Jiang Chenyan nodded lightly.
“That’s not right,” Luo De frowned slightly, his gaze searching his face repeatedly. “This face… why does it look a bit familiar?”
Jiang Chenyan lowered his eyes and remained silent, but his fingertips clenched tightly in his sleeves, his heart racing uncontrollably.
Luo De stared at him for a long time. A figure suddenly flashed in his mind. He frowned and instructed his subordinate: “Has his grade been tested? Is it confirmed he’s an Omega?”
“No… not yet…” the subordinate replied hurriedly.
“If it hasn’t been tested, then take him to test immediately!” Luo De straightened up and waved his hand for his men to take Jiang Chenyan away.
“You guys take him to test. I’ll wait at the door. Report as soon as the results are in.” He stared at Jiang Chenyan’s back. This person… always made him feel something was wrong. Was it the person he was thinking of?
Two men in black stepped forward and roughly pushed Jiang Chenyan deep into the passage.
Jiang Chenyan followed obediently, his gaze quietly scanning the markers along the way.
Soon, he was taken into a room filled with instruments. A cold needle tip pierced his arm to draw blood. A series of inspection procedures proceeded mechanically. He kept his eyes lowered the whole time.
An unknown amount of time passed before a printed report was handed out. Before Jiang Chenyan could see the contents clearly, Luo De, who was waiting outside, strode forward and snatched the report.
The moment he saw the results, his pupils constricted. The doubt on his face faded completely. Then, the corners of his mouth curled up uncontrollably, and his eyes glinted with unmasked excitement, “I didn’t expect you to be such a prize.”
He had actually encountered an Omega with an SS+ grade, a rarity so great it was almost non-existent.
This unexpected discovery made Luo De unable to hide his excitement. His whole body’s blood seemed to boil. He grabbed Jiang Chenyan’s wrist, “Lock him alone in a VIP cell. Watch him well. Take him directly for display tomorrow.”
As soon as these words were out, the subordinates were stunned. This was the first time they had encountered an Omega who didn’t need a month of training and could be arranged directly for display. For a moment, they looked at each other.
But there was also a faint guess in their heartsâit must be a high-grade Omega.
There had been a similar situation before, but an accident occurred. That Omega committed suicide, yet the gland was still sold at a high price.

Once everyone had left, Jiang Chenyan finally discarded his disguise and leaned tiredly against the cold wall.
The chains on his wrists and ankles made a dull sound with his movements. He raised his hand to touch the stud in his ear, “You two, I’m going to be taken for display tomorrow. According to the rules here, the next step after display is the auction. Can you sneak into the inner field?”
Kai Lan, at the other end of the surveillance, frowned and let out a helpless sigh: “You’re thinking too highly of me. The security level in the inner field is extremely high. Unless you have an invitation, you can’t get in at all.”
“I can.” Shen Shiyue suddenly spoke, interrupting Kai Lan.
Kai Lan turned to look at him abruptly, his face full of bewilderment: “?”

He truly didn’t want to be sold.

Shen Shiyue suddenly spoke, his voice very deep, “I won’t let anything happen to you.”

Seeing he wouldn’t eat, two guards immediately stepped forward. One pinned his shoulder, and the other forcibly pried open his jaw, roughly pouring the food into his mouth. Cold rice porridge choked into his windpipe. Jiang Chenyan coughed violently, and tears were forced out; he almost suffocated.
This was the first time he had been this useless.
Once in this lifetime, and only this once.
The long night was endured in a half-awake state. Early the next morning, he was dragged to the changing room.
When that nearly transparent thin gauze garment was tossed in front of him, Jiang Chenyan’s expression darkened instantly.
Soon, a male Beta nearly 1.9 meters tall and broad entered. He was the instructor responsible for training, a long, thin leather whip in his hand. The tip of the whip brushed against the floor, making a piercing sound.
“I know you’re a precious one, but the rules cannot be broken.” The man grinned, “During the display later, I’ll have to give you a few lashes to add some flavor. Only then can a higher price be fetched in tomorrow’s auction. You should understand this logic.”
“Right, first change your clothes and follow me onto the display stage.”
They always had such a rule here: bring out the “commodity” for display first to let the customers feast their eyes and bait them, then hold the auction the next day.
Jiang Chenyan looked at him silently, not moving.
Only when the man was losing his patience did he slowly speak, “I remember the display stage is an enclosed space. I can change in there.”
Hearing this, the man burst into loud laughter, “You look quite pure, but it turns out you’re that thirsty? Want to change in front of me?”
Jiang Chenyan pursed his lips tightly and remained silent throughout. Seeing this, the instructor just assumed he had accepted the arrangement and led him onto the display stage.
“Don’t dawdle, hurry and put it on.” He tossed that transparent garment at Jiang Chenyan’s feet and stood aside with his arms crossed to monitor.
He had coveted the Omega before him for a long time.
He couldn’t touch him, but feasting his eyes was fine, right?
Jiang Chenyan lowered his eyes to stare at the fabric on the ground, his fingertips turning white from exertion.
The next second, he suddenly leaned over, grabbed the garment, and slammed it hard against the man. Seizing the moment the other’s vision was blocked by the fabric, he bent his knees to build up force and kicked the man’s lower abdomen with a swift, fierce blow.
The man slammed heavily onto the floor, his mind going blank. He had actually been kicked over by a seemingly weak Omega?
Just as he propped himself up on the floor to resist, Jiang Chenyan had already strode forward and stepped firmly on his chest, forcing him to lie back on the floor.
Immediately following, fists laced with fury fell one after another, smashing hard into his face. Each punch was fast and fierce.
From the man’s perspective, that beautiful face before him was flushed with anger.
A sudden heat surged in his lower abdomen.
Nosebleed flowed down the side of his nose. The pain and inexplicable excitement intertwined, causing him to actually forget to resist, and he just stared blankly at the punching Jiang Chenyan.
Jiang Chenyan noticed something was wrong and stopped.
The other’s face was already black and blue from the beating.
But seeing him stop, the man actually showed an expression of dissatisfaction.
Jiang Chenyan’s brows furrowed. It seemed like the beating had made him feel good…
