After the Honest Man Picked Up a Dark, Obsessive Psycho chapter 100

Chapter 100: Husband — A Clingy Little Couple

Jiang Yunian had just sat down in the back row of the classroom when Qian Cheng, who was beside him, gave an eccentric snort. He glanced at him sideways, his tone dripping with jealousy.

“Not bad, Jiang Yunian. Hiding your light under a bushel, huh? You played us all for fools and made me lose a lot of face!”

Jiang Yunian rubbed his nose guiltily, not knowing how to respond. He really hadn’t done this on purpose. Even he felt that things had progressed with incredible speed; looking back, it felt like the fast-forward button had been pressed, and he had muddled through the next few years of his life path. But when it came to matters of the heart, who could have predicted it?

Reaching the stage of marriage was something he had never dared to think of before. Yet, it had truly and surely happened to him.

Qian Cheng understood the logic, but for a while, he still couldn’t get over the hurdle in his heart. The more he thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt. Previously, Jiang Yunian was just an insignificant follower in his eyes, but now? He had ascended to the heavens in one step and become the “wealthy young madam” that even he had to look up to. This psychological gap was truly massive.

He couldn’t figure out for the life of him how these two people, who were completely worlds apart, had managed to get tangled up together.

The more Qian Cheng thought, the angrier he got. “Playing me like a monkey, was it fun?”

How could that be… Jiang Yunian waved his hands hurriedly. This story was a long one. He and Jiang Yan had indeed known each other for a long time, but…

“Hmph!” This was exactly what Qian Cheng was angry about. He had clearly been involved with his cousin for a long time, yet he had pretended to be unfamiliar in front of him, making him jump around like a clown in retrospect. He spoke stiffly: “I don’t care. You weren’t a good friend in this matter. In the future, you must look out for me… and put in a few good words for me in front of my cousin!”

Hmm…?

Jiang Yunian was a bit helpless. “Aren’t you his older cousin?”

Qian Cheng’s old face turned red. How could he have the face to show off that distant relative relationship in front of the actual spouse? He stiffened his neck and muttered that being a cousin was nothing; it couldn’t compare to the effectiveness of a “pillow talk” word.

The words “pillow talk” made Jiang Yunian’s earlobes burn, and he silently lowered his head without a word of rebuttal. As he bowed his head, his loose collar opened slightly, revealing ambiguous red marks on his neck. Some marks were in conspicuous positions, looking as if they were deliberately left there to declare ownership.

Qian Cheng’s sharp eyes caught a glimpse. He clicked his tongue internally. Looking at that thin and frail frame, he wondered if Yunian could even handle it. His cousin looked like a very fierce and powerful man. Thinking of this, the resentment in his heart lessened a bit—it seemed the “wealthy life” wasn’t something just anyone could enter.

After class, Jiang Yunian took his time packing his things. By now, the students had already scattered. He turned his head to see that familiar tall figure. He didn’t know how long he had been waiting at the door.

After all, they were in their honeymoon phase; Jiang Yunian figured he should be more accommodating.

He walked over, letting Jiang Yan take his backpack and pull him into his arms for a nuzzle.

Taking advantage of the crowd dispersing, Jiang Yan pulled him into an empty corner of the teaching building, lowering his head to seek a kiss.

Jiang Yunian truly had no way to deal with him. He used his hand to push against the approaching chest, his cheeks slightly red. “Don’t, people will be here.”

Jiang Yan stopped, but didn’t let go. He squeezed the person into the corner of the wall, looking a bit aggrieved. “We haven’t seen each other for a whole day, and you won’t even let your husband have a kiss?”

This title was difficult for Jiang Yunian to get used to. He pushed him shyly. “Don’t call me that randomly.”

“We’re already married; what are you still shy about?” Jiang Yan said confidently, a hint of teasing at the corner of his mouth. His hands began to move restlessly against Yunian’s waist. “Tell me, am I your husband?”

Although the corner was secluded, someone could pass by at any time. Jiang Yunian was incredibly nervous, afraid of being caught. Unable to withstand Jiang Yan’s offensive, he had no choice but to nod his head with a red face.

Jiang Yan curled his lips in satisfaction. He didn’t actually have a hobby of performing R-rated scenes in public places. He took Jiang Yunian’s hand and expertly led him into an empty self-study room, locking the door behind them and pressing the person against the door.

