Part 2
“Did you want to use me?” Duan Ke questioned. “Did you want to use my ability to help the Bureau do something?”
This was truly an injustice; Qin Huai really didn’t.
Qin Huai’s buried part ached terribly; Duan Ke was biting too tight, almost forcing him out.
Qin Huai took several seconds to recover before continuing to move.
“Half was to tease you, half was fear that you’d hate me.”
Qin Huai asked himself; saying he wasn’t afraid was a lie.
Duan Ke had mentioned repeatedly that he hated the Inquisitor the most, didn’t like him. At first, Qin Huai just felt a bit stifled hearing it, but later he felt more and more guilty the more he heard, feeling terribly remorseful, feeling he hadn’t done well, and didn’t dare confess.
“Baby, why do you hate me so much? Can you tell me?”
“Three years ago at the Bureau, didn’t I help you?” Qin Huai said, his eyes holding a hint of resentment. “I thought killing the monster bullying you in front of you counted as a hero saving the beauty.”
Instead, the little guy thought he was a perverted monster killer and remembered it for so many years.
“…”
Duan Ke reached out to scratch his sweaty cheek, not knowing where to start, silently organizing his language.
Qin Huai looked down at him, not rushing, waiting quietly.
Tonight wasn’t intense; the blush on Duan Ke’s face was just right. Qin Huai lay on top of him; occasionally, a drop or two of sweat slid from Qin Huai’s neatly trimmed temple, falling onto Duan Ke’s chest, white as a block of tofu.
Qin Huai’s eyes darkened, wanting to lower his head to lick and kiss, but Duan Ke resisted his forehead.
“Don’t interrupt me… I’m thinking.” Duan Ke said anxiously, pressing against the face Qin Huai leaned in. “No kissing either!”
Relying on his good kissing skills, Qin Huai always interrupted Duan Ke’s train of thought with kisses.
Duan Ke’s brain was already a bit slow; once kissed, he often forgot what he wanted to say, and in the end, the two would end up in bed again.
“Then no kissing for now.” Qin Huai held Duan Ke, lifting him up a bit.
“Baby, want to sit on top?” Qin Huai’s voice was very hoarse. “That way looks more dignified, more like an interrogation… Sir.”
Qin Huai called him “Sir” several times, making Duan Ke’s tail perk up. But Duan Ke wasn’t persuaded and rejected the proposal.
“No, didn’t we try just now? So tired, I don’t want to work.”
Duan Ke commanded, “You have to serve the officer well, no personal opinions allowed… hmph hmph hmph.”
“Alright, Sir.”
Qin Huai regretted it, burying his head to serve. He knew Duan Ke’s preferences better than Duan Ke himself and soon served the officer until he was dizzy, only knowing to hold onto his neck.
Duan Ke organized his words, but his voice was all soft.
“I don’t understand why you’re so cruel to monsters…”
“You killed that monster without even interrogating it carefully… and many others too. You killed over four hundred monsters in a day before; were they all very bad?”
“Based on what do you judge them?” Duan Ke pinched Qin Huai’s finger. “Is it based on mood? Killing monsters casually when in a bad mood, or just seeing a hint of trouble… I think that’s not good; I don’t like it.”
Qin Huai listened quietly, gently gathering Duan Ke’s hand into his palm.
He patted Duan Ke’s lower back lightly, signaling him to sit up. Sitting face to face, Qin Huai leaned forward to hug him, letting Duan Ke bury his face in his collarbone.
“Baby, not all monsters are as good as you.”
Qin Huai considered for a few seconds, choosing his words. “Most monsters are actually very… mn, lacking reason. They are products of evil thoughts and will attack humans indiscriminately.”
“Even those with intelligence are very unsafe. The one chasing you a few years ago was conscious, right? But its aggression was very strong, whether towards humans or other monsters.”
Qin Huai made a lot of sense, but Duan Ke still had reservations.
“The monsters around me are all very nice.” Duan Ke counted on his fingers. “Hele, Xu Jue, they are all very good. I’ve been transformed for a long time and rarely see monsters that are purely evil thoughts… everyone treats me very well.”
“That’s because Baby is very good, so the people around you are also very good.”
Qin Huai smiled and kissed him. “Last time you got drunk, I went to pick you up; it was full of succubi there. Did I do anything bad to them?”
…Seems he really didn’t.
Duan Ke realized he might have misunderstood some things and felt belatedly embarrassed. He reached out to scrape the tip of his nose, turning his blushing face away, but Qin Huai turned his chin back to kiss him.
“It’s normal not to believe… Baby can observe slowly, accept me slowly.”
Qin Huai’s voice became a bit muffled due to the kiss. “You can come to the Bureau anytime to watch my work. Come a few times, observe more… maybe you’ll change your mind.”
“Really… can I go anytime?”
“Very welcome.” Qin Huai licked his lip. “Best if you come to my office to find me every day. My office is very big.”
Why emphasize the office is big?
Duan Ke didn’t understand but didn’t ask more. He hummed twice, turning his head not to look at Qin Huai.
“Reluctantly accept your explanation… pending observation.” Duan Ke said awkwardly, “But three years ago when you killed that B-class monster, you scared me! Still very detestable. Don’t like you.”
Qin Huai knew Duan Ke was pouting, not truly angry.
