Part 2
Zhao Zeyang raised his hand in anger to punch Shi Ye. As a boxer, Shi Ye naturally reacted, but before he could hit back, he was shoved aside hard. Leon raised his hand and punched Zhao Zeyang to the ground.
“Although I don’t really like Zhou Xie’s style, it is effective.” Leon cracked his neck, sneering. “The Open regulations state that contestants are prohibited from violating the law. Picking quarrels and provoking trouble in public places in District 1 is punishable by ten days detention.”
This punch and these words stunned everyone.
Thump thump thump, someone ran down from upstairs, hurrying to help Zhao Zeyang up. “Sorry, sorry, my young master got a bit excited seeing an alumnus.”
Creak—
The window upstairs opened from inside. Wang Sichen looked down from above, elegantly raising a glass. “Little friend, just a small matter, no need to trouble the police.”
Leon frowned, reaching out to pull Wen Rong.
Wang Sichen turned his head and added, “My kid broke things at your place. Contact my secretary for reimbursement later.”
“Just a few bowls, it’s fine.”
Only hearing the voice and not seeing the person, but the dialogue made it easy to guess that this person was the shop owner.
There were no bowls on the ground, but if Wang Sichen said there were, then there were.
Zhao Zeyang wiped his mouth and got up, dropping harsh words at Shi Ye. “I will definitely beat you this time.”
Shi Ye wanted to speak, but Leon shot him a look, so he stopped.
Zhao Zeyang went upstairs. There was no mood to continue eating. The three walked out of the restaurant and got into Shi Ye’s car.
Shi Ye stared fixedly at the empty passenger seat. Just as he prepared to speak, Leon laughed. “Look, Zhou Xie’s dad is stepping down soon, so Wang Sichen’s people don’t take us seriously anymore.”
Shi Ye’s throat caught.
The Federation’s situation was just like this. Some people supported a president to rise to power, and the president sought profit for these people. Shi Ye’s family and Leon’s family supported Zhou Xie’s father. With Wang Sichen taking office next, they were bound to suffer some hardships.
Of course, Zhao Zeyang daring to provoke him also had to do with his departure from the Shi family.
Shi Ye let out a breath. “I will definitely win the match.”
Leon curved his lips in a smile of unclear meaning. Turning to speak to Wen Rong, he found Wen Rong staring out the window the whole time.
“What’s wrong?” Leon leaned in to look with him.
“Senior, when I came in, I saw a pretty shop at the entrance. I want to look around before going back.”
“Okay.”
The car started. Wen Rong suddenly remembered something important. “Isn’t driving prohibited here?”
Leon chuckled lightly. “Consider it a little… special privilege.”
Wen Rong’s glasses pressed against the car window, gazing at the pedestrians on the road, murmuring softly: “So I’ve been enjoying privileges for a long time.”
Arriving at the entrance, the three got out.
The shop indeed specialized in selling cultural and creative products; Wen Rong didn’t come to the wrong place.
While Leon and Shi Ye weren’t paying attention, he bought two shiny items and quietly hid them in his pocket.
It really only took 15 minutes from the Research Center to Shi Ye’s house. Shi Ye drove very fast, speeding in the innermost lane, barely encountering any traffic lights along the way.
Probably seeing Wen Rong’s surprise, Leon explained, “We took the inner-district expressway. The fast lane has no speed limit. Shi Ye raced cars when he was little, he can drive very fast.”
Wen Rong looked at the blurred car scenery, unable to help swallowing his saliva. “Better… go slow… slow… safety is important.”
Shi Ye: “Got it.”
The speed probably dropped by about 10. Wen Rong gripped the handle tightly, his heart in his throat.
When getting out of the car, his legs were jelly. He rejoiced: Lucky to be alive.
But unfortunately, Shi Ye actively offered to go train, leaving Wen Rong and Leon staring at each other.
Less than two seconds later, Leon said, “I’ll walk you back to your room.”
“No need, no need.”
“Wen Rong, are you avoiding me?” He apologized in a low voice again, “Sorry, I left a psychological shadow on you last night.”
“No, no.”
Amidst refusal and inability to refuse, Leon supported the weak-legged Wen Rong upstairs.
The short journey was even more apprehensive than the car ride. Wen Rong was on tenterhooks, afraid Senior Leon would say words like “bite back” again.
“Wen Rong.”
Just as the dawn of the room door was in sight, Senior Leon broke the silence.
Wen Rong responded timidly: “Mn…”
“I love you.”
“……”
Wen Rong: “!”
“I just wanted you to know.”
“…”
“Go in.”
Wen Rong yanked the door open and slammed it shut with a snap. Disregarding everything else, he threw himself onto the bed.
He rolled around, arched around, and finally curled up into a ball on the bed like a coward, butt in the air, face buried in his arms.
At this moment, a strange memory flashed back.
“When sitting on Senior’s body, you cannot move like this.”
Sit, on, Senior’s, body!