“Now there’s no one else. Ge can do whatever he wants.”

Jiang Yunian: “…”

Did he say he wanted to do anything??

Usually, it was Jiang Yan who was as active as a wolf or tiger, but this time he merely leaned in, watching his Ge with leisure, his dark eyes filled with expectation.

Jiang Yunian felt uncomfortable under his gaze and looked away. After a moment of struggle, he finally gave up his resistance. He awkwardly reached out, placed his hands on Jiang Yan’s broad shoulders, stood on his tiptoes, and placed a shallow kiss on his cheek.

After the kiss, he pursed his lips and secretly peeked at his reaction.

Jiang Yan was clearly dissatisfied with this bit of charity. He stared at him intently, encouraging him to continue.

Jiang Yunian seemed to be hexed by that focused gaze, and his heart rate gradually accelerated. He took a deep breath as if making a decision. He stood on his tiptoes again and lightly pressed his lips against Jiang Yan’s slightly cool ones. They touched once and immediately separated.

Jiang Yan still shook his head, his gaze deepening.

He was so hard to serve.

Jiang Yunian sighed in his heart. he poked out a bit of his soft tongue-tip and timidly explored inward, trying to pry open his teeth, appearing green and clumsy.

This kitten-like exploration and the alluring charm of it almost instantly ignited Jiang Yan’s suppressed rationality. With a low gasp, he could no longer hold back. One hand tightly gripped Jiang Yunian’s slender waist to press him against his body, while the other hand held his chin. Reversing the roles, he lowered his head and kissed him fiercely.

The light kiss gradually deepened, and he moved Jiang Yunian’s knees apart. Locked against the door, Jiang Yunian had nowhere to run. He was forced to stand on his tiptoes to meet the fervent kiss.

“Wu…” Jiang Yunian’s mouth was blocked, and he was nearly unable to breathe. He used his watery eyes to silently plead for mercy.

Jiang Yan finally released his lips, resting his forehead against his, rubbing the corner of his mouth as he spoke in a raspy, sexy voice. “Call me husband.”

Jiang Yunian had been kissed until he had no strength left. He was practically hanging off Jiang Yan, leaning on his shoulder for support as he panted softly. Regarding this request, he pursed his lips and refused to speak.

Jiang Yan’s eyes darkened. He caught his chin, making a move to kiss him again.

Jiang Yunian was indeed frightened, afraid that if they continued kissing, he would faint. With a trembling voice, he called out weakly, “Hus… husband…”

“Good boy,” Jiang Yan touched his reddened face, saying he didn’t hear clearly and to say it again.

Jiang Yunian bit his lower lip, feeling that the words were shameful, but he still obediently and hesitantly called him “Husband.”

This title clearly pleased Jiang Yan immensely, making him exceptionally excited. However, he didn’t make any over-the-top moves. Instead, he asked tentatively, “Then can I call Ge… Wifey?”

Jiang Yunian’s reddened face froze for a second.

Jiang Yan’s heart immediately skipped a beat, and he cursed himself for having a loose tongue. He knew exactly how much of a bastard he had been in the past. Now he was afraid he’d trigger his Ge’s bad memories. He immediately felt regretful, cupping Jiang Yunian’s face and leaving tiny kisses on his forehead and eyes, filled with remorse. “I’m sorry, Ge. I shouldn’t have mentioned that.”

Jiang Yunian let him kiss for a while, not intentionally bringing up those past unpleasantries. In his view, Jiang Yan had already paid the price for everything in the past. Moreover, they were already married and had become the closest people to each other. Fixating on the past would only add to their troubles.

People must always look forward.

He gently hugged Jiang Yan back and rubbed his head against his shoulder.

Jiang Yan felt his comfort and, seeing that his expression was indeed normal, finally felt a bit at ease. He carefully lowered him from his lap and meticulously straightened his messy collar and hem. He asked softly, “Going back?”

Jiang Yunian shook his head, his voice still holding a bit of softness after the intimacy. “I’m going back to the dorm.”

Jiang Yan’s brow furrowed slightly. “Did Ge forget? We are already married.”

There was no logic in being married but living apart.

“Move in with me tonight.”

