How Did the Promised Yandere Villain Become a Clingy, Obedient Dog? Chapter 42

Chapter 42: You Haven’t Kissed Me All Day

“They went out together.”

“Then I’ll go in and apply some medicine for you.” Cheng Ge took the set of clothes and walked straight into Wen Ling’s dorm, not noticing Wen Ling behind him, eyes shining as he sniffed the clothes.

The medicine chest was right on the table. Cheng Ge was very familiar with the arrangement of items inside. He took out the medicated oil and found some painkillers. “Do you want to take a painkiller?”

Wen Ling hugged the clothes and looked up. “No need, it doesn’t hurt that much.”

“Sit on the chair, I’ll apply the oil for you.”

“Oh.” Wen Ling tossed the clothes onto the bed, then sat down facing Cheng Ge.

Cheng Ge poured some medicated oil into his hand, lifted Wen Ling’s hair, and applied it to the bump.

He was already using very little force, but Wen Ling still kept frowning and squinting, looking like he was suffering greatly.

“Does it hurt that much?” Cheng Ge could only lighten his touch further.

“No, it doesn’t hurt,” Wen Ling blinked hard. “But it stings my eyes, and this oil smells bad.”

Cheng Ge: “…”

“Then close your eyes,” Cheng Ge said grumpily.

“No, I want to look at you.”

Cheng Ge paused his movements, poured out a bit more oil, and continued rubbing. He was bristling internally but pretended to be calm. “Look at what? What’s there to look at?”

“Because Cheng Ge looks very good at these times,” Wen Ling curved his eyes slightly. “I like it.”

Cheng Ge pondered. Which times did Wen Ling mean by “these times”? When he was serving him? Last time when he heated up food for Wen Ling in the kitchen, he also said he liked it.

See, the title “Little Emperor” didn’t wrong him at all; Wen Ling was just born to order him around.

Wen Ling liked Cheng Ge’s brows and eyes, and he liked it most when Cheng Ge’s serious eyes reflected his own silhouette. It felt like Cheng Ge’s eyes held only him, making him unique.

Cheng Ge deliberately avoided Wen Ling’s direct gaze. He rubbed it three times until his arm was sore. Thinking it was about enough, he told Wen Ling to hold his hair up himself and wait for the oil to dry.

As Cheng Ge lowered his head to screw on the cap, his cheek suddenly felt cool. A warm and soft object pressed against his face. Cheng Ge’s eyelashes fluttered several times, forgetting to react for a moment.

Seeing Cheng Ge a bit dazed, Wen Ling moved his lips to Cheng Ge’s lips and pecked them lightly. Lifting his eyelids to meet Cheng Ge’s wide-open eyes, he couldn’t help but laugh.

A sly laugh.

Cheng Ge pushed Wen Ling away. Afraid the person would fall, he didn’t dare use too much force. His tone carried a hint of exasperation born from being flustered. “What are you doing!?”

“There’s no one here now.” Wen Ling’s smile faded a bit because Cheng Ge had pushed him and was being fierce. “I really wanted to kiss you.”

“Besides, you haven’t kissed me or hugged me all day today.”

Cheng Ge’s brain was buzzing and a bit dizzy—because Wen Ling had bitten him during the kiss just now, because Wen Ling dumped the blame on him, because it was clearly only noon so where did “all day” come from, and also because of his chaotic heartbeat that was difficult to calm.

“I’m going to wash my hands.” Cheng Ge put the medicated oil on the table and panicked as he went to the balcony to wash his hands, washing his face while he was at it.

Cheng Ge thought, It must be because Wen Ling kissed me unexpectedly. It was too scary, otherwise, why would I panic?

Mn, I was just startled!

Cheng Ge took a few deep breaths. When he returned to the room, he had regained his calm. Without looking at Wen Ling, he packed up the medicine chest.

“Let’s go, go eat.” Saying that, he walked out the door.

“Oh.” Wen Ling caught up in a few steps.

After eating lunch in the cafeteria, the two returned to their respective dorms.

Cheng Ge had classes during the first and second periods of the afternoon, so he just rested on his desk for a while before carrying his backpack to the classroom.

