[ABO] President Shou Is Not a Total Shou Chapter 59

Chapter 59: Mainly Just Wanted to Play Himself

When Shou Jiaxun opened his eyes at dawn, he only remembered having a very terrible dream, but he couldn’t recall its specific contents.

The most profound things staying up late and a hangover left him with were a top-heavy, exhausted physical body, and a bladder swollen to the point of bursting.

Shou Jiaxun groggily swung his legs off the bed, unpreparedly stepping on something both soft and hard, which instantly scared him awake.

There were two beds in the commercial twin room. Little President Shou couldn’t remember why his assistant would be sleeping on the floor, just as he couldn’t remember how he had returned to the hotel last night.

Stepped on, Liang Bo groaned and rolled over, complaining in a low voice, “Who took my pillow?”

Then he answered himself, “Sigh… the bed is too short.”

Shou Jiaxun chuckled foolishly, casually grabbed a large pillow, bent down, and stuffed it against Assistant Liang’s chest. “Pillow is right here.” He then got up, stepped over the body lying across the floor below the bed, and staggered into the bathroom.

As Liang Bo hugged the pillow, he caught the scent of Omega pheromones. To be exact, it was Shou Jiaxun’s scent. So he instinctively opened his mouth and took a bite out of the pillow.

He was jolted awake immediately. Looking up in a panic, he caught sight of Shou Jiaxun walking into the bathroom with his back to him.

The cartoon gland patch on the back of Little President Shou’s neck had been dampened by his saliva last night, losing its stickiness. Now a large section of its edge was peeled up, hanging precariously.

In the night, Liang Bo had done everything he wanted to do to Shou Jiaxun, but the remnants of his rationality reminded him to keep his ultimate bottom line. So as long as Shou Jiaxun couldn’t remember, he could pretend nothing had happened.

But whether Shou Jiaxun would ultimately remember or not, Liang Bo wasn’t sure. He thought that if Shou Jiaxun did remember, it would be best for him to play drunk, play dumb, and play pitiful.

If playing pitiful was useless, he could only resign himself to fate.

If he was fired, trying to approach Shou Jiaxun again later would definitely be incredibly arduous.

Because Shou Jiaxun wasn’t aloof, but he was very hard to pursue. He lacked a sense of security and highly valued a person’s character and credit score. Any romantic relationship that went against his will was destined to have no future.

And what Liang Bo wanted, precisely, was their future.

So the more Student Little Liang thought about it, the more nervous he became, even starting to regret: why couldn’t he have restrained himself a bit more last night?

The sound of the shower running soon came from the bathroom. President Shou must be completely wide awake by now. Liang Bo thought: No, I can’t just sit and wait for death. I need to test him.

Assistant Liang acted as soon as he spoke. Hugging the pillow, he climbed up from the floor to knock on the bathroom door. “Handsome, how much longer are you going to be? I can’t hold it…”

“Right away! One minute,” Little President Shou called back loudly from the bathroom.

The heart that had nearly leaped out of Liang Bo’s throat instantly settled back into his stomach.

In less than a minute, President Shou, wrapped in a bathrobe with a towel draped over his head, pulled open the bathroom door. “Hurry up and go! Sigh! Out of all my past assistants, you are the one who loves fighting me for the toilet the most.”

“Nature calls, dear!” Liang Bo grimaced and gave a bitter smile, rushing into the bathroom in three steps. Then, while urinating, he teased through the door, “Shows that our pace of life is very in sync, haha! When you buy a house in the future, remember to buy a floor plan with a few extra toilets.”

Shou Jiaxun opened his suitcase to get a new patch and clean clothes. “I’ll just buy a public restroom, it’ll be convenient to host you when you visit as a guest.”

Assistant Liang laughed loudly. “Great! I can even sit at the door and collect fees to make money for you.”

He then followed up by asking, “Hey, are you still using the toilet? If not, I’m just going to take a shower.”

“No need, go ahead and wash.” Shou Jiaxun took advantage of the time he was showering to change clothes and blow-dry his hair. Once he had tidied himself up, he lay back on the bed to “recuperate and build strength”—naturally lying on the neat, unslept-in bed.

He turned his face toward the bed he had slept in, his expression gradually growing perplexed. He thought to himself, What was I doing in bed last night? …Practicing martial arts?

