Chapter 8: Eagles Strike the Sky, Wolves Howl at the Moon
It was common knowledge on the Central Planet that Her Royal Highness the Princess had long since taken a fancy to them and intended to take them as her consorts. She had even graciously given them time to consider.
To everyone’s surprise, the two of them had not only resisted but had openly pursued an ordinary female without pheromones. This was a direct slight to royal dignity and would result in severe punishment!
To be unafraid even of that—they truly were the balliest brothers on the planet!
Su Miantang, having just toured the general landscape of the Central Planet from the sky, was brought back to the ground by Enzo to view it from a different perspective.
His goal seemed very clear. After running down from the foothills, he galloped southwest until they broke into a world filled with the scent of flowers and the song of birds.
“Is this the Star-Trail Garden?”
“It’s so massive… and so beautiful!”
After entering the garden, the world before her eyes seemed to switch instantly from futuristic technology to a Grimm’s Fairy Tale.
Pavilions and terraces were scattered everywhere, amidst rockeries and strange stones. Crystal-clear spring water trickled down from heights, and warbling orioles called to each other in the woods. Countless rare plants and exotic herbs emitted waves of enchanting fragrance.
As a breeze blew past, a rain of petals danced through the air, fluttering down upon them.
One person and one wolf walked among them.
“It’s a Jade Vine, like a string of water grapes!”
“The Flower of Hell, the Mandrake!”
“And Toad Lilies…”
Su Miantang was like a child full of curiosity, touching a flower one moment and sniffing a plant the next, incredibly excited.
Enzo knew she liked it, so he slowed his pace, allowing her to observe as she pleased.
For some reason…
He had been irritable and frustrated just moments ago because of his mother’s words, but now his mood was incredibly calm and pleasant. It was simply from seeing Tangtang’s smiling face, hearing her voice, and feeling her happiness.
This feeling was magical—it felt as if he would never need pheromones again in the future, as long as she was by his side.
The two wandered through the Star-Trail Garden from dusk until sunset. Once night fell, Enzo took her to a cliff with an excellent viewing angle to watch the stars and the moon.
Su Miantang stepped out of her excitement over the rare flora and began to seriously observe the beautiful snow wolf before her.
The more she looked, the more she liked him; the more she looked, the more she couldn’t control herself… what girl could refuse a big, snowy-white, fluffy “dog”?
“Can I… pet you?” she asked politely.
Hearing this, Enzo was overcome with shyness, nearly burying his head in his fur.
When he and his brother were educating her on the state of the nation, they felt she was still young and had deliberately avoided certain basic physiological common sense between males and females.
As a result, she didn’t know that a male’s beast form could only be touched and played with by his Female Master. It usually happened during flirting or intimate relations.
For her to ask him in such an innocent and pure tone was simply lethal.
Seeing his reaction, Su Miantang thought he was refusing. “You’re unwilling?”
No!
He was willing, extremely willing!
From the first moment he saw her on the Planet of Toxic Insects, he had decided in his heart that she would be his only Female Master in this life. It was just that… he had never experienced an intimate relationship before.
Somewhat nervously, he slowly moved his head closer to her.
Seeing this, Su Miantang immediately hugged him happily with both hands and began to “rua” him frantically. The snow-white fur was as thick and fluffy as expected; the outer layer was slightly firm, but the inside felt like sinking into soft cotton.
“It feels so good, so amazing!”
She couldn’t help but praise him, leaning her head over to rub against him vigorously.
The little female had no idea how ambiguous and bold her actions were, or how misleading her words were. The snow wolf being repeatedly “ravaged” under her clutches felt comfortable and refreshed; his heart was beating so hard it felt like it would pop out.
If he were in human form now, she would see that his skin was as red as if it had been roasted by fire, and his body was immobilized by physiological reactions.
Her hands were so soft, her body so fragrant, and her voice so pleasant to the ear. It made one’s imagination run wild, craving for more…
Just as he was immersed in it, squinting his eyes with enjoyment.
Su Miantang suddenly stopped. “I won’t play with you for free. I’ll pay!”
Enzo: “?” What did she take him for? He wasn’t that kind of male!
Oh no, he must have been so stimulated by his brother today that showing his true form made Tangtang misunderstand!
Then again, what kind of “cheap” male would show his beast form and seduce a female after only knowing her for a few days? Wasn’t it obvious he wanted to be played with for free?
He paced around in a fluster, even his tail drooping. Just as he was about to change back to human form to explain to Su Miantang, he saw her take a small transparent box from her pocket, filled with colorful little squares.
What is this?
His ears twitched slightly in confusion.
“Marshmallows.”
Marshmallows? What are those?
“Try one and you’ll know.”
Su Miantang took one out and tossed it into the air. Enzo caught it nimbly in one bite. As he chewed curiously, a look of incredible amazement burst into his eyes.
A howl of excitement even escaped his throat: “Awooo~”
It was simply too sweet, too soft, and too delicious!
“Hahahaha!”
Su Miantang was so amused by his reaction that she hit the ground laughing.
Realizing his lapse in poise, Enzo immediately covered his mouth with a paw.
How embarrassing…
This wasn’t the reaction a wolf should have; he looked exactly like a dog being rewarded by its master.
Su Miantang saw through his thoughts and reached out to rub his head. “It’s okay. This is a surprise I specially prepared for you. I’m glad you like it so much. And I think a wolf’s howl is super cool!”
Re-really?
She didn’t find it “chuunibyou” or cringey?
“Really. Can you stand on the cliff and howl at the moon, just like in the optical computer?”
In the past, she had only seen such cool pictures in books. Now that she had the chance to witness it with her own eyes, she didn’t want to miss it at all!
Enzo nodded, stepped out with his four limbs, and walked to the edge of the towering, steep cliff. He raised his beautiful head and let out a long, echoing howl toward the giant full moon in the sky.
The deep resonance penetrated the entire forest valley, causing countless pairs of ghostly green eyes to light up in the darkness as they peered at one another.
The wolves stood on the rocks and in the ravines, all looking up at their King.
At the same time, Fred, hearing his brother’s voice, quickly flew over.
He swept over the forest, stirring up a rapid cold wind and startling countless birds returning to their nests, who flapped their wings as if facing a great enemy.
Those beautiful golden wings nearly obscured half the moon, shimmering with an enchanting luster under the cold light.
Eagles strike the sky, wolves howl at the moon. In this pitch-black night, the vast and magnificent wilderness looked like a masterpiece of divine craftsmanship—utterly shocking!
Su Miantang had never seen such an extraordinary scene. She quickly opened her optical computer to record it.
Finally, she knew why Colonel Fred and Major Enzo were called the Imperial Twin Stars. This was way too cool!
Fred found Enzo and intended to give him a good lesson, but then he saw Su Miantang taking photos.
Under the moonlight, the little female’s eyes were glowing, and her smile was as bright as a flower. She was unbelievably beautiful. He instantly forgot everything else and obediently cooperated with her.
“Yes, turn a bit to the side! Wings lower!”
“Enzo, change your pose, another one!”
“Good boy! Wait, let me take a three-person selfie!”