Wen Ling’s classes were during the third and fourth periods. Returning to the dorm, he changed his clothes, climbed into bed, and put the clothes Cheng Ge gave him on the big bear.

Wen Ling squinted and buried himself in the big bear’s stomach, sniffing and rubbing. That feeling of emptiness and uneasiness finally faded a little.

He hugged the big bear with both hands, rested his head on the bear’s arm, closed his eyes, and took a long time to fall asleep.

Wen Ling woke up naturally before the afternoon alarm rang. He heard rustling sounds from below the bed and guessed that Ji Ji or Zhao Zhishen had gotten up and was getting dressed.

Since he had to get up anyway, he poked his head out and saw Zhao Zhishen holding a skewer of grilled gluten (KAO MIAN JIN) in front of Ji Ji. Zhao Zhishen whispered something; reading his lips, it seemed to be, “First bite for you.”

Wen Ling thought it must be because Zhao Zhishen ate Ji Ji’s fish ball yesterday, so he was apologizing.

Ji Ji didn’t stand on ceremony and grinningly bit off half of the grilled gluten. Zhao Zhishen took the opportunity to kiss Ji Ji and got glared at by Ji Ji.

Wen Ling turned his face away and couldn’t help blinking, thinking he probably didn’t see it wrong just now. He wasn’t surprised or anything, but knowing he shouldn’t appear in this situation, he shrank back, hugged the big bear, and lay down for a while longer.

Wen Ling lay in bed spacing out for a long time until he suddenly heard Ji Ji calling him in a voice slightly louder than a whisper.

“Mn?” Wen Ling sat up.

“Are you up? Class is about to start. Today’s class location is a bit far, and they might take attendance, so don’t be late.”

“Okay.”

“Then we’re leaving first.”

“Mn.”

The sound of the door closing rang out. Wen Ling got out of bed, went to the bathroom to change clothes, put on his backpack, locked the door, and walked toward the teaching building.

Wen Ling looked at the positioning software on his phone. Cheng Ge’s location was on a small path in the woods; he must have taken a shortcut. Wen Ling followed the direction of the positioning and entered the small woods as well.

As the two dots grew closer, Wen Ling involuntarily quickened his pace.

“Meow.”

Wen Ling heard a kitten’s cry. He looked up and saw Cheng Ge carrying a backpack, squatting by a rock teasing a cat.

The sun was setting. Golden light shone in obliquely, passing through the gaps in the leaves and landing unbiasedly on Cheng Ge and the kitten. Cheng Ge’s hair was illuminated to transparency, and his whole person looked warm and sunny.

Wen Ling seemed to see spring again—gentle, cozy, full of vitality. It was a tangible sense of reality existing in this world.

If I lock Cheng Ge up, then I won’t be able to see such scenery, Wen Ling suddenly thought.

Cheng Ge seemed to sense something and looked up. Because the light was directly facing him, he couldn’t see the distance clearly. Hazily seeing a familiar figure, he tentatively asked, “Wen Ling?”

Hearing Cheng Ge call him, Wen Ling jogged over.

Cheng Ge used his arm to brush aside Wen Ling’s hair, looked for a while, and muttered to himself, “Not swollen anymore.”

“You took the shortcut too?” Cheng Ge glanced at his watch again. Four minutes left until class. “Damn, cutting it close even with the shortcut.”

“You have to run, or you’ll definitely be late.” Cheng Ge finally concluded.

Unexpectedly, instead of hurrying, Wen Ling said to him, “I haven’t walked this path before.”

In other words, he didn’t know how to get to the teaching building from here.

“Then how did you get here!?” Cheng Ge felt this person was truly magical.

“I followed the positioning.” Wen Ling looked a bit happy and even showed Cheng Ge the positioning page on his phone.

Cheng Ge: “…”

Damn it, is this little lunatic actually proud of stalking???

He was wondering how Wen Ling knew this undeveloped path—he had exchanged 0.01 points with 001 for this!

But after all, Wen Ling hadn’t done anything heinous, and the stalking was done openly. Cheng Ge wasn’t that angry. Plus, at this moment, the law-abiding good student Cheng Ge was more worried about Wen Ling being late and getting a demerit.
