Chapter 98: Naming
On the third day after delivery, Su-mou-ren finally got to hold the cub he had born.
The little guy was huffing and puffing as he drank from a bottle in his daddy’s arms, using both hands and feet as if he wanted to stuff himself into the bottle. Looking at him, Su Tang’s eyes were practically sparkling.
Su Bing looked at Su Tang holding the child from the side, her eyes growing warm.
She didn’t know what Su Tang looked like when he was born; he was already a little boy when he was adopted. He had grown up obediently under her “oppression.”
If their parents could see this scene from above, they would surely be very happy.
“This child looks just like Ayu when he was little. The angles of the little nose and mouth are exactly the same. Those old guys will be dying of envy when they find out, haha.”
Wen Fanxing was held by Ye Sheng, studying his little grandson while looking at Ye Chiyu and smiling.
He hadn’t expected to become a grandfather in his fifties. Compared to his screenwriter friends of the same age, he was simply too happy. On the day the child was born, he called his old friends one by one to show off. After receiving a pile of “abuse” from them, he collected tens of millions in red envelopes and several real estate properties for his grandson.
“Hehe, looking like Ye Xiansheng is good. He’ll definitely be incredibly handsome when he grows up,” Su Tang replied happily, then muttered softly, “I don’t know what I looked like when I was little…”
In response, he received a gentle kiss on the forehead from the Alpha.
Ye Chiyu pinched his son’s cheek fat and looked at his little Omega, smiling. “My Tangtang’s eyes are so beautiful; our baby will surely look like you.”
One sentence coaxed Su Tang into a good mood, leaving Su Bing, who was thinking of comforting words in her head, momentarily speechless.
She knew her brother was easy to coax, but surely not to the extent that one action or sentence from this guy with the surname Ye would do the trick? This was making her lose face.
The two oblivious parties began a new round of teasing the cub. The whole family turned around the little guy for a long while before realizing they hadn’t decided on a name.
Ye Sheng, who had been holding his wife and looking at his grandson, gave a cough under Su Tangâs sigh, drawing everyone’s attention. He calmly pulled a piece of paper from his suit pocket.
“I knew you two were heartless and only cared about being lovey-dovey, forgetting to name my grandson. Your dad and I already chose some; see which one is suitable and use it.”
Having said that, he placed a full A4 sheet of paper on the coffee table. Ye Chiyu picked it up to look; good heavens, there were dozens of names for both boys and girls.
Su Tang’s eyes widened in amazement. “Wow, you thought of so many names. Dad and Father are amazing!”
“Thank you, Dad. Thank you, Father,” Ye Chiyu said to Ye Sheng and Wen Fanxing.
“No need for thanks,” Wen Fanxing smiled. “These were all thought of while your father and I were bored at home. I don’t know if they fit the tastes of young people; why don’t you two have a good look?”
Just as Wen Fanxing finished speaking, the little guy who was just huffing and puffing while drinking milk let go of the pacifier. His chubby little finger suddenly poked a spot on the paper full of names, pointing right at a boy’s name.
“Hahaha, it seems our son has his own ideas!” Su Tang looked at the name and looked up at his Alpha gleefully.
“Mhm. Let’s call him Ye Zhiyi.”
Chapter 99
After being given his name, little Ye Zhiyi turned out to be incredibly easy to care for and possessed a cheerful disposition. It reached a point where even the various aunts and grandmothers in their social circle were amazed by him.
The little cub spent every day clutching his milk bottle, giggling non-stop. He instantly became the most popular member of the entire family. If Ye Chiyu hadn’t forbidden it, even Wen Lang would have wanted to take his nephewâwho wasn’t even a month oldâback to his own home to raise him.
As a pair of first-time fathers, the novice couple lacked experience. They naturally assumed that all newborns were as well-behaved and adorable as their own child. It wasn’t until Su Tang had a video call with Tan Meng and heard the absolute caterwauling of little Wen Wan in the background, accompanied by Wen Xun’s frantic and helpless attempts at soothing, that he realized just how angelic his son was.
With his post-pregnancy comeback in mind, Su Tang didn’t disappear from social media for too long. On the day little Ye Zhiyi turned exactly one month old, he posted a Weibo update. He attached a photo of the baby’s chubby little hand along with a group photo of himself and Ye Chiyu.
[Long time no see, everyone! Iâve recently given birth to a super, super cute little cub. I hope to see you all again as soon as possible with a new work.]
Su Tang hadn’t posted an update in a while, so this Weibo undoubtedly caused a massive reaction on a platform that had been starved of major entertainment news. After all, no one expected that such a young actorâwho had reached his peak right at debutâwould so decisively set aside his top-tier popularity to focus on his pregnancy for several months without a single peep.
Keen-eyed fans had already sniffed out the scent of a new project. Even without any insider information, they began showering his Weibo comments with “rainbow farts” and expressions of anticipation. Other passersby and “melon-eaters” simply found their eyes thoroughly blessed by the high visual caliber of the couple in the photo.
