MY OMEGA IS A SWEET LITTLE BEAN CHAPTER 49

Chapter 049: Picking Him Up Personally

Growing up, Su Tang had always been a law-abiding good child; he hadn’t even violated class rules or school regulations.

Being suddenly stopped by the traffic police, he was in a state of anxiety—not knowing what had happened but ready to honestly await the police officer’s judgment.

The traffic officer held a small notebook in his hand and looked at him doubtfully.

“Is this electric scooter yours? Show me your ID.”

Su Tang nodded obediently. He didn’t know what the situation was, so he could only take out the non-motorized vehicle license and his own ID card from his wallet and hand them to the officer.

After all, he had been on the hot search. Su Tang glanced at the officer carefully several times, afraid the police would recognize who he was.

The officer gave a grunt of acknowledgement, seriously checking the vehicle information against the license and ID. Seeing Su Tang’s age, he figured he should still be a university student. When he looked up, he saw those innocent, wet eyes looking at him timidly from time to time, and he smiled somewhat helplessly.

He returned the documents to Su Tang, took out his small notebook, and began writing a ticket. As he wrote, he asked:

“Student, do you know why I asked you to stop?”

Su Tang lowered his head and shook it silently. Afraid the officer would think he had a bad attitude, he slowly looked up again, staring earnestly into the traffic officer’s eyes, filled with a thirst for knowledge.

He hadn’t run a red light on the way, nor had he failed to yield to pedestrians. He truly didn’t know what offense he had committed.

Sigh, this young man’s looks are just foul play.

The traffic officer’s heart nearly melted from being stared at by Su Tang’s beautiful and aggrieved little face. His originally strictly business tone softened.

“Items placed on an electric scooter cannot extend more than 15 centimeters beyond the front of the vehicle, otherwise it will affect vehicles driving next to you. If things fall, it’s even more dangerous. Look for yourself, isn’t that pile of stuff on the front of your bike sticking out?”

Ah, so that’s it.

The officer’s words brought Su Tang to a sudden realization. He turned to look at the large pile of shopping bags hanging on the front of the scooter; because there was too much stuff, several bags were already dangling off the sides.

Thinking of the serious consequences the officer mentioned, Su Tang immediately blushed with shame. He quickly bowed and apologized to the officer, stating he understood and wouldn’t dare do it again.

The traffic officer slapped the fine ticket into Su Tang’s hand, smiling grumpily as he quipped, “What, you still want there to be a next time?”

“No, no, no, I don’t want that,” Su Tang shook his head like a rattle drum, raising his hand to swear to the officer. “Brother, I promise there absolutely won’t be a next time!”

He didn’t know about this rule before, but now that he knew, he certainly wouldn’t violate it again.

Moreover, seeing the officer’s demeanor, he clearly didn’t know who Su Tang was, merely treating him as an ordinary student who violated traffic rules.

The little guy’s solemn vow amused the officer greatly. “Alright, push your bike and come over with me to pay the fine, and write a self-reflection while you’re at it before you go back.”

“Ah… I have to write a self-reflection…”

Su Tang pushed the bike with a mournful face, following the police officer to the duty booth, mentally beating up his law-breaking self a hundred times.

Hearing he had to write a self-reflection, Su Tang felt even more humiliated. He hadn’t written a self-reflection in his entire life!

Besides, he was already half-stepped into society, yet the day had come where he was stopped by traffic police to write a reflection!

The officer took Su Tang back to the duty booth, pointing to a small table and stool placed nearby. He waved at Su Tang. “Sit here. I’ll go inside to get you paper, a pen, and the QR code.”

“Okay.”

Su Tang sat obediently on the small stool in the cold wind, honestly waiting for the officer to go in and get the items. In the interval, he checked his phone and found Ye Xiansheng asking where he was. Su Tang honestly typed a line and sent it.

[Ye Xiansheng, I’m at the traffic police booth on Zhengyang Road. I got caught boohoohoo /loud crying]

He just wanted to explain why he was caught, but before he could finish typing, the phone screen suddenly went black—automatic shutdown due to low battery.

“……”

Su Tang stared at the suddenly black screen and rolled his eyes skyward in utter speechlessness, which happened to be seen by the officer coming out with the QR code.

“Yo, look at that eye roll. Having feelings about my punishment?”

“No, no!”

Su Tang shook his head again, holding up the dead phone in front of the officer.

“Brother, my phone died. Can I charge it here?” Seeming afraid the officer wouldn’t agree, he awkwardly added, “Um, I don’t have cash on me. To pay the fine might be, cough cough…”

The officer was a straightforward person; he directly took Su Tang’s phone and went inside to find him a charger. Su Tang thanked him repeatedly, uncapped the pen, and began to conceive how to write the self-reflection.

The self-reflection itself wasn’t hard; the main thing was Su Tang had no experience writing one, and this thing had to be at least five hundred words.

