Chapter 62: Saying “Thank You” Comes from the Heart
When Gu Xinglan returned to the villa bedroom, it was already late at night.
Walking to the bedside, he saw that Qin Wan was still in the same position he had been in when the man left, sleeping very deeply.
It seemed he was quite exhausted.
In terms of romance and intimacy, Qin Wan was as clean as a blank sheet of paper.
And his clever, transparent nature hadn’t been put to much use in this area.
He was a bit clumsy.
He couldn’t learn after being taught just once.
Fortunately, what little patience Gu Xinglan possessed was all spent on him.
He taught him patiently, over and over again.
And it was clear that Qin Wan sincerely wanted to make him happy.
He put in a lot of effort.
That was why he was so tired.
Gu Xinglan sat gently on the edge of the bed.
He lowered his gaze to scrutinize the boy’s side profile.
This face had never disappeared from his sight since it first appeared seven years ago.
Seven years was enough time to change many things, but the extremely clear, pure brightness and gentleness on his face had never changed.
Now, he was lying obediently in the man’s bed.
Allowing him to take whatever he wanted.
However, he knew in his heart that what he wanted was far more than this.
Although he liked the boy’s submission, that wasn’t everything.
He was greedy; he wanted more.
He wanted Qin Wan to belong to him completely, from body to soul.
He was also somewhat apprehensive.
After all, he had hurt him before.
He didn’t know if it was too late to make amends now.
Gu Xinglan leaned down and pressed gentle kisses to Qin Wan’s face.
From the cheek to the tip of the nose, then to the lips.
His movements were extremely light, not daring to wake him.
The more he kissed, the hotter the fire in his heart burned.
He quickly forced himself to stop.
He took a deep breath.
He took the tube of scar ointment out of the drawer.
He gently lifted the thin quilt covering Qin Wan and began applying it to his scars with extreme care.
Qin Wan’s eyelids fluttered slightly, and he let out a tiny, muffled groan.
Gu Xinglan quickly reached out and gently patted his shoulder.
Only then did the boy fall back into a deep sleep.
After the ointment was applied, Gu Xinglan took off his clothes and lay down quietly beside Qin Wan.
He reached out and gently pulled him into his arms. “Sweet dreams, Qin Wan baby…”
—
The next morning, Gu Xinglan took Qin Wan to Sheng’an Hospital.
Qin Wan stayed by Zhou Rong’s side without leaving for a second until the afternoon, when Zhou Rong was wheeled into the operating room.
After five long, anxious hours of waiting, the light above the operating room doors finally went out.
the doctor walked out.
Qin Wan rushed over. “Doctor, how is it?”
The doctor nodded. “Don’t worry, the surgery was a success.”
Hearing those words, the heart that had been suspended in Qin Wan’s chest finally settled back into place.
His body felt a bit weak.
Gu Xinglan, who was beside him, gently pulled him into his side, supporting him just in time.
Next, Zhou Rong was transferred to a special care ward. After waking up, she was in good condition and was moved back to the regular ward where she had stayed before.
Over the next few days, Gu Xinglan allowed Qin Wan to stay at the hospital every day.
Except for needing to return to the villa at night, he was with Zhou Rong all day.
Zhou Rong was in high spirits, and with a professional nursing team and a dedicated nutritionist taking care of her, her body recovered very quickly.
Qin Wan’s mood was also happier than ever before.
Auntie Rong’s illness had always been a massive boulder weighing on his chest.
Now that this stone had been moved aside, the sunlight of life shone in without obstruction, and Qin Wan as a whole regained his vitality.
Seeing more and more smiles on the boy’s small face, the person happiest besides Zhou Rong was Gu Xinglan.
In the evening, after showering and lying in bed, Gu Xinglan was applying medicine for Qin Wan.
The ointment Tan Feng had gotten earlier was finished; the results were indeed excellent.
Gu Xinglan immediately contacted Europe and, through some effort, had another box of ten tubes of ointment shipped over.
Actually, the injuries were mostly on his chest, so Qin Wan could have easily applied the medicine himself.
But since the first time, throughout these days, Gu Xinglan had always been the one to do it.
It seemed to have become a habit.
