Part 2
Tang Xingye’s gaze was on the exquisite exhibit, observing the spots on the surface while mentally dismantling its composition. He answered casually, “Him? He’s not my friend. He’s my husband.”
Huo Zhe’s expression cracked in an instant. He gripped the hem of Tang Xingye’s clothes, suppressing his heartbreak, his tone unable to hide the shock. “You already have a husband?”
Tang Xingye gave a vague “Mhm.” He knew Huo Zhe’s thoughts. Lu Zhi wasn’t on the annual meeting list, so he was perfect to use as a shield to thoroughly cut off this junior’s hopes.
Huo Zhe thought Tang Xingye had always been single and that he would have a chance to pursue him once he got to university. He didn’t expect Tang Xingye to be married. His face was full of disbelief, his voice dry like bubbles fizzing from a freshly opened soda can. “Then… then what about that Alpha yesterday? The one with you…” He barely dared to ask further.
Tang Xingye’s thoughts were still immersed in structural deconstruction. With no filter on his mouth, he continued to talk nonsense. “Oh, he’s my boyfriend.”
Huo Zhe: !!!
“You, you guys…” Huo Zhe’s eyes widened, his face turning pale then red, logic completely in chaos. He grabbed Tang Xingye’s wrist, desperate for confirmation. “Then the three of you came out of the hotel together…”
Tang Xingye was still deconstructing in his brain, only feeling that this junior had too many questions. To dismiss him completely, he dropped a bombshell in a matter-of-fact tone: “I like the thrill.”
Huo Zhe: “…”
He was rendered completely speechless, standing frozen as if struck by lightning.
Tang Xingye finished dismantling the exhibit with satisfaction. Withdrawing his divided attention, he realized what he had just said.
Huo Zhe lowered his head deeply, silent, staring at his toes. He seemed heartbroken, his world-weary brows filled with disappointment, looking like he was about to cry.
Tang Xingye always had a bit more patience for Omegas. A trace of intolerance passed through him, and he hesitated whether to comfort him with a few words.
Just as he was organizing his language, Huo Zhe seemed to make up his mind and suddenly raised his head.
Huo Zhe leaned close to Tang Xingye’s ear, speaking in a suppressed and urgent breathy voice, carrying a damp and crazy probing tone:
“Then Senior… would you consider… cheating with me?”
“I’m younger than both of them… behind their backs, if we do it secretly… isn’t it more exciting?”
Tang Xingye: “…”
How could he forget that Huo Zhe’s brain circuitry was no less twisted than Lin Mo’s?
The annual meeting ended, and they were preparing to return. Tang Xingye had just taken out his suitcase when Lu Zhi and Lin Mo immediately crowded around, invisible smoke of war filling the air again.
Lu Zhi grabbed the handle. “I wash his clothes; I’m more familiar with how to pack.”
“Since you do it usually, I should share the burden at a time like this.” Lin Mo put on a considerate appearance, but his hand also rested on Tang Xingye’s suitcase.
Lu Zhi’s mouth pulled into a fake smile. “I won’t trouble you with such trivial matters. I feel more assured doing it myself.”
Tang Xingye watched his suitcase being yanked back and forth, afraid it would be torn apart. He slapped their hands away. “I’ll pack it myself.”
“I’ll help you.” Lin Mo was quick of eye and hand, going to the wardrobe to collect clothes.
Lu Zhi was a bit annoyed that he was a step late and lost the initiative to perform.
Not wanting to appear idle, he helped pack charging cables and other things. As he was packing, he unintentionally glimpsed Lin Mo stuffing one of Tang Xingye’s socks into his own pocket. The movement was so smooth and natural that Lu Zhi was dumbfounded, momentarily suspecting his own eyes.
Lin Mo showed no embarrassment at being seen. He glanced at Lu Zhi, continued packing as if no one else was there, and extremely naturally included a folded pair of underwear into his own pocket as well.
So shameless!
