Chapter 59: He Really Wanted Gu Xinglan to Enjoy Himself Tonight
At the dinner table that evening, Qin Wan was in an exceptionally good mood.
He kept placing food onto Gu Xinglan’s plate, meticulously picking out fish bones for him, and even lightly testing the temperature with his own lips before feeding him soup with a small spoon.
Gu Xinglan peacefully enjoyed Qin Wan’s exclusive service. His appetite was hearty, and every bite tasted extraordinarily delicious.
“Gege, Auntie Rong has her surgery tomorrow. Is there anything else that needs to be prepared?” Qin Wan asked.
Gu Xinglan shook his head. “Don’t worry, everything has been arranged.”
Throughout the day, he had finalized every single detail of Zhou Rong’s surgery.
After Sun Liming had caved and admitted defeat that morning, Gu Xinglan immediately contacted the director of Sheng’an Hospital.
The director instantly organized a powerful surgical team, and the specific plan was ready by the afternoon.
The director had guaranteed Gu Xinglan that Zhou Rong’s surgery would be a complete success.
Qin Wan pursed his lips, scooped another spoonful of Mrs. Song’s Fish Broth, blew on it gently, and brought it to Gu Xinglan’s lips.
“Gege, you’ve worked hard for Auntie Rong’s sake. Eat more.” A deep smile played on his lips as he spoke.
His eyes were filled with nothing but gratitude.
Remembering something else, he said, “I went back to the food stall where I used to work today. The owner is looking to sell the business, and I want to take it over.”
As he spoke, he carefully observed the expression on Gu Xinglan’s face.
Gu Xinglan gave a slight nod. “You want to open a shop?”
“Yeah. You know I love cooking. I was thinking of taking over the shop first, then finding a place to learn professional techniques so I can handle everything on my own.”
Gu Xinglan looked at Qin Wan and asked, “You want to be your own boss and earn money?”
Qin Wan pursed his lips and smiled. “Mhm, that’s part of the reason.”
Gu Xinglan’s brow arched slightly. “Can I not afford to support you?”
Qin Wan tilted his head, his brow furrowing slightly.
He felt that Gu Xinglan’s words were quite unreasonable.
The man supported him as one would support a pet.
Could he support him for a lifetime?
Who knew when he would grow bored or annoyed? Once he regained his freedom, he would still have to manage his own life.
However, he didn’t dare voice these thoughts.
Seeing that Qin Wan remained silent, Gu Xinglan pursed his lips.
He seemed to hesitate for a moment.
“Being a boss and running a shop isn’t as simple as just cooking. It will be very exhausting, especially at the beginning.”
Qin Wan quickly nodded. “I’ve never been afraid of hard work.”
Gu Xinglan stared into his eyes for a long moment, sinking into silence.
“Since you’ve decided, I’ll find you a place where you can learn the craft.”
Qin Wan breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. “Thank you, Gege. You’re so kind!”
He had been worried that Gu Xinglan wouldn’t agree to him opening a shop.
He hadn’t expected him to not only agree but proactively offer help.
Qin Wan suddenly felt that although Gu Xinglan was usually overbearing, ruthless, and had a sharp tongue, he didn’t seem to be that bad to him.
He felt he should do something to show his appreciation.
Qin Wan stood up, walked over to him, and sat on his lap.
“What does Gege want to eat? I’ll feed you the same way I fed you the sea cucumber last time, okay?”
His fox-like eyes narrowed slightly, his smile looking particularly beautiful.
Gu Xinglan stared at the left corner of his mouth.
A tiny dimple had appeared there.
Gu Xinglan knew that this time, the little liar wasn’t faking a smile.
“Okay,” he uttered a single word. Within his deep, glass-like pupils, a thick wave of joy rippled.
“What do you want to eat?” Qin Wan asked.
As if he had planned this for a long time, Gu Xinglan immediately pointed his chin toward a certain spot on the table. “Fish maw.”
There sat a bowl of Double-boiled Fish Maw with Matsutake and Bamboo Fungus.
the palm-sized pieces of fish maw were stewed until they were soft, bouncy, and fragrant.
Qin Wan used his chopsticks to carefully lift a piece of fish maw from the soup.
He held it between his lips, then turned his head to lean closer to Gu Xinglan.
The temperature in Gu Xinglan’s eyes rose higher and higher. “Let’s eat it together.”
Qin Wan’s face was flushed pink as he nodded slightly.
