Oh man, Yue Zhongxian is a master of the “Green Tea” technique! For those unfamiliar, “Green Tea” (ē»æč¶ – lĒchĆ”) is internet slang for someone who acts innocent, weak, and sweet to manipulate others or make their rivals look like villains.
Also, poor John the Peacock… he literally tried to “spread his tail” (show off his wealth and muscles) only to get wine-baths and “Green Tea-d” into a corner. And Xiao Mi and the restaurant robot? I think we can all guess whoās “upgrading” them behind the scenes!
- Cotton Candy/Marshmallows (ę£č±ē³ – miĆ”nhuÄ tĆ”ng): In Chinese, this term is used for both. Given Miantang’s name (Tang = Sugar/Candy), it’s a cute play on words.
- Male Daji (ē·å¦²å·± – nĆ”n dĆ”jĒ): Daji was a legendary fox spirit consort known for her extreme beauty and for leading a king to ruin. Calling Lu Sili a “Male Daji” is a way of saying he’s dangerously seductive.