Qin Wan shed his pajamas.
He lay obediently beside the man.
Gu Xinglan squeezed out some ointment and applied it gently to his scars.
Even though he had done this action many times, he was still cautious, light-handed, and didn’t dare to be the least bit careless.
“Once these are all used up, your scars should disappear completely,” Gu Xinglan muttered softly.
“A-Wan, how about we try it on those old scars on your back too?”
Qin Wan pursed his lips. “It probably won’t work, right? It’s been so many years.”
“It doesn’t hurt to try.”
“Mhm, okay.”
Gu Xinglan’s fingers glided gently over Qin Wan’s fair skin.
He enjoyed this process; using the opportunity of applying medicine, he could touch the boy unscrupulously and legitimately.
Qin Wan’s body was soft, and his skin was delicate.
As Gu Xinglan applied the ointment gently, he said, “A-Wan, tomorrow I’ll take you to Li Ye’s restaurant. It has three Michelin stars; it’s quite good. He’s also a gentle person.”
“If you think it’s okay, you can learn cooking from him there.”
“The little cake I brought you at the hospital last time was made by him.”
Qin Wan’s eyes lit up. “Oh, that’s wonderful!”
As he spoke, his small face was filled with a happy smile.
Gu Xinglan put the ointment down and leaned over slightly, his gaze scrutinizing the boy’s face.
“Aren’t you going to say something to me?”
Within his deep phoenix eyes, a thick, burning warmth and desire was currently brewing.
Qin Wan’s long eyelashes lowered slightly.
“Thank you, Gege.”
Gu Xinglan’s brow furrowed slightly. “That sounds like it’s not sincere enough. Qin Wan, think about it and show some sincerity.”
The corners of his lips curved slightly.
His smile was wicked and bewitching, without any concealment.
Qin Wan reached out his arms and hooked them around the man’s neck.
He lifted his upper body slightly.
The eyelids of his exquisite fox-like eyes pressed down slightly, and a seductive posture radiated from within the beautiful contours of his eyes.
“Gege, saying thank you comes from the heart.”
“However, words still aren’t as direct as actions.”
He spoke softly, and his hands applied a bit of force to pull the man forward, pressing his lips against the man’s.
Through the deep study of linking theory and practice during this time, Qin Wan’s kissing technique still hadn’t shown any obvious progress.
His kisses were still quite haphazard.
However, Gu Xinglan had long since become obsessed with this kind of casual, messy kissing.
He was deeply obsessed and unable to pull himself out.
Perhaps it was exactly because this kind of kissing didn’t follow a routine that gave Gu Xinglan a feeling that Qin Wan’s kisses were specially tailored for him.
A messy kiss that belonged exclusively to him.
Gu Xinglan deeply enjoyed Qin Wan’s kiss.
It was like a tiny spark thrown into a room full of dry wood.
In an instant, a raging fire was ignited.
Gu Xinglan tightly wrapped his arms around Qin Wan’s waist and deepened the kiss infinitely.
It was clearly initiated by Qin Wan, but he was soon counter-attacked by Gu Xinglan.
The assault was aggressive, like a violent storm.
Gu Xinglan’s lips moved from the boy’s mouth to his neck, and all the way down.
Even though his consciousness was on the brink of collapse, he could still skillfully and carefully avoid the scars on the boy’s body.
“Wan-bao, call me Laogong,” his voice was raspy and low.
Qin Wan’s small face was red all the way to his neck, and his upper body turned slightly pink from the man’s passionate kisses.
His lips moved, but he didn’t make a sound.
“Be good, call me Laogong—”
Seeing that he still hadn’t made a sound, Gu Xinglan’s actions became even more fierce.
Qin Wan’s body trembled slightly.
He could no longer hold out. “…Laogong—”
Gu Xinglan was satisfied.
“Laopo, I love you…”
Translator’s Note: Phew! The tension is getting thick! “Wan-bao” is a cute pet name (Wan-Baby), and “Laopo” means Wife. Gu Xinglan finally said the three magic words! I wonder how Qin Wan really feels about it. Also, three Michelin stars? Our boy Qin Wan is getting the best training possible.
