Chapter 94: Little Tang-Bean Cried by Ye Xiansheng’s Anger
Su Tang had barely stepped out of the room when Ye Chiyu came to pick him up. The person who had just done something bad looked back guiltily, and only after confirming the bedroom door was closed did he smile and reach out his hand.
Even a short distance from the room to the dining room required him to pick the person up; Ye Chiyu’s wife-doting behavior made Wen Lang scoff, but he immediately followed suit and forcefully took his Yangyang’s hand.
“Why are your hands so cold?”
Ye Chiyu frowned as soon as he held Su Tang’s hand. The little Omega’s hands were ice-cold, yet he was a little guy who was sensitive to heat. He supported Su Tang’s lower back, his puzzled gaze roaming over Su Tang for quite a while.
“I don’t know…”
Su Tang’s expression faltered. The person who usually got caught immediately when lying in front of the Alpha finally displayed his professional quality as an actor. His gaze didn’t even shift, and he even puckered his lips quite aggrievedly.
“My hands are cold. Ye Xiansheng, hold them a bit longer…”
Acting spoiled again.
Ye Chiyu was most susceptible to his little pregnant husband’s tactics. As soon as Su Tang spoke, his heart softened completely, and he nodded in agreement.
During the meal, Su Tang and Ning Yang continued to chatter incessantly. Even though the two best friends kept in touch daily via phone, they still had endless topics when meeting in person.
Ning Yang talked about his experiences abroad, and Su Tang shared interesting things that had happened around him lately. It was back and forth, with no gap in the conversation.
“Tangtang, have some soup first.” The brothers, Ye Chiyu and Wen Lang, didn’t have as much to say; they only chatted occasionally while their attention remained glued to their respective Omegas.
Just as he was talking until his throat was dry, Su Tang obediently finished the corn and pork rib soup in front of him and suddenly sneezed.
“A-choo!”
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”
The little guy had basically never been sick since getting pregnant, except for a fever when he was four months along. Ye Chiyu remembered that it also started with a sneeze, so he immediately grew alert.
“No, just an itchy nose.” Su Tang rubbed his nose, suddenly feeling a bad premonition.
His accomplice, Ning Yang, saw his chopsticks tremble as he picked up food. He glanced guiltily at Ye Chiyu and quickly retracted his gaze. His small movements were seen perfectly by Wen Lang, who was already a seasoned expert at reading people.
“Yangyang, what did you and Sister-in-law do in the room just now?”
Wen Lang tugged on Ning Yang’s sleeve and asked in a voice only the two of them could hear.
“Uh…”
Ning Yang was uncharacteristically caught off guard by Wen Lang’s preemptive question. He avoided his gaze and replied, “Don’t ask.”
After dinner, the two didn’t stay long at the Ye residence. Primarily, Su Tang couldn’t stop sneezing after that first one. Ning Yang was sitting on pins and needles, terrified that Tang-bao would fall ill and he would be held responsible by association.
“Tang-bao, your bro has to go. You must hang in there, don’t catch a cold!”
Ning Yang stood at the door whispering in Su Tang’s ear as he saw them off. Su Tang sneezed again, his nose turning bright red.
“Don’t worry. I won’t sell you out. Safe travels.”
Having seen off Ning Yang and Wen Lang, Su Tang was immediately pressed onto the sofa by an ill-tempered Ye Chiyu, who then instructed the housekeeper behind him, “Call the doctor.”
“Ye Xiansheng…”
Su Tang held his belly and sat obediently on the sofa, not daring to move. His thin bangs hung over his forehead, and his beautiful eyes shimmered with unease. He felt that the secret was about to be exposed; his secret A/C blast was likely going to be uncovered.
He hoped his body would be strong; please don’t let a short time in the A/C turn into a fever.
Su Tang prayed silently. Unable to resist, he looked up secretly at the silent Alpha.
Ye Xiansheng looked so fierce like this.
He didn’t even acknowledge him when called.
Su Tang rubbed his nose. When the doctor came over from the auxiliary building, he called “Ye Xiansheng” a few more times tentatively. Ye Chiyu heard him, but only stood before him with crossed arms, staring at him until the little Omega wished he could find a hole to crawl into.
“A-choo—!”
The doctors and nurses at home were all specifically hired by Ye Chiyu after the pregnancy. Su Tang sneezed again. The doctor had the nurse draw some blood and began the routine inquiry.
“Mr. Su, were you exposed to cold or did you sweat excessively today?”
Just as Su Tang was about to quibble and cover it up, Ye Chiyu spoke before him: “He secretly blasted the A/C for a while and caught a chill.”
Su Tang immediately became honest.
So that was it. Dr. Zheng understood and prescribed some cold medicine safe for pregnancy as a backup. He instructed Ye Chiyu to monitor Su Tang’s condition at all times and then left, leaving Su Tang, who was curled up like a quail holding his belly on the sofa, and the cold-faced Alpha staring at each other.
“Ye Xiansheng, I was wrong. Please don’t ignore me, okay?”
Ye Chiyu rarely truly got angry with him. Su Tang was anxious, self-reproachful, and a bit panicked.
Ye Chiyu gave his little Omega a complex look, gave an Mhm, and then stopped speaking.
The little thing was too disobedient, always disregarding his own health.
