Chapter 101: Mm-hmm Mm-hmm
“Am I being very blunt?” Wen Ling was even more confused. He felt he was already using relatively formal and proper language with Jiji; he was already holding back. When Wen Ling spoke to Cheng Ge, he didn’t care about anything. “Then, will Cheng Ge like it if I’m this ‘fierce’?”
“Huh? Prob—Probably…” Jiji’s shoulders were shaking from laughter. Who would say they were “fierce”? “It should be fine. You’re so cute, he’ll definitely like it.”
“Mm-hmm.” Wen Ling nodded, thinking that was good. He just wanted Cheng Ge to like him a little bit more.
Returning to the main topic, Jiji helped Wen Ling speculate. “Could your boyfriend be… sexually cold?” After all, once every two months was indeed a bit little.
“Or maybe, possibly, perhaps he’s… a bit ‘weak’?” After saying it, he felt it wasn’t very nice, so he immediately added, “I’m just talking nonsense! Not necessarily…”
Wen Ling knew what “sexually cold” meant—it meant a decrease in desire. He hadn’t thought about it in relation to Cheng Ge before, but now that Jiji mentioned it, it seemed it could really be applied to Cheng Ge.
In the beginning, Cheng Ge had been so frequent; he would agree to anything. But then it had gradually become less frequent, finally becoming once every one or two months. Didn’t that fit perfectly?
Could it be…
Wen Ling’s brow furrowed, his eyes losing their roundness. “It really seems to be the case. What should I do?”
Jiji’s lip twitched slightly. “Are you saying he’s ‘sexually cold’ or ‘weak’?”
Wen Ling was dead serious, so worried he barely had any energy left. He said in a tiny voice, “Sexually cold. Cheng Ge is sexually cold.”
How could Cheng Ge possibly be weak? Even if he himself were weak, Cheng Ge wouldn’t be.
And so, the two of them began to look for reasons behind the problem of Cheng Ge’s sexual frigidness. They thought and thought.
Jiji: “Is he under a lot of pressure usually?”
Wen Ling thought for a moment and said, “He’s very busy sometimes.”
Jiji: “Do you get along harmoniously usually?”
Wen Ling: “Cheng Ge is especially good to me. There were only a few days when he was just so-so.”
“Do you fight?”
“We don’t fight.”
“If 10 is a full score, how many points would you give his love for you?”
“10 points,” Wen Ling said, but then he changed his words. “Maybe a little bit more than 9.9.”
Cheng Ge said he liked him the most, but he didn’t say he only liked him. So, Wen Ling had to leave 0.1 or a little less for others.
But that made things difficult. Jiji couldn’t figure it out. If he liked him that much, how could he hold back? Surely he couldn’t actually be weak?
“Do you communicate a lot usually?” Jiji asked again. “By the way, are things ‘harmonious’ when you do… that?”
Wen Ling blinked, wondering what “that” was. When he realized, he said, “I feel very comfortable.”
That one sentence made Jiji’s face turn bright red. He really hadn’t expected Wen Ling to be such a blunt person. “What about your boyfriend?”
“I, I didn’t ask. I feel like he was also comfortable. Maybe I should ask next time.”
“Do as you see fit.” Jiji was grinning with a red face, feeling that Wen Ling’s boyfriend was simply blessed.
The two of them continued their discussion and finally reached a conclusion: it might be because the two of them lacked a sense of freshness and surprise, and their level of intimacy wasn’t enough. Next, they began to discuss a response plan.
Initially, Jiji taught Wen Ling that he could sometimes act spoiled. He could use a softer, more drawn-out tone when speaking to his boyfriend. That way, Cheng Ge wouldn’t be able to help being intimate with him.
Wen Ling tried to learn it a couple of times but couldn’t. His voice always had a sense of coldness and distance, so the “acting spoiled” plan was out.
But what neither of them knew was that Wen Ling’s voice would naturally become softer in front of Cheng Ge. Moreover, in Cheng Ge’s eyes, every one of his moves looked like he was acting spoiled.
Next, they talked about giving small gifts and creating small surprises, which led to those carefully designed and framed drawings.
