They didn’t return to school but went directly to a nearby hotel.

Gu Huaiye’s nose stung with emotion. He sat on the edge of the bed and gently stroked Xie Miaohan’s hair.
“It’s not a dream. It’s real.” Gu Huaiye pinched Xie Miaohan’s cheek and smiled faintly. “Does it hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt.” Xie Miaohan shook his head. “You can slap me.”
Gu Huaiye almost lost his composure. He couldn’t really bully a sick person. Besides, he had long suspected this guy had some masochistic tendencies, always asking to be hit.
“It really isn’t a dream.” Gu Huaiye leaned in and kissed Xie Miaohan gently on the lips. “Do you feel it? This is real.”
Xie Miaohan finally let go of him.
