Chapter 188: Really Senseless
As soon as the wedding ended, Xie Miaohan couldn’t wait to take Gu Huaiye back to their small home in District A.
Here, there were no disturbances from anyone. They could do whatever absurd things they wanted.
The two walked into the apartment. Just after closing the door, Xie Miaohan impatiently reached out to undo the buttons on Gu Huaiye’s suit.
A look of helplessness appeared in Gu Huaiye’s eyes as he smiled and said, “What’s the rush? It’s not our first time in bed.”
“Brother, the significance is different.”
Gu Huaiye slapped his shoulder grumpily. “Starting to act like Xiaohan again? You also know you’re doing something bad right now?”
“Brother, I don’t understand what you’re saying.” Xie Miaohan continued to feign ignorance.
Gu Huaiye paused, asking with a lingering fear, “You’re not planning to play some other tricks and pretending to be Xiaohan because you’re afraid I’ll get angry, are you?”
Xie Miaohan didn’t answer him. After undoing the top two buttons, he couldn’t help but lower his head to kiss his neck.
Gu Huaiye groaned softly, trying to push his head away but failing.
“You… haven’t answered yet…”
“Huaiye, focus.”
Hearing this form of address, Gu Huaiye felt slightly relieved.
It probably wouldn’t be too ruthless.
He had just thought Xie Miaohan was still jealous of Chen Xialin and wanted to take revenge on him.
With Xie Miaohan’s level of jealousy, how could his butt possibly withstand it?
“Miaomiao… wait a moment… haven’t turned… turned on the lights yet…”
He couldn’t see Xie Miaohan’s face or discern the other’s emotions, feeling a slight loss of control.
Moreover, in the dark, other senses were infinitely amplified, causing his pheromones to release uncontrollably.
But for Xie Miaohan, who was in the position of the hunter, the cedar scent filling the air was undoubtedly an invitation.
Before long, Gu Huaiye felt a stinging pain on the back of his neck, followed by the powerful pheromones emanating from Xie Miaohan.
Damn it, is he a dog?!
Gu Huaiye’s legs went weak, and he leaned listlessly against Xie Miaohan.
Xie Miaohan held his waist with one hand, while the other hand restlessly slipped inside Gu Huaiye’s clothes.
“Brother, do you like it?”
Gu Huaiye shook his head. “Re… restrain yourself a bit. I’m really going to… going to go crazy…”
“Brother, you’re speaking intermittently; I can’t hear clearly.”
Gu Huaiye: “……”
Before he could answer, Xie Miaohan suddenly picked him up and walked towards their bedroom.
The bedroom door wasn’t closed either, and a moment later, Gu Huaiye’s intermittent sobbing could be heard.
When Gu Huaiye regained consciousness on the bed, it was already the afternoon of the next day.
Their wedding suits were thrown on the floor, one of the shirts already ruined beyond recognition by them.
Xie Miaohan knelt by the bed, looking at Gu Huaiye with fawning and obedient eyes.
“Don’t look at me like that.” Gu Huaiye gritted his teeth. “I’m about to fall apart from your torment!”
Xie Miaohan quickly said, “Where does it hurt? I’ll rub it for you.”
“Just so you can f*ck me again when it’s better, right?”
Xie Miaohan lowered his eyes and muttered softly, “I’m not that bad.”
Gu Huaiye glared at him angrily. Watching the other’s head droop lower and lower, he finally sighed helplessly.
“Forget it, I’ll settle this score with you later. I’m hungry; go make me some food quickly!”
Xie Miaohan gave a sound of assent and hurriedly got up to go to the kitchen to prepare food.
Gu Huaiye turned over with difficulty and took out his phone to scroll.
He opened WeChat and saw over a dozen messages from Chen Zirui.
Gu Huaiye frowned.
Did he not know that one shouldn’t disturb on the wedding night?
Really senseless.
Although he complained verbally, he still tapped open WeChat.
After a while, Gu Huaiye sat up abruptly and clicked on the news link Chen Zirui shared.
— Headless Corpse Found in District A Landfill, Confirmed to Possess Alpha Characteristics for Now.
He exited the news and looked at the explosive message Chen Zirui sent him.
[The police contacted the old man. It’s said it might be Chen Muyuan’s corpse.]
