Chapter 53: Goodnight Kiss
Wen Yuhuai completely broke down: “&$¥%#@%… I’ll f*ck your ancestors!”
Fu Xingjian was amused. He wrapped his arms around the man, blankets and all, and said slowly, “I don’t have any elders for you to fck, but Baby can fck me. I promise not to resist.”
Wen Yuhuai was completely out of options. This man’s skin was thicker than a city wall; nothing he said could hurt him.
Fu Xingjian took off the watch on his wrist, placed it on the nightstand, and rolled onto the bed while holding him. “Last night, in order to plan your capture, I didn’t sleep a wink. I’m dying of exhaustion. Be good and accompany me for a nap. I won’t touch you.”
The more Wen Yuhuai heard, the angrier he got. He had the nerve to say that!
Having just eaten, he was full of energy. Only a fool would be obedient. He began to struggle through gritted teeth, twisting in Fu Xingjian’s arms like a loach, occasionally landing a kick or a slap in the chaos.
Fu Xingjian was kicked somewhere sensitive and let out an involuntary muffled groan. Taking advantage of the confusion, Wen Yuhuai gave him several more kicks. Just as he was about to kick him off the bed, his calf was suddenly caught.
“You’ve got quite some strength. Try kicking me again.”
Fu Xingjian poked the inside of his cheek, which was numb from being hit, with his tongue. His smile was somewhat roguish.
Wen Yuhuai certainly wanted to continue kicking, but before he could exert any force, Fu Xingjian grabbed his calf and pulled it upward, while his other hand pinched the root of his thigh.
The posture was a bit dangerous.
Even more dangerous was the sudden pressure against his hip bone*****
Wen Yuhuai didn’t dare to act rashly anymore. He stiffened in Fu Xingjian’s arms like a piece of wood. “What exactly do you want?”
Fu Xingjian pulled him firmly into his embrace, his voice carrying a hint of laziness. “I said it just now. Be good and accompany me for a nap. I won’t do anything to you.”
“Of course, if you insist on doing something interesting, I’m more than happy to oblige.”
Wen Yuhuai stiffly turned over to face away from him and closed his eyes in a gesture of compromise.
Fu Xingjian didn’t mind his small movements. He reached out to pull the person facing away from him into his arms, resting his chin contentedly in the crook of his neck. Since the person was already lying obediently by his side, there was no need to rush the rest.
Wen Yuhuai thought he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep, but when he opened his eyes, it was already almost dark outside.
The space beside him was empty, but the warmth remained; the person must not have been gone long.
Wen Yuhuai dazed on the bed for a while, threw back the covers, and slowly got out of bed. When he opened the bedroom door, his eyes were stung by the bright lights outside.
“Awake? Good timing, get ready for dinner.” Fu Xingjian was wearing an apron, bringing dishes to the dining table.
Wen Yuhuai stood blankly in front of the bedroom door for a few seconds, his gaze falling on him with a sense of bewilderment, as if he hadn’t yet realized his current situation.
Fu Xingjian’s heart softened completely at that look of reliance. His voice became several degrees gentler: “Why aren’t you coming over to eat? Are you not hungry yet?”
Wen Yuhuai finally woke up completely. With a listless expression, he turned around and went back into the room. Throughout the entire process, he didn’t say a single word, treating the person in the dining room as if he were air.
The smile on Fu Xingjian’s face faded. He set the dinner on the table anyway, then untied his apron and went to the bedroom to find him.
“Why aren’t you eating?”
Wen Yuhuai lifted his eyelids and finally gave him a look. “I don’t want to eat.”
Fu Xingjian approached and looked down at the person curled up on the sofa, his tone still gentle and considerate: “Why don’t you want to eat? Is the food I made not to your taste?”
Wen Yuhuai let out a cold snort. This time he didn’t even bother to lift his eyelids. “Because I don’t want to see you.”
No one spoke again. The room fell into a state of pure, dead silence.
Wen Yuhuai felt a momentary sense of satisfaction after saying that, but it quickly turned into regret. His current situation was already passive; what if he provoked the man into losing his mind and doing something to him?
However, it was impossible for him to apologize. He huddled on the sofa with his neck stiff, continuing the standoff with Fu Xingjian.
After a long while, still no one spoke. The shadow on the floor hadn’t moved an inch, like a wooden statue. Fearing he had driven the man crazy with anger, Wen Yuhuai finally peeked up cautiously, only to fall right into those bottomless pupils.
That one look seemed to flip a switch. Fu Xingjian stopped cosplaying a wooden statue. He let out a soft laugh and leaned down to pick him up.
“Don’t want to see me? Then why did Baby look up? You still want to see me. Fine, I know Baby likes to be duplicitous. I’ll forgive you this once, but don’t say such things next time.”
Wen Yuhuai was picked up in a bridal carry. He instinctively wanted to struggle, but after catching a glimpse of the man’s tensed jawline from the corner of his eye, his heart skipped a beat, and he ultimately gave up.
This man was probably on the verge of exploding from anger, barely maintaining his outward calm through gritted teeth. It was better not to provoke him at this time.
He was carried steadily all the way back to the dining room. Fu Xingjian still didn’t put him down. Instead, he had him sit on his lap, treating him like a child as he picked up food with chopsticks to feed him.
“Be good. Open up.”
Wen Yuhuai’s mouth seemed to be glued shut. He pressed his feet against the ground, trying hard to get up from him, but an arm like an iron band was wrapped around his waist. No matter how much force he used, he couldn’t stand up.
Fu Xingjian ate the piece of chicken that had brushed against Wen Yuhuai’s lips himself. Finding an opportunity, Wen Yuhuai quickly spoke: “I can eat by myself. Let go of me.”
“Didn’t you just say you didn’t want to eat?”
Wen Yuhuai hurriedly said, “I want to now.”
Fu Xingjian finally let go. Wen Yuhuai breathed a sigh of relief and scrambled off him as if his tail were on fire. Just as he was about to sit in the seat furthest from him, he saw Fu Xingjian leisurely pull out the chair next to him. “Sit here.”
Seeing Wen Yuhuai’s footsteps falter, he smiled nonchalantly. “My lap or this chair. Choose for yourself.”
Wen Yuhuai eventually turned back and sat down obediently beside him.
After finishing dinner, Wen Yuhuai immediately hurried back to his room. Before closing the door, he specifically reminded Fu Xingjian, “You said it yourself—we sleep separately at night. You aren’t allowed to sneak in with a key in the middle of the night.”
Fu Xingjian suddenly approached. Just a second before Wen Yuhuai could close the door, he reached out and blocked it with great force, looking at him with a focused gaze.
“I can promise you that, but you must also promise me one condition.”
Wen Yuhuai wanted to flip out. When they discussed it during the day, there was no mention of any conditions. But given the current situation, he suppressed his grievance and asked, “What condition?”
Fu Xingjian smiled slightly. “From now on, I want a goodnight kiss every night before bed.”
This was more than he could bear. Wen Yuhuai was about to lose his temper on the spot, but Fu Xingjian was quick. He grabbed Wen Yuhuai’s arm and dragged him out of the room.
Before Wen Yuhuai could erupt, his head was accurately cupped, and an overwhelming kiss descended upon him.