Lu Zhi only dared to secretly pick up his wife’s underwear to smell when no one was around, but this Lin Mo dared to steal it directly! And steal it so righteously!
Lu Zhi wondered why Tang Xingye changed underwear so frequently; it was all stolen by this thief in the house!
If Tang Xingye knew Lin Mo swiped his intimate clothing, Lin Mo would be finished, never to turn things around in this lifetime.
Lu Zhi was just about to tattle to Tang Xingye, but on second thought—Wait, no!
I don’t even have a pair of Wife’s underwear as a collection yet! In this competition of collection items concerning status and dignity, how could he lose to this insidious mistress right at the start!
A strange desire to win instantly overwhelmed right and wrong. Based on the principle of ‘worry not about scarcity but about inequality,’ Lu Zhi’s eyes immediately became firm. That’s right, I am the Main Wife recognized by Tang Xingye; I can’t retreat in a place like this!
He swiftly pulled a pair from the stack of clean underwear, quickly stuffed it into the inner pocket of his jacket, and subconsciously pressed it to ensure it was hidden securely.
Lin Mo paused upon seeing his action, the corners of his lips seeming to turn down in an extremely subtle way—an arc of extreme disdain and contempt.
He withdrew his gaze, no longer looking at Lu Zhi. His route of action changed subtly. He was no longer satisfied with just packing the hanging clothes; instead, he “naturally” approached the suitcase Tang Xingye hadn’t closed yet, and the small stack of remaining intimate clothing beside it.
His fingers seemed to brush casually over a folded shirt. In the next second, a pair of folded white underwear silently vanished between his fingers. The storage method was countless times more brilliant and concealed than Lu Zhi’s crude pocket-stuffing.
After doing all this, he even calmly picked up the shirt and asked Tang Xingye in a normal tone, “Do you want to put this in?” As if the master thief of intimate apparel just now wasn’t him at all.
Lu Zhi watched from the side, eyes almost popping out!
Shameless! Too shameless! Stealing right under Tang Xingye’s nose! And doing it so hypocritically!
A strong sense of crisis seized Lu Zhi. In the sacred career of stealing Wife’s underwear, he seemed to lag far behind Lin Mo in technique, psychological quality, and thickness of face!
No! Absolutely not! If he couldn’t compare in technique, his quantity absolutely could not fall behind!
Lu Zhi’s eyes became firm and blazing again. Like a warrior about to rush to the battlefield, he reached his demonic claws once more toward the stack of pitiful underwear that was rapidly decreasing…
After Tang Xingye returned to school, he discovered all his underwear had been stolen; not a single pair was left. In less than a second, he guessed who was responsible. With a cold face, he gave the two Alphas a slap each. “Steal again next time, and don’t enter the door.”
Ji Chen looked at the two door gods standing in punishment. His gaze lingered on Lin Mo for a moment, eyes narrowing slightly.
He pushed the door open and saw Tang Xingye, who had finished showering, sitting with the desk lamp on, reading seriously. The soft and warm light fell on the tips of Tang Xingye’s hair, his focused cheeks, and trembling eyelashes.
Ji Chen approached lightly, as if approaching a beautiful Ragdoll cat. He reached out and gently embraced this kitten emitting a fresh fragrance from behind.
Delightfully, the other party seemed completely immersed in the book at hand, only moving slightly without struggling, even unconsciously finding a more comfortable posture to lean against in his arms.
They leaned against each other like this, like a cat and dog seeking warmth in winter.
Tang Xingye got tired of reading and reached out for water. Before his fingertips could touch it, Ji Chen beside him had already naturally placed the thermos into his hand.
“I bought you a new one, why haven’t you changed it?” Ji Chen looked at the worn thermos; the bottle body had several fine scratches, and the rim even had a small chip.
“It’s still usable.” Tang Xingye sipped the water. Although he received many expensive gifts, the concept of simplicity and thrift was still in his bones. Unless it was completely unusable, he felt there was no need to change it.
