposing villa in front of him and sighed secretly.

Isn’t this place just the same?

Gu Xinglan held Qin Wan’s hand and walked forward leisurely.

“I’ll show you around the environment,” he said.

His voice was pleasant; he seemed to be in a good mood.

The courtyard was spacious.

There were small sculptures, a fountain, and a goldfish pond.

“This building here is for daily living,” Gu Xinglan said, pointing forward. “That one over there is for office work and leisure.”

He pulled Qin Wan toward the three-story building in front.

“But right now, this place has an additional use.”

He gathered Qin Wan closer by the waist.

“I had someone build a ‘Reflection Room’ in the basement. In the future, when you make a mistake, we’ll come here, and I’ll help you reflect on your past errors, okay?”

Although Qin Wan didn’t know yet what kind of terrifying existence the “Reflection Room” in Gu Xinglan’s mouth was.

He instinctively felt it wasn’t a good place.

“Let’s go, take a look.”

Gu Xinglan’s tone remained relaxed, but Qin Wan’s mood grew increasingly tense.

He swallowed hard, half-embraced by Gu Xinglan, and walked into the hall.

On the right side of the hall was a flight of downward-leading black natural marble stairs.

Following the stairs down, they faced a double wrought-iron gate.

Seeing that cold iron gate, Qin Wan felt a wave of chill assault him.

He instinctively stopped, not wanting to go forward.

Gu Xinglan felt the person in his arms pause.

“What’s wrong? Don’t want to go in and see?”

“I renovated it specially for you; how can we not go in?”

As he spoke, he entered a string of numbers on the keypad lock on the door, and the gate slowly opened.

Qin Wan’s heart contracted violently.

Gu Xinglan felt his body tremble slightly.

He tightened his grip on Qin Wan’s waist. “Let’s go, let’s go inside.”

His voice wasn’t loud, but it left absolutely no room for rebuttal.

He leaned close to Qin Wan’s ear and whispered, “Don’t be afraid. You might frequent this place in the future; you’ll get used to it…”