His attempt at starting a conversation having failed, Su Tang was dejected for a while. Reclining on the sofa, he looked at the Alpha sitting beside him one moment and stared at his belly where the fetus was moving the next. Before long, he had exhausted himself physically and mentally and somehow fell asleep on the sofa.
Ye Chiyu sighed, picked him up, and placed him back on the bed. He didn’t get into bed himself, only sat on the lounge chair beside it watching Su Tang nap.
Su Tang slept through the afternoon. After waking up, his body showed no further abnormalities. Although Ye Chiyu still took perfect care of the Omega, he basically didn’t speak. Su Tang felt miserable.
Just when the couple thought everything was fine, the Omega developed a fever.
A pregnant Omega with a fever cannot use medication casually. After Dr. Zheng came to check, he only instructed Ye Chiyu to try physical cooling first to see if the fever would break. Simultaneously, he had to monitor the fluctuations in gland pheromones and provide Alpha soothing pheromones appropriately.
Su Tang lay weakly on the bed, his limbs limp and aching. His strength felt as if it had been drained. He felt he couldn’t catch his breath, his small face flushed bright red from the fever. He kept calling Ye Chiyu’s name, looking incredibly pitiful.
Without letting anyone else intervene, Ye Chiyu did everything himself, constantly wiping the feverish Omega’s sweat and changing for a new cold towel. After tossing and turning all night, Su Tang’s fever finally broke. The room was filled with the scent of both their pheromones.
Su Tang woke groggily from his dream. Seeing the bloodshot eyes of the Alpha, his heart ached. Ye Chiyu only said it was fine and coaxed him to sleep a bit longer.
Young people fall ill quickly and recover quickly. Su Tang was completely fine by noon the next day, but Ye Xiansheng still seemed to be angry with him. No matter how Su Tang tried to find a topic, the Alpha’s reaction was lukewarm, leaving Su Tang at a loss.
The indirect cold war lasted for about a week. Su Tang had been rebuffed several times. Likely fearing another brush-off, Su Tang didn’t even dare take the initiative to talk to Ye Chiyu anymore. After lunch, when Ye Chiyu went upstairs to handle business, he went back to the room alone.
“Baby, your Ye-Daddy is still angry. What should I do…”
Su Tang sat on the sofa by the window. Only when he was alone did he dare express his inner thoughts. Recalling Ye Xiansheng’s words and actions this past week, his nose suddenly twinged, and his eyes grew red.
Su Tang, who was usually the center of the Alpha’s attention and tenderness, felt empty inside, his chest feeling a dull ache.
The child in his belly gave a kick, hitting him squarely on the rib. Su Tang’s face turned pale. He held his belly, the pain causing him to break into a cold sweat. The sharp pain lasted about two minutes before subsiding. Su Tang looked up, his face pale, and called “Ye Xiansheng” in a daze.
Whether it was telepathy or something else, the bedroom door was suddenly pushed open from the outside. Ye Chiyu had come to the bedroom to get a USB drive, but he hadn’t expected to see a pale-faced Su Tang.
“Tangtang?! What’s wrong?!”
Seeing Su Tang like this, Ye Chiyu could no longer maintain his composure. He strode to Su Tang and held him in his arms, heart aching, while calling for the doctor.
“Mhm…”
Lying in the Alpha’s long-lost, familiar embrace, Su Tang suddenly felt even more miserable. His eyes were filled with crystalline tears, yet he refused to blink and let them fall.
The little guy who had just kicked his rib started punching and kicking in his belly again. This time he also accidentally kicked the rib; the force wasn’t great, but Su Tang still felt terrible. He let out a low whimper, looking very much like an injured animal licking its wounds alone, looking incredibly pitiful.
“It hurts…”
Su Tang frowned in pain. He was physically uncomfortable and mentally sad. The emotions accumulated over many days collapsed, and he actually began to try to break free from the Alpha’s embrace.
“You’re so mean, I don’t want you… I don’t want you anymore…”
Large tears fell without warning. Su Tang choked up, trying to push Ye Chiyu away.
The little guy’s emotions were clearly wrong. How could Ye Chiyu let Su Tang leave his embrace? He held him while quickly trying to soothe him.
“Tangtang, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have ignored you for so long. Where do you feel unwell? Tell me where it hurts, okay? Hm?”
He had regretted it long ago.
Initially, he indeed wanted Su Tang to learn a lesson. Later, when the little guy realized his mistake and apologized, he didn’t give him a way out, wanting Su Tang to never dare play with his health again. The result was that he overdid it; his little husband was hurt by him, to the point that in his time of discomfort, he didn’t even want his hug.
“My baby knew he was wrong, and I still gave you a cold face. It was my fault for making my Tangtang sad.”
“Waaaah…”
The Alpha’s apology calmed the collapsing Su Tang slightly. The doctor had arrived long ago but, under the Alpha’s signal, waited at the door without entering. When the little guy finally finished crying from exhaustion and finished his complaints, he entered to check him over. After confirming there were no major issues, Ye Chiyu finally felt at ease.
When everyone had left, Su Tang, whose eyes were swollen like walnuts from crying, gave the Alpha’s shoulder a fierce bite. After biting and seeing the slightly bleeding tooth marks, he started crying again.
“Waaaah, Ye Xiansheng is bleeding from my bite…”
Well, this was feeling sorry right after getting revenge.
Ye Chiyu gave a helpless smile, pulling him into his arms and kissing him for a long time.