“Sigh…”

Su Tang sighed, unable to think too much about it. Blowing in the cold wind, he lay on the table, scratching his ears and cheeks as he wrote the reflection.

In the blink of an eye, more than ten minutes passed. Su Tang wrote about his mistake of violating traffic rules, expressed deep introspection, and even extended it to his sense of social responsibility, finally scraping together five hundred words.

He signed his name in the reviewer column at the end, stood up, and handed the reflection to the officer.

The officer glanced roughly at the content of the reflection and nodded. “Okay. After ten minutes your phone should have enough power to turn on. Pay the fine and go home. It’s freezing out here; a kid like you sitting outside is suffering enough.”

Getting his phone back, Su Tang thanked the officer while turning it on. As soon as the screen lit up, he saw many missed calls from Ye Xiansheng, which startled him.

Oh no, Ye Xiansheng must have seen me say I was caught and got worried.

Su Tang was secretly annoyed with himself. He scanned the QR code to pay the fine and walked out, preparing to call the Alpha back, when a familiar black Passat slammed on the brakes and stopped right in front of him.

Su Tang watched dumbfounded as his Alpha rushed out of the car with an anxious face, hugging him tightly without saying a word.

“Tangtang…”

Ye Chiyu’s voice carried an imperceptible tremor. He smelled the familiar scent on Su Tang and looked him over from head to toe. Only then did his suspended heart finally settle, letting out a sigh of relief.

Thank goodness, thank goodness his Tangtang is okay.

After seeing Su Tang say he was caught and then not being able to get through on the phone, he almost went crazy, terrified that his Omega needed his help or had been wronged by someone.

Fortunately, Su Tang had mentioned his location in WeChat. Ye Chiyu, with a dark face, called Qi Yuan and sped over, skipping work.

“Ye Xiansheng, why did you come?”

Su Tang threw himself back into his Alpha’s arms with a smile, his two hands tightly encircling the Alpha’s waist, his heart very happy.

Being caught by the traffic police to write a reflection without any preparation, it would be a lie if Su Tang said he wasn’t panicked. deep down, he desperately longed for someone to come save him.

And then his Ye Xiansheng, like a god, appeared in front of him the very first second he walked out of the police booth.

“Silly, of course I was worried about you.”

Ye Chiyu smiled, holding his Omega even tighter. He nodded at the officer watching them from the booth entrance as a greeting.

“Ye Xiansheng, you finally came to save me. Just now, just now I was actually really scared in my heart…”

Speaking in Ye Chiyu’s arms, Su Tang felt like crying. It wasn’t actually a big deal, but in the warm embrace of the Alpha he had grown accustomed to relying on, his heart became fragile.

The Alpha’s voice was outrageously gentle, patiently comforting his little Omega: “I’m sorry, I came late. If I had arrived a little earlier, would Tangtang have been less scared?”

He didn’t mention his own inner worry and fear upon seeing Su Tang’s message. His little Omega needed him more than he imagined, relied on him more—that was enough.

“Ye Xiansheng, it’s very good that you came. I am very happy.”

Su Tang responded quietly to his Alpha, his fuzzy little head arching in the Alpha’s arms like he was acting spoiled.

The young couple hugged like that as if no one else was around. Qi Yuan, almost full from the dog food, got out of the car to understand the situation with the traffic police. By the time he finished chatting with the officer, the two hugging people finally separated reluctantly.

“President, everything is settled here. It’s so cold outside now, you should let the Madam go home quickly,” Qi Yuan spoke up.

The traffic officer, having witnessed a face-full of public affection, looked at the extremely matching couple standing before him and waved his hand.

“You’re his Alpha, right? The young lad just wrote a self-reflection, nothing serious. Look at you all anxious. Hurry and take him back in this freezing weather.”

Ye Chiyu gave a hum of acknowledgment, lowered his head, and said something to Su Tang.

Then Qi Yuan watched his Madam take a set of keys out of his bag and, under the President’s signaled gaze, walk up to him and place them in his hand.

Ye Chiyu glanced at him lightly, his voice devoid of emotion as he spoke flatly: “It’s cold. I’m taking him back first. You are responsible for riding his electric scooter home and carrying the stuff upstairs.”

After speaking, Ye Chiyu reached out and asked Qi Yuan for the car keys. Ignoring the expression on Qi Yuan’s face, he held his little Omega’s hand, and the two of them went straight back to Jiang Ting without looking back.

The traffic officer patted Qi Yuan on the shoulder consolingly. “Brother, if nothing else, your boss is really good to his wife.”

Qi Yuan looked silently at the electric scooter key in his hand. After a long while, he replied, “Yeah.”

In the end, I am unworthy.

Assistant Qi, tall, long-legged, and dressed in a suit and leather shoes, sat somewhat tragically on his Madam’s Little White, driving toward the direction of Jiang Ting under the traffic officer’s amused gaze.

The winter wind is truly cold, the boss’s heart is truly cruel.