How did he manage to ball up the comforter filling inside the duvet cover?

“Liang Bo—” Shou Jiaxun raised his voice and shouted to Assistant Liang, who was in the shower.

Liang Bo waited a few seconds, but heard nothing more. “Ah? What?”

“Why did you sleep on the floor last night?” Shou Jiaxun asked.

This time it was his turn to not hear anything more.

A few minutes later, when Liang Bo came out of the shower, he finally responded to President Shou. “If I knew why I slept on the floor, I definitely wouldn’t have slept on the floor, right?”

Shou Jiaxun chuckled softly. “I was just asking casually, you don’t need to answer so seriously.”

Liang Bo sighed heavily, squatting down to grab clothes from his suitcase. While he was at it, he reached into the small pocket on the side of the suitcase, dug out a few suppressant pills, and stuffed them into his mouth.

Shou Jiaxun propped up his head with a look of curiosity and asked, “What are you eating?”

“Vitamins… do you want some? Fruit flavored.”

“Sure.” Shou Jiaxun reached out his hand.

Liang Bo promptly pulled a small pillbox from the hidden pocket of the suitcase and tossed it over.

Shou Jiaxun picked it up to look; they really were multivitamins… tropical fruit flavor.

He did this primarily because he smelled a faint, barely-there scent of Alpha pheromones in the room. Of course, it was entirely possible this scent came from the previous guest.

Actually, Shou Jiaxun still highly trusted Assistant Liang up to this point. On one hand, he genuinely thought highly of Liang Bo’s character.

Moreover, when they met four years ago, Liang Bo was still a high school student; Shou Jiaxun was standing on the street selling fruit, not even having set up a shop yet.

At that time, no one could have predicted that one day in the future Liang Bo would work for Shou Jiaxun. Liang Bo had absolutely no reason to hide his secondary gender from Shou Jiaxun.

Liang Bo’s heart secretly drummed. After tossing the vitamins to Shou Jiaxun, he deliberately brought up another matter to interrupt the other’s train of thought. “Do I need to wear formal attire today?”

“No need, we’re not meeting the chief accountant until tomorrow.” Shou Jiaxun popped a fruit-flavored vitamin into his mouth as he spoke, eating it like a candy bean. “Did your biological grandmother really cheat back then?”

Liang Bo was momentarily stunned by the massive leap in topic, taking two seconds to realize Shou Jiaxun was probably asking for the continuation of their chat from last night.

“…Probably not? She doesn’t seem to have remarried to this day.”

Shou Jiaxun nodded, returning the vitamin pillbox to Liang Bo. “Have you seen her?”

“I saw her at my Alpha father’s funeral over ten years ago.” After speaking, Liang Bo smiled awkwardly and scratched the back of his head. “Now I can’t even clearly remember what she looks like.”

Shou Jiaxun curled his lips into an accompanying smile and didn’t press further. By the time Liang Bo put on a loose T-shirt and baggy shorts, dressing exactly like his boss’s biological dad, and came out of the bathroom, Shou Jiaxun had basically adjusted his own emotions to a state unrelated to family affection.

He swiped on his phone to pick a hotel while asking Liang Bo, “Have you been to HK before?”

Booking hotels was an assistant’s job, but there were too many hotels over there and it was chaotic; Shou Jiaxun was afraid he wouldn’t know how to choose.

With a head of soaking wet short hair, Liang Bo swayed over to sit next to Shou Jiaxun and look at his phone together. “I went with my dad when I was little. He originally planned to take me to Ocean Park while passing through on a business trip, but after we got there, he found his schedule was too tight, so we didn’t end up going.”

Shou Jiaxun let out a soft “oh,” forwarded the hotel he had chosen to Liang Bo’s phone, and then suggested, “We don’t have anything going on tonight anyway, want to go take a look?”

“Really?” Liang Bo was both surprised and delighted, but immediately gave a meaningful, teasing smile. “Sigh… don’t be so good to me, I’m afraid I’ll love you too much.”

Shou Jiaxun was shocked, hurriedly standing up, waving his hands, and smiling awkwardly. “Don’t get crazy ideas. It’s mainly because I haven’t been to that park either, I just want to play myself.”
