EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 65

Chapter 65: My Lord Is Back!

Ye Zhile was discharged. He had spent a year in the hospital. It was now winter, and heavy snow was falling outside. Wen Yumo wrapped him up like a little bear, leaving only his eyes visible. Dudu was held by Ye Junting, also wrapped up tightly.

“I’m not at ease with you being alone at the Leader’s Manor. You can’t take care of yourself,” Wen Yumo disagreed when he heard Ye Zhile wanted to return to the Leader’s Manor.

“It’s okay, Papa. Uncle Xu and Xiao Ruo are at the Manor; they will take good care of me.” Ye Zhile looked down with a bitter smile. “I just want… if My Lord returns, I want to be able to see him the very first moment.”

“Lele, the Leader has been missing for so long. Perhaps he’s already…” Seeing Ye Zhile’s dimmed eyes, Wen Yumo didn’t finish the sentence.

Ye Zhile shook his head. “If he’s alive, I want to see him. If he’s dead, I want to see his body. Since neither can be found, it proves he’s still out there.”

Wen Yumo said no more. “Fine. Then you must take care of yourself. Dudu is hard to look after at night; don’t stay up late. Leave him to the nanny. In short, don’t overexert yourself, okay?”

“Okay,” Ye Zhile responded.

The whole family escorted Ye Zhile back to the Leader’s Manor and only left after having dinner.

Two nannies had been hired for Dudu. After dinner, Ye Zhile showered and went to the nursery. The nursery had been decorated in advance by Uncle Xu; it was a very cozy room.

Dudu was sleeping in the cradle. Perhaps knowing his father’s health was poor, Dudu didn’t make much trouble. When no one was with him, he would entertain himself, making “woo-ah” sounds with his little mouth and sometimes giggling to himself.

Ye Zhile sat by the small bed, his heart aching as he watched. He stroked Dudu’s little face and spoke to him. “Shall Papa play with you?”

“Woo-ah!” Dudu opened his mouth wide. Ye Zhile laughed, reaching out to lift Dudu and teasing him with a small toy.

Dudu seemed to cooperate with him. Every time Ye Zhile teased him with a drumstick, he would let out a “woo-wa” in response. Ye Zhile couldn’t help but laugh. “Is Papa playing with you, or are you playing with Papa?”

“Woo!” Dudu seemed to never tire of it.

As Ye Zhile laughed, his eyes grew stinging and tears spilled over. He whispered, “I miss My Lord so much…”

Ye Zhile settled the child down, and the nanny came in to coax him to sleep. Ye Zhile didn’t dare joke with his own health; after seeing Dudu fall asleep, he went to bed as well.

Ji Shuohan’s pheromones could no longer be felt in the room. He had been gone for too long. Ye Zhile stood in the walk-in closet, hugging My Lord’s clothes, trying to feel some pheromone comfort from them, but there was only the scent of fresh fabric.

Over the past year, aside from the initial breakdown when he first heard about the accident, Ye Zhile had appeared calm. He was afraid of worrying his family and tried to act as if he were slowly moving on, but the sadness in the middle of the night and the fear of returning home now reminded him of the truth.

He missed My Lord so, so much. He didn’t want to hold on alone anymore. He was being driven crazy by the torment…

With no one around, Ye Zhile could cry out loud. He vented all the sadness and pain of the past year, eventually crying himself into unconsciousness while clutching Ji Shuohan’s clothes.

The next day, Ye Zhile woke up late. His complexion was poor, and his mental state was a complete mess. After eating something, he played with Dudu for a while before falling back asleep.

He slept until the afternoon. When he came down to the living room, he realized Xiao Yuanqing had come over. Ye Zhile hurried downstairs. “Brother Yuanqing, why didn’t you have someone wake me?”

Xiao Yuanqing smiled. “Naturally, Lele’s sleep is more important. However, looking at your face, did you secretly cry yesterday? You didn’t sleep well, did you?”

“As expected of a medical student, nothing escapes Brother Yuanqing’s eyes,” Ye Zhile teased.

“I was just afraid you’d think too much and hurt your own body. So today, I’ve brought you some good news.” Xiao Yuanqing smiled mysteriously. Ye Zhile was overjoyed. “Is it… is it My Lord?”

“Mhm.” Xiao Yuanqing nodded. “Ah-Jin told me today that the military found the badge from Shuohan’s shoulder in a village in the North. There were traces of someone having lain nearby, which means Shuohan was likely rescued by someone. They are all very busy today, so I came to tell you this good news.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Zhile wept with joy. “I knew he’d be fine…”

Xiao Yuanqing helped wipe away his tears. “The military is currently doing everything to find him, so you must nurse your body well and not let him worry.”

“But…” Ye Zhile worried again, “Why hasn’t he come back for so long?”

“Perhaps he was delayed by something, or maybe he was injured and it wasn’t convenient,” Xiao Yuanqing comforted him. “Wait a little longer, okay? He will definitely be found.”

“Okay,” Ye Zhile said.

After dinner that evening, Ye Zhile held Dudu and played, a smile he couldn’t suppress on his face. “Dudu, your father is coming back. Are you happy?”

“Doo…” Dudu pouted his lips.

“Haha…” Ye Zhile spun in a circle with Dudu in his arms. “When your father comes back, Dudu will be his surprise!”

Ye Zhile looked forward to the meeting with My Lord. He didn’t know how to describe that feeling—whether it was regaining something lost or fulfilling a long-held wish. In any case, as long as My Lord returned, he would be very happy.

Ye Zhile imagined countless scenes. They would embrace and weep with joy, My Lord would kiss him and feel sorry for him, saying things like “Baby, you’ve worked hard,” and then he would hold Dudu, and the whole family would be happy together.

But Ye Zhile didn’t expect the possibility outside of those imaginings.

One day, a month later, Ye Zhile was in the nursery playing with Dudu when Xiao Ruo came running in frantically. “Madam!”

“What is it?” Ye Zhile always treated everyone gently, even Xiao Ruo, who had rushed in without manners and made a huge racket. He was currently holding a drumstick to tease Dudu.

“My Lord is back!” Xiao Ruo shouted joyfully!

Ye Zhile froze. He stood up so quickly he almost tripped over the stool. Xiao Ruo supported him. “Careful, Madam!”

“I’m fine.” Ye Zhile dropped the drumstick and ran out. He ran to the top of the stairs and saw a man standing in the hall in military uniform, tall and upright. The sharp, handsome face under the brim of the cap finally reappeared before his eyes after over a year.

“My Lord!” Ye Zhile ran downstairs. His eyes were only for his Lord; he didn’t see the person behind him. He flew over and threw himself into Ji Shuohan’s arms, burying himself in his chest. “My Lord is finally back…”

Ye Zhile wept with joy. Heaven knew how long he had waited for this moment. However, after he held the Supreme Leader and cried for a moment, he didn’t feel the man move. Ye Zhile looked up, his eyes wet. The man looking at him was cold, even reaching out to push him away. A familiar voice spoke words that were hard to believe:

“Who are you?”

“What…?” Ye Zhile was stunned. Then, he saw a timid, cowardly Omega standing right behind My Lord…

Ye Zhile felt as if he had been struck by lightning…

Translator’s Note: He’s back! But… “Who are you?” The dreaded amnesia trope has arrived! And who is this timid Omega? The “Crematorium” part of the title (追妻火葬場) usually refers to a story where the male lead treats the partner poorly and then has to “chase them through a crematorium” (metaphorically) to win them back. It’s about to get messy. Ahhhhhh~ No~~~ I hate this huhuhu