He offered the other end of the fish maw to the man’s lips.
Gu Xinglan bit down on one end but didn’t seem intent on eating it. Instead, he pushed it further into Qin Wan’s mouth.
Qin Wan’s small mouth was suddenly occupied by the fish maw.
He quickly bit off a section and chewed, his lips still holding onto the back half of the fish maw to keep it from falling.
The difficulty of eating this way was quite high.
Gu Xinglan looked at the person right in front of him. That handsome, obedient, and cute face was magnified in his vision.
Those rosy lips were less than an inch away from him.
So beautiful, so tempting.
Gu Xinglan felt there was no longer any need to continue this meal.
Another kind of hunger had already swept through his entire body.
Applying a bit of force, he pushed the remaining half of the fish maw into Qin Wan’s mouth.
Then, taking advantage of the proximity, he pressed a kiss to his lips.
Holding the person on his lap, he stood up.
Qin Wan’s eyes widened. While still chewing, he asked in a muffled voice, “Eh? Gege, you’re not finishing dinner?”
Gu Xinglan licked his teeth, his gaze tinged with pure carnal desire. “We’re eating in the bedroom.”
Over the next two hours, Qin Wan finally understood the meaning of Gu Xinglan’s earlier paradox.
The man led him skillfully.
He progressed step by step.
He went from guiding him to letting him take control.
He taught him a brand-new skill.
Although it was a bit exhausting for Qin Wan, he really wanted Gu Xinglan to enjoy himself tonight.
From time to time, Gu Xinglan used a square handkerchief to wipe the sweat from the boy’s forehead and cheeks, and occasionally, he would gently kiss his lips.
By the time it was over, Qin Wan was like a glob of melted cream pudding, slumped weakly on the bed, unable to move a muscle.
Gu Xinglan’s gaze was as tender as water. He kissed the boy’s cheek repeatedly before finally getting up to go to the bathroom.
By the time he came out, Qin Wan had already fallen into a deep sleep.
Gu Xinglan tucked the thin quilt around him.
Checking the time, he changed his clothes and walked out of the bedroom.
Twenty minutes later, he met up with Li Ye and Fu Yunting at a bar.
Fu Yunting’s gaze scrutinized Gu Xinglan’s face, and he began to bluster loudly.
“A-Lan, look at that smug, ‘spring breeze’ look on your face. Did you just finish tumbling in the sheets with your little thug? Are you two in perfect harmony now?”
Li Ye laughed. “Yunting, is that something you should be prying into?”
Having said that, he looked over at Gu Xinglan.
Gu Xinglan gave a muffled laugh and took a sip of his drink.
“In the future, don’t call him ‘little thug.’ My Wanwan isn’t like that.”
The mouthful of champagne in Fu Yunting’s mouth almost sprayed out. “Huh? What was that? Did I hear you right?”
“A-Lan, what did you call him? Your Wanwan? Holy crap, holy crap…”
“Li Ye, quick, pinch me! Let me see if it hurts!”
Beside him, Li Ye reached out and gave his arm a sharp twist.
Fu Yunting cried out again, “Ow, ow! Li Ye, you really pinched me!”
Li Ye and Gu Xinglan both burst out laughing.
“Yunting, you should fix that loose tongue of yours. Otherwise, it’ll keep bringing trouble to your physical self,” Li Ye teased.
Fu Yunting’s handsome brows furrowed, and he looked at Gu Xinglan with eyes full of grievance and indignation.
He reached up to cover his neck. “A-Lan, the wound on my neck just barely healed. It still hurts a bit when I touch it!”
“Didn’t you say before that you were just playing around with him? How did you end up taking it seriously? You didn’t actually fall in love with that little thu—”
Gu Xinglan’s gaze swept over, and the word “thug” was forced back down Fu Yunting’s throat.
“…fall in love with that little baby, did you?” Fu Yunting pouted, his eyes full of displeasure.
Li Ye laughed. “Heh, even you called him a ‘little baby.’ Why can’t Xinglan fall in love with him?”
Gu Xinglan didn’t say anything, just took another sip of his drink.
However, in the shifting light of his eyes, there was a tenderness and affection that others had never seen before.
Li Ye stared into his eyes and smiled. “Xinglan, actually, you already know what you’re thinking, right?”
Gu Xinglan didn’t answer. He lowered his gaze slightly, and a smile played on the corners of his lips.