[Do you know Chen Muyuan? He’s one of my dad’s illegitimate sons.]
Gu Huaiye had just told Xiang Wanxing about Chen Muyuan, and a few days later, Chen Muyuan became a corpse.
Could it be such a coincidence?
And having lived several lives, he had never heard of Chen Muyuan dying so early.
His subconscious told him this should be Xiang Wanxing’s doing, but wouldn’t that be too dangerous?
Xiang Wanxing was an Omega; how did he eliminate an Alpha several times stronger than him?
Even if he arranged for someone to handle it, didn’t he feel this was too risky?
He had finally become the head of the Xiang family with great difficulty. If someone caught wind of this, wouldn’t all his previous efforts be wasted?
Gu Huaiye thought for a moment and lowered his head to message Chen Zirui.
[Are the results out? Is it confirmed to be your dad’s illegitimate son?]
[Brother Gu, you’re finally done! Holy crap, I really wanted to find someone to talk about this.]
Not long after Chen Zirui sent the message, perhaps feeling Gu Huaiye replied too slowly, he called directly.
Gu Huaiye also had questions to ask, so he answered immediately.
Before he could speak, Chen Zirui couldn’t wait to say, “Brother Gu, did you see the news I sent you? My god, it’s so scary. Is District A so chaotic now?”
“I saw it. Is it confirmed to be your dad’s illegitimate son?” Gu Huaiye asked again patiently.
“It seems it really is him. My dad hasn’t come back from the police station yet.” Chen Zirui lamented, “I guess it must be him. This Chen Muyuan was sent on a business trip by my dad and should have returned yesterday, but he hasn’t come back, and no one answers his phone.”
“Did the police reveal any news about the murderer?”
“Not sure. When the police came to my house, they mentioned the murderer might have fled District A. The fingerprints on the weapon didn’t belong to anyone in District A. They also asked if our Chen family had offended anyone recently and told us to try to stay home or hire bodyguards until the murderer is caught.”
Gu Huaiye breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed it wasn’t Xiang Wanxing who did it personally.
But he couldn’t be completely sure it was Xiang Wanxing’s doing.
“By the way, there’s another thing.”
Chen Zirui paused, his tone somewhat complex. “My dad’s other illegitimate children were all driven to District H. You should have heard of District H, right? The poorest place. It seems Xiang Wanxing demanded my dad do this. As for exactly how he demanded it, the old man refused to tell me even if it killed him. I asked Xiang Wanxing, and he wouldn’t say either, only knowing how to buy me off with material things.”
Gu Huaiye: “……” Isn’t that great?
“Huaiye, time to eat.” Xie Miaohan’s voice came from the kitchen. “I cooked noodles. I can’t bring them over; come eat in the living room, then go back to sleep.”
“Okay, coming right away.” Gu Huaiye shouted towards the door, then continued speaking into the phone, “Can’t chat anymore; I’m going to eat.”
Chen Zirui chuckled mischievously. “Eating this late? Seems someone is really fierce.”
Gu Huaiye rolled his eyes. “If you keep joking about me, I’ll tell Xiang Wanxing you’re sexually frustrated.”
“Don’t, I was wrong, okay?”
Gu Huaiye hmphed. “Alright, let’s talk on WeChat.”
Before hanging up, Chen Zirui hurriedly said, “Happy wedding, Brother Gu.”
Gu Huaiye curved his lips. “Thanks.”
When he walked out of the bedroom, Xie Miaohan was holding bowls and chopsticks for both of them, turning to look at Gu Huaiye.
“Was that Chen Zirui calling?”
“Yeah, just chatted about some stuff.” Gu Huaiye pulled out a chair and sat down. Suddenly thinking of something, he took out his phone to show Xie Miaohan. “Did you see the news today? This person was the murderer who killed Chen Zirui in the previous life.”
Xie Miaohan scrolled through the phone, looking at the content of the news.
“You mean?”
“Before, when Xiang Wanxing asked if I was reborn, I told him about this.”
Xie Miaohan understood immediately and handed the phone back.
“No need to pursue this matter. If you think it is, then it is. But regardless of the truth, Xiang Wanxing has long since cleared himself completely. It can’t be traced.”
