Chapter 155: I Feel the Same Way

Gu Huaiye could sense Xie Miaohan’s unusual excitement. In the end, he was exhausted to the point of collapse and fell asleep directly.

When he woke up in the morning, he saw Xie Miaohan was still awake, lying on his side, staring straight at him.

Gu Huaiye frowned. “Did you sleep last night?”

“Slept for an hour.”

“Only an hour?!” Gu Huaiye exclaimed. “Aren’t you tired?”

Xie Miaohan leaned in and kissed his cheek. “I can catch up on sleep after you go to school.”

In reality, he hadn’t slept all night.

Later on, he did feel sleepy, but he couldn’t bear to close his eyes, terrified that if he slept, Gu Huaiye would disappear when he woke up. He forced himself to stay awake until dawn.

“You can’t stay up all night like that.” Gu Huaiye glared at Xie Miaohan grumpily. “I’m going to take a shower. You hurry up and rest.”

Xie Miaohan grabbed Gu Huaiye’s arm. “I want to have breakfast with you. I’ll sleep after eating.”

Xie Miaohan’s body trembled. He looked up at Gu Huaiye and said with no temper, “You’re over twenty; why are you still so childish?”

Gu Huaiye gave a cheeky laugh and leaned in to kiss Xie Miaohan’s face.

“Why did you suddenly take up flower arranging? Is it fun?”

“It’s quite interesting. It helps me calm down.”

That way, he wouldn’t feel constantly anxious about Gu Huaiye leaving.

Gu Huaiye sat down beside him, staring at the brilliant flowers.

“Miaomiao, shall we plant wisteria in the courtyard?”

Xie Miaohan looked at Gu Huaiye in astonishment. “Didn’t you dislike wisteria?”

Every time he tried to give wisteria to Gu Huaiye, it was ruthlessly thrown on the ground.

He thought Gu Huaiye hated wisteria from the bottom of his heart, so he hadn’t mentioned it in this life.

“I like it now.” Gu Huaiye said, “No, I should say I liked it long ago; I just didn’t realize it myself.”

Gu Huaiye interrupted him. “Persistent, deep love.”

Xie Miaohan froze, his voice trembling slightly. “How did you know?”

“I looked it up.” Gu Huaiye held Xie Miaohan’s hand, his gaze earnest. “I feel the same way about you.”

“Okay.” Xie Miaohan gripped Gu Huaiye’s hand tightly. “Let’s do it together.”

Two days later, before Gu Huaiye left for school, he said to Xie Miaohan who was seeing him off, “Miaomiao, is there anywhere you want to go?”

Xie Miaohan anxiously grabbed Gu Huaiye’s arm. “You’re sending me away?”

Gu Huaiye stroked Xie Miaohan’s cheek helplessly. “What nonsense are you talking about? I want to take you out to play.”

Xie Miaohan breathed a sigh of relief and slowly shook his head.

“I don’t have anywhere I want to go.”

“Think about it carefully. I’ll ask you again when I come back tonight.”

Gu Huaiye finished his exams today, so he wouldn’t need to go to school anymore. Winter break started immediately, so he could spend proper time with Xie Miaohan.

After Gu Huaiye left, Xie Miaohan returned to his room and put the secretly hidden pills into the drawer.

Closing the drawer, Xie Miaohan planned to catch up on sleep.

That way, he wouldn’t be sleepy at night and would have plenty of time to be with Gu Huaiye.

Xie Miaohan tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, staring at the ceiling.

Suddenly, he noticed a flashing red dot.

It was very small, and the light was faint, almost invisible to the naked eye.

Xie Miaohan had been a Commander and had seen plenty of high-tech products. He knew deeply that this was an expensive surveillance camera.

He was actually being monitored in his every move.