But he still recalled that night three years ago when Duan Ke broke into the Bureau. The weak succubus was trembling with fear, not daring to lift his head, fragile as if he would faint on the floor the next second.
“At that time, it was very hard, wasn’t it.”
Qin Huai asked without warning, his voice a bit muffled.
Duan Ke didn’t expect him to ask this. The little guy didn’t want to make the atmosphere so heavy, answering in a casual tone as if he didn’t care at all.
“It was okay. Just went hungry occasionally. Later I went to A University, didn’t get bullied anymore, and had a place to live.”
The lighter Duan Ke’s tone, the more Qin Huai’s heart ached for the suffering he endured. A dense pain filled Qin Huai’s chest; he pulled Duan Ke into his arms, forehead resting lightly against his shoulder.
“If I knew it was you back then… I definitely would have taken you home.”
“I’m sorry… I love you.”
Duan Ke felt a coolness on his shoulder, like a fleeting mist. He hurriedly tried to lift Qin Huai’s head, but Qin Huai wouldn’t let him, making Duan Ke want to cry too. He could only endure the sourness, lowering his head to kiss the back of Qin Huai’s scarred neck.
Duan Ke had heard Qin Huai confess his love many times, but none were heavier than this. He thought, we won’t be separated again.
Just as they were being affectionate, Qin Huai felt mischievous again.
He lifted his waist, biting Duan Ke’s ear, and thrust hard, smashing the sentimental atmosphere to pieces.
Duan Ke lost all mood for sadness, clutching his stomach and gasping, “What are you doing…”
“Just got back together, don’t make it so sad… Wife.”
Qin Huai pressed against Duan Ke’s ear, intentionally breathing audibly. “Like me dressing like this? Being the Inquisitor’s boyfriend, isn’t it exciting… hmm?”
“So excited, Baby… so fast.”
“Still want to play with the handcuffs? It’ll be very immersive…”
Duan Ke stared at the ceiling with unfocused eyes, his whole body numb. He had miscalculated; he had actually softened his heart just now and almost cried because of him.
The Inquisitor is simply a big jerk! The unrepentant kind!
“Is this okay?”
Qin Huai massaged Duan Ke’s waist according to his request.
Duan Ke lay on Qin Huai’s pillow, kneading the innocent pillow into a flat circle. He wagged his tail, using it instead of a hand to direct the person behind him.
“About right… a bit over here, lighter… a bit to the right.”
Duan Ke mumbled and grumbled, his tone full of dissatisfaction.
Qin Huai knew him too well. Saying a bit to the right was the truth. But asking Qin Huai to be lighter was pure difficultness; Qin Huai was already being very gentle, using the perfect amount of force.
Qin Huai sighed silently, corners of his lips hooking up, strictly obeying the officer’s request.
After massaging for nearly thirty minutes, Duan Ke was finally satisfied. He extended his tail, pressing it on the back of Qin Huai’s neck, pulling him down.
Qin Huai lay down obligingly.
“Will you be obedient from now on?” Duan Ke said fiercely, the tip of his tail poking Qin Huai’s Adam’s apple. “If you don’t listen, I’ll kill you.”
“Listen. I’ll listen to everything you say…”
Qin Huai pressed Duan Ke into his arms, lowering his head to beg for a kiss.
His words were extremely submissive, but his eyes were full of insatiability. The fierce beast wasn’t tamed, merely temporarily ceding control.
Qin Huai’s innate aggressiveness wouldn’t disappear because of Duan Ke’s threats. The kid was soon kissed into submission, hugging Qin Huai’s muscular waist, nestling in the blanket drowsily.
“Wait… I haven’t taken pictures yet.”
Qin Huai didn’t know what he wanted to photograph but let him go. Duan Ke fought his heavy eyelids to crawl out of bed, fumbling on the nightstand, putting the cap on his head, and starting to take selfies.
He took many photos, as if he couldn’t get enough. Qin Huai watched him with amusement, getting up to pull Duan Ke into his arms, adjusting the angle of the cap for him.
“The Bureau has many styles, different colors too,” Qin Huai said. “If you like, I’ll wear them for you one by one.”
This condition was very tempting; Duan Ke’s eyes lit up. “When will you wear them?”
Little lecher, not even pretending anymore.
Qin Huai smiled, pinching Duan Ke’s cheek. He promised to wear them tomorrow, reaching out to pull the person into his arms, lying down with Duan Ke.
Duan Ke was very sleepy, about to fall asleep. Qin Huai reached out, preparing to turn off the light.
Duan Ke suddenly pressed down on his hand. “Wait a minute.”
“What’s wrong?”
The little guy looked serious, slapping Qin Huai’s hand encircling his lower back, signaling him to remove it.
“What is it?” Qin Huai raised an eyebrow. “Want me to carry you to…” the bathroom?
Qin Huai couldn’t finish the last few words.
A dull pain struck Qin Huai’s waist and abdomen. Completely off guard, his body went airborne, crashing straight onto the carpet.
Qin Huai clutched his side, sitting up with a complex expression, his face blank for the first time ever.
“Wife, you…”
“I didn’t say I completely forgave you.” Duan Ke interrupted him.
“There are many rooms upstairs; pick one yourself.” Duan Ke turned over, showing his back, pulling the quilt up. “You are not allowed to sleep with me tonight, In-quis-i-tor.”