Jiang Yunian was very persistent. “It won’t work. The school checks the dorms… ah…”

Before he could finish, Jiang Yan’s hand threateningly squeezed his waist.

“We’re married; shouldn’t we live together?” Jiang Yan lowered his head to rub against his nose, acting spoiled. “I want to see Ge every single day.”

If it weren’t for the previous experience of being tormented for the entire holiday until he couldn’t get out of bed, Jiang Yunian might have believed this rhetoric. If they really lived together, he was afraid he’d be forced to “work” all the time. How could he have the heart to study well?

This time, Jiang Yunian’s attitude was firm; he wasn’t fooled.

“Why?” Jiang Yan looked aggrieved. “Weren’t you holding me tight last night, unwilling to let me go?”

He started again.

Jiang Yunian glared at him. How could he dare mention it? He had clearly threatened him that if he didn’t do that certain something, he’d mess with him all night… and the result? He still broke his word, stopping only after Yunian had fainted. It was simply terrifying! If they truly lived together every day, he didn’t dare imagine if he’d ever have the strength to get out of bed.

Both sides held their own opinions, and neither could convince the other. During their entanglement, footsteps came from the hallway outside; it seemed students were arriving for the next class.

Jiang Yan had no choice but to let him go for now. But before leaving, he pinched his cheek and gave a bossy command: “Within this week, you must move in, otherwise I’ll go to the dorm and carry Ge away.”

That night, Jiang Yunian returned to 707.

Everyone was a bit surprised to see him actually coming back to stay. Among them, Xu Zhiyuan was the most curious, his eyes wide, his face practically screaming “confess.”

Being surrounded by them, Jiang Yunian had no choice but to come clean, omitting some of the less pleasant details and briefly recounting the history of how he and Jiang Yan knew each other.

Qian Cheng and Xu Zhiyuan clicked their tongues in amazement, sighing that fate was truly a mysterious thing, all arranged by the heavens.

How come they didn’t have such good luck?

On the other side, He Qing, who had been silent all along, sat nearby wearing headphones, seemingly without any intention of participating.

As Jiang Yunian spoke, he accidentally caught a glimpse of the chat interface on He Qing’s phone; it appeared to be Zhou Shu. Recalling the news he’d heard a few days ago, the Zhou family had canceled the engagement.

He walked over, wanting to say something to him, and accidentally bumped He Qing’s arm. Sensing someone was there, He Qing turned off his screen and turned his head. Seeing it was Jiang Yunian, he followed up with a tease.

“Getting married without saying a word.”

Jiang Yunian scratched his face, feeling a bit embarrassed. “It was… quite sudden.”

He Qing nodded casually, his eyes drooping, saying as long as he was happy, it was fine.

The phone in his hand was still vibrating occasionally. Jiang Yunian resisted for a bit but couldn’t help asking in a small voice, “What about you?”

He had heard Jiang Yan mention it once—the Zhou family didn’t seem to have completely given up on finding a suitable marriage partner. It occurred to him that things were likely difficult between He Qing and Zhou Shu as well. But looking at it now, this pair of childhood sweethearts had been entangled for so many years; neither had truly given up on the other.

He Qing gripped his phone, his knuckles turning a bit white. He lifted his head, a look of almost stubborn determination in his eyes as he looked at Jiang Yunian.

“Don’t worry,” he said. “After all these years, it can’t be broken.”

This was the first time Jiang Yunian had heard He Qing clearly affirm their relationship; it seemed he was in very deep. No matter what, he hoped they would have a good result.

The final dorm conversation ended with the shouting of Qian Cheng and Xu Zhiyuan. They clamored that the only two people in the dorm who had “escaped singlehood” had to treat them. Especially since Jiang Yunian and He Qing’s “boyfriends” were both extraordinary, they insisted they had to be fleeced for a big meal.

Jiang Yunian and He Qing exchanged a look, both seeing helplessness in each other’s eyes. Seeing they couldn’t escape, they simply agreed.

The night grew deep, and the dorm returned to silence.

Jiang Yunian lay on his bed, looking at the top of his bed curtains, thinking about the messages sent by a certain someone. The corners of his mouth couldn’t help but curl into a sweet smile.

And on the other side, He Qing’s phone screen was also flickering with a faint light in the darkness.