Wen Fanxingâs scriptwriting had been off and on, as he hadn’t personally penned a script in a long time. Once he started, however, he found himself unable to stop. He reached a state where he was nearly forgetting to eat and sleep. If Ye Sheng hadn’t been supervising him from the sideâmaking sure he didn’t stay up late and ate his meals on timeâhe likely would have worked himself right into a hospital bed.
After much effort, the resulting work was exceptionally high quality. When Wen Fanxing handed the script to Su Tang, he gave a candid smile.
“Tangtang, perform it well.”
This was the best work he had written in recent years. Although his writing was no longer as sharp as it was in his youth, it was exactly as he had said before: this character was the most suitable for Su Tang. He believed that Su Tang would not let him down.
“Thank you, Ba-ba.”
Su Tang took the script from Wen Fanxing with some confusion. The moment his eyes fell upon the pen name, they widened. He suddenly understood what the “grand gift” Wen Fanxing had mentioned before truly meant.
The mysterious, top-tier screenwriter of the industry, Zhi Fan Ye Mao, was actually his Ba-ba!
The script, over a hundred pages long, wasn’t physically heavy, yet Su Tang felt as if it weighed a thousand pounds in his hands.
Even that evening, when Ye Chiyu returned from the company and they gathered around the cradle to watch their son drink milk, he was still in a daze.
“Tangtang,” Ye Chiyu noticed Su Tangâs sleepwalking expression. He couldn’t resist plucking a stray tuft of hair sticking up from the little Omega’s head and laughed. “What are you dazing about? You’re so lost in thought.”
“Ah…”
Su Tang was still a bit muddled. He looked at his visually pleasing Ye Xiansheng, then glanced at his increasingly adorable son, and murmured, “Just what kind of immense luck have I, Su Tang, stumbled into…”
Chapter 100: Regarding Luck
The kind-hearted person he met during his heat became his Xiansheng; he had such a cute son and a family that loved him; even his Ba-ba was Zhi Fan Ye Mao, and he had personally written a script for him!
Ye Chiyu had heard from Ye Sheng about Wen Fanxing coming over this afternoon to deliver the script to Su Tang, but he hadn’t expected his little guy’s reaction to last this long.
The little Omega didn’t seem to care whether the Alpha responded to him. He blinked blankly, then suddenly laughed. He looked up and leaned in to give Ye Chiyu a very sincere kiss.
The Alpha thoroughly enjoyed the proactive “fragrant kiss.” In the nursery, the sound of the baby sucking on his milk bottle was joined by the ambiguous sounds of lips and teeth intertwining. Before long, the proactive little Omega had his initiative seized by the Alpha. Their posture changed from one standing behind the other to Su Tang clinging onto Ye Chiyuâs body.
“Tangtang, you smell so good.”
Ye Chiyu kissed his little Omega greedily. His high nose bridge rubbed against Su Tangâs soft cheek before lingering at the Omega’s neck.
He couldn’t touch Su Tang during late pregnancy, and he didn’t dare touch him too soon after the delivery for fear of hurting Su Tangâs unrecovered body. Even if he had used other methods to resolve his needs, it would be a lie to say he didn’t want him.
Having gone without “meat” for too long, this little scuffle caused the usually calm and self-restrained Ye Chiyu to have unstable breathing. Leaving his son to the side, he carried Su Tang horizontally into the bedroom next door.
The rain, carrying the enchanting charm of spring, embraced the wind.
“Ye Xiansheng, Iâm truly so lucky, so happy…”
The little Omegaâs misty eyes were filled with Ye Chiyuâs reflection. He held his Ye Xiansheng, his body covered in the scent of Ye Chiyuâs pheromones. The fine beads of sweat on the tip of his nose sparkled under the light, making the Alphaâs throat tighten.
His sexy Adamâs apple slid up and down. Ye Chiyu laughed as he rubbed his nose against Su Tangâs, whispering a chuckle into his ear.
“It seems my performance today was quite good.”
“Mhmâ!”
The serious Ye Xiansheng was actually talking dirty!
Su Tangâs face burned intensely. With his ears bright red, he covered his face and burrowed into the quilt.
“It’s not that,” he complained with a puckered face, then shook his head and explained as he saw the Alphaâs expression darken slightly, “I didn’t mean it that way. Ye Xiansheng, you… um, you’re very great. But I meant, I meant…”
“I meant, being able to meet you, Ye Xiansheng.”
“I must have saved the galaxy in my past life to be this lucky in this one.”
Within the pair of eyes peeking out from the quilt, absolute happiness flowed. Ye Chiyu couldn’t resist patting the little Omega’s head through the blanket.
His baby would likely never know just how long he had plotted for that “accident.”
“Itâs actually me who is lucky to have met my little Su Tang.”
The Alpha leaned down, scooped the little person out of the quilt, and pulled him into an embrace, reluctant to let go for a long time.
He was his salvation.
The miraculous physician who had pulled the thorn from his heart and stopped the bleeding.
“Ye Xiansheng, you seem unhappy.” Noticing a flash of loneliness in the Alphaâs eyes, Su Tang was somewhat confused.
This was how he was in front of Ye Chiyuâhe never hid any of his emotions or concern. Such sincerity was, for that reason, incredibly precious.