Jiji guaranteed: “He’ll definitely be very touched. Then, maybe he won’t be able to hold back… Hehehehe.”
Wen Ling was also infected by Jiji, and he followed Jiji in laughing—something he rarely did—though it wasn’t quite as lewd.
The sight of the two of them laughing together gave Zhao Zhishen quite a fright when he returned to the dorm, thinking they had both been possessed.
In addition, Jiji said something about “When a couple is of one mind, their sharpness can cut through gold.” Mutual help and joint effort were more conducive to harmony in a relationship.
Wen Ling never usually thought about these things, but because Jiji suddenly mentioned it, he thought about how Cheng Ge usually did everything. Ordering takeout and going out always involved using Cheng Ge’s money. That didn’t seem reasonable.
So, he put two thousand yuan into the supermarket card. Cheng Ge would cook, and he would pay. How great.
Although there were sometimes many hiccups, overall, Wen Ling was following Jiji’s “romance secrets” quite well…
Cheng Ge placed the first drawing at the very bottom, then carefully stacked the other drawings and closed the lid.
Since it was noon, very few people came to the park for a walk. The area around the pavilion was quiet, with only the occasional sound of insects.
Sunlight shone directly on the ground. The light outside the pavilion was blinding, and just looking at it made one feel stifled by the heat. However, it was cool inside the pavilion, the temperature was pleasant, and the breeze was gentle.
All things considered, this really was a place with memory points and romance.
The gift box was placed on the stone table. Cheng Ge and Wen Ling stood side by side by the railing of the small pavilion. Neither spoke, yet the atmosphere wasn’t awkward; it was a moment of quiet beauty.
Cheng Ge noticed that Wen Ling’s hand, resting against his thigh, was very restless. His fingers would rub together from time to time, or he would pick at his thigh or the railing.
Every time Cheng Ge saw these small movements of Wen Ling’s, he couldn’t help but smile. The way his little thoughts were laid bare even when he thought he was hiding them well was especially endearing.
“Hey, Comrade Xiao Wen,” Cheng Ge nudged Wen Ling’s arm with his elbow, his voice slow and lazy. “Don’t you think we should have a kiss or something?”
Wen Ling looked at Cheng Ge and nodded frantically, his glassy eyes very bright. “Mm-hmm mm-hmm!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Cheng Ge cupped the back of Wen Ling’s head and kissed him—a deep, lingering kiss.
Wen Ling was extremely excited. His hands scratched against Cheng Ge’s chest, and every cell in his body was screaming wildly.
Wen Ling had been waiting for Cheng Ge to kiss him. Cheng Ge had been dawdling for so long that he’d almost thought Jiji was wrong. He hadn’t expected it to be true; Cheng Ge was so proactive today. It seemed giving small surprises really was the right move.
But what Wen Ling didn’t know was that Cheng Ge had been wanting to kiss him for a long time.
Cheng Ge wanted to laugh from Wen Ling’s scratching. He pinned down the other’s misbehaving hands. “Why do you have so many small movements?”
“I can’t help it.” Wen Ling was unhappy when Cheng Ge stopped, his eyes losing their roundness as he looked aggrieved. “Then I’ll try my best not to scratch.”
Cheng Ge was still laughing. With one hand, he encircled both of Wen Ling’s wrists, and with the other, he tilted Wen Ling’s chin up, lowering his head to kiss him once again.
After the kiss, both of them were breathing heavily, especially Wen Ling. His chin was resting on Cheng Ge’s shoulder, his chest heaving rapidly.
“Why are you so agitated?” Cheng Ge smoothed Wen Ling’s back. “You’re too excited, aren’t you?”
Cheng Ge found it strange. They kissed almost every day, and lingering kisses like this weren’t rare. Wen Ling shouldn’t be this excited, right?
Wen Ling’s arms were around Cheng Ge’s waist, his head buried in Cheng Ge’s shoulder as he gave a muffled “mm.”
How could he not be excited?
A kiss like this already made Wen Ling very agitated, and that little sense of accomplishment made him even more excited. Wen Ling’s thoughts had already flown to the nine heavens…