The exhaled hot breath returned to his cheeks, as if the ambiguity remaining from last night embraced his body again, lingering on the sensitive thigh flesh.
Wen Rong tensed all over.
He hurriedly forced himself to roll over, lying flat on the bed.
But the weird memory popped out again. The Senior hugging him, very tight, very hot, moist like a snake.
Don’t think about it, don’t think about it.
Cannot indulge!
But this seemed harder than quitting hugging. Wen Rong drowned in inexplicable tension and heat. Sinking to the bottom, he unexpectedly—fell into anxiety.
The System sensed his emotional value was actually dropping and couldn’t help asking: 【Host, isn’t this a good thing?】
The System thought, Leon likes Host, Host also likes Leon, so they can naturally be together. Why does the Host look like he’s having a hard time accepting it?
Wen Rong sat up abruptly, as if a ghost suddenly appeared in a sweet dream, shivering all over.
“Brother, if I date Senior Leon, does that mean I can’t go out to play with the Seniors from the News Club anymore?”
【Ah?】
“And Shi Ye.”
“Can I not play tennis with him in the morning to train abs anymore?”
【Should… be able to go out and play.】
“But that couple quarreled.”
【Which couple?】
“The couple arguing in front of the Water Curtain Fountain. They looked like they were breaking up.”
That couple made him realize that dating turned out to be a kind of “responsibility.”
Wen Rong liked his current life. When seeing scenery he liked, he could share it with everyone. He could go out to play with everyone, doing whatever he wanted. If he dated, it seemed he couldn’t do that anymore.
If he dated the Senior, he would have to be responsible to the Senior. He couldn’t make the Senior jealous or sad, otherwise, how would he be different from Shi Ye’s father?
However, Wen Rong discovered that while he liked the Senior very much, he also liked the others.
He couldn’t bear to part with other friends.
“This kind of life has only been for a few months. Can I experience it a bit more and date later?”
【You can.】
Actually, the System wanted to say dating is a matter for two people. Since he already knew the other person’s feelings, not responding might make them lose heart. But on second thought, the people chasing the Host lined up from here to Floriman Academy; it wouldn’t be a pity to lose any one of them.
Wen Rong felt completely at ease, patting his cheeks. “Put these things aside for now. I bought gifts for Senior and Shi Ye. I want to learn how to wrap them.”
【Why buy them gifts?】
“Thanking Senior for treating me to dinner and fireworks, thanking Shi Ye for letting me stay here.”
【Mhm, mhm, okay, okay.】
Seeing the Host understand worldly wisdom and reciprocity, the System was very satisfied. Its Host had grown up!
Knock, knock, knock.
A knock sounded at this time.
Wen Rong looked doubtfully at the door, having a bad premonition. “Brother, it can’t be the Senior, right?”
Then he got nervous. “What if he asks me to bite back?”
【You can refuse.】
I can refuse.
Right, I can refuse.
But what reason should I use to refuse the Senior…
Wen Rong hesitated, getting up to open the door—seeing an unexpected person.
Shi Ye looked like he had just run back from the training ground, sweat dripping from his forehead, huffing and puffing, actually still holding a tennis racket in his hand.
“It was me last night,” he said.
“Ah?”
Shi Ye’s throat rolled. “The one kissing you last night was me.”
Wen Rong: “?”
“It was really me.”
“……”
“Your mouth was bitten broken by me, because you bit my tongue.”
Shi Ye stuck out his tongue, revealing a distinct wound on the tip.
Scarlet, steaming, like a terrifying monster.
“Ahhhhhhh.” Due to excessive shock, Wen Rong’s throat emitted a bizarre howl.
【Close the door, close the door!】 The System screamed.
Wen Rong slammed the door shut with a bang.
The world was quiet.
The System was quiet.
Brain blank.
Wen Rong stood on the floor, stiff as a stick.
What did Shi Ye say?
Shi Ye said the one kissing me last night was him?
Said my mouth was bitten broken by him?
Also said I bit his tongue?
The System roared anxiously, 【Host, didn’t Leon say it was him? How could it be Shi Ye?】
“Right, didn’t Senior say it was him!”
【Who exactly was it?】
“Who exactly was it?”
【Host, calm down.】
“I… I-I calm down.”
【Right.】
“Right, calm down.”
Wen Rong slapped himself hard, forcing himself to calm down.
“Why did Senior Leon say it was him, and Shi Ye also said it was him?”
【Yeah, why did Senior Leon say it was him, and Shi Ye also said it was him?】
“Why!”
【Why!】
“Brother, you calm down a bit.”
【Right, I calm down a bit.】
“…”
【…】
One person and one system maintained a bizarre silence. The room fell into complete silence.
Outside the door, the phone in Shi Ye’s pocket vibrated with a zzzt. He picked it up, his eyes dyed with the blue light of the screen.
Three minutes ago, Leon messaged:
[I confessed to Wen Rong about last night.]
Three seconds ago, Leon messaged again:
[I also said, his mouth was bitten by me.]
[He believed it all.]
