Can’t Escape After Online Dating with the Gloomy Yandere chapter 5

Chapter 5: I Want to Break Up

The phone vibrated again—a call from Shi He.

At this time, it was morning in Country M.

Ruan Zhimian took the phone out to the hallway to answer.

In the afternoon, sunlight passed through the floor-to-ceiling curtains in the hallway, softly illuminating his silhouette. The little beauty with black hair and snowy skin lowered his soft, warm eyes. “Gege, good morning.”

“I was busy just now. Has Gege eaten breakfast?”

He sounded incredibly obedient, but he wasn’t obedient at all.

The Alpha, who had just woken up not long ago, stood before the washstand. His dark, narrow eyes lifted slightly, and his voice carried a hint of raspiness. Faint amber pheromones scattered around, gradually becoming richer.

On the phone screen were photos of Ruan Zhimian entering and leaving the school and the clubhouse just now.

“No.”

Having just taken a cold shower, Shi He picked up a towel and wiped his still-dripping hair, methodically fastening his hearing aid.

“Are you going to eat now?”

“Going to the company to eat.”

“Gege is so busy.”

“Almost done with the busy period.”

“Baby, did you sleep well?”

Ruan Zhimian’s memory of yesterday was a complete blank. His thick lashes blinked in confusion. “I slept for a long time. Yesterday… I drank a small glass of wine and was still dizzy when I woke up.”

“Mianmian secretly drank alcohol?”

“I drank because of Gege… Gege wanted to see the little dress.”

The little cat was clever enough to immediately push the responsibility onto Shi He. In the next breath, he softened his tone, as if trying to rub his fluffy head against Shi He’s fingers. “Does Gege have insomnia again?”

“Because I had a video call with Mianmian, I slept very well.”

Ruan Zhimian was stunned for a moment. The tips of his ears turned even redder. Does a video call with me have that effect?

What should he do? He didn’t want to video chat with Shi He every night.

Ruan Zhimian’s voice stopped. One didn’t even need to guess to know what he was thinking.

The Alpha’s handsome, dark phoenix eyes tilted slightly. His habitually calm voice became exceptionally gentle, and he sounded a bit pitiful. “Mianmian, don’t you want to video chat with me?”

“I know, Mianmian is very busy. I can’t cling to Mianmian all day.”

Of the thirty-six stratagems, fleeing is the best.

The silly cat’s eyelashes trembled. If they chatted for a few more sentences, he would probably agree again. “Gege, I’m out for a part-time job. The store manager is calling me. I have to go get busy.”

Right at this moment, an Alpha who had been observing for a long while from not far away walked over and pulled out his phone. “Hello, can I add your contact info?”

“You are very beautiful. I want to—”

Ruan Zhimian froze and looked up: “???”

He looked at the phone, which was still on the call, raised his hand to signal a rejection, and turned to walk back to the private room. The other person wanted to follow, but the security at the door of the room stopped him, not allowing him to approach.

When he looked at his phone again, the Alpha had already hung up and only sent a message.

[Gege: Our Mianmian really is very popular. I know many people like Mianmian. I’m different; only Mianmian likes me.]

[Baby: Gege, I didn’t give it to him.]

[Gege: I believe baby. I heard from a friend that many people have been scamming others through online dating lately. Baby, don’t give your contact info to others randomly.]

Fortunately, Teng Yu had gone to handle some work, so he was the only one in the room. Ruan Zhimian pressed his forehead against a cushion. His whole body turned red, and his eyelashes were even wet.

[Qiuqiu, I want to break up.]

[I’m doing Shi He wrong. I don’t want to lie to him.]

Wooo, he was so bad.

After a long, long time, Ruan Zhimian hugged Qiuqiu and poked his head out dejectedly, wiping the tears from the corners of his eyes.

[Baby: I only like Gege alone.]

[Baby: Tonight… I’ll coax Gege to sleep.]

Looking at the black-clothed glutinous rice ball, he was still a good kid at heart.

When Shi He, dressed in a suit, left the hotel for the company, he received Ruan Zhimian’s message and a photo of Han He’an appearing at the entrance of the clubhouse.

In just an instant, Shi He’s expression became hard to read.

As the car drove out, a faint voice echoed from inside the vehicle. “Assistant Chu, would someone say they like you while meeting someone else?”

Assistant Chu: “??”

What kind of question is this?

However, no matter. An excellent special assistant could perfectly resolve the boss’s questions.

“President Shi, I’ve never been in a relationship.”

Assistant Chu smiled. “But as far as I know, there are many situations for meeting someone. It could be an arrangement by parents or for business.”

He saw Shi He’s eyelids droop as he said indifferently, “You’re right.”

Assistant Chu: “?”

He convinced himself just like that?

Who on earth did Shi He encounter?

Ruan Zhimian curled up on the leather sofa in the clubhouse and watched a movie with the newly returned Teng Yu. He held a cup of warm red date honey tea in his hands. His eyelids gradually began to fight. Teng Yu lightly covered Ruan Zhimian with a blanket.

From outside the room came the sound of knocking.

“Enter.”

Han He’an, who had come to pick up Yin Feng from work and couldn’t find him, had come looking.

Ruan Zhimian opened his eyes and saw Han He’an—who hadn’t found the person after searching around—appearing before him. His habitually hypocritical mask had cracked, and he couldn’t maintain his look of deep affection and gentleness.

That was the sense of losing control when a toy escapes its constraints… as well as feeling angry at Yin Feng’s silent departure…

Ruan Zhimian tilted his head. His snowy-white small face lifted, and his dark eyes showed confusion. “He’an-gege, is something the matter?”

“Mianmian, have you seen Yin Feng?”

“Who is Yin Feng?”

Teng Yu, standing to the side, “kindly” reminded him, “The waiter from just now.”

Ruan Zhimian pinched his own fingers. “Oh. I saw that he had many injuries on his body and still had to keep working, so I asked him if he was in any trouble and if he wanted me to call the police.”

“He only said someone in his family was sick. I gave him money and told him to take good care of his family.”

“He’an-gege, do you know him?”

It sounded like there was no problem at all; it was even a good deed.

“I don’t. A friend of his couldn’t find him and asked me for help.” Han He’an suppressed his sinister look. “Mianmian, I have things to do at the company. You and Teng Yu play.”

He adjusted his smile. “For the birthday banquet tomorrow, I’ll come to pick you up.”

“Okay.”

Indeed, Ruan Zhimian had always been this willful.

If he had really discovered his relationship with Yin Feng, he would probably have caused a huge scene. A new cooperation between the Han family and the Ruan family was imminent; he couldn’t let a disobedient lover affect the company.

Though he had spent a lot of effort to get Yin Feng by his side in the first place.

How much money could Ruan Zhimian give? The illness of Yin Feng’s grandmother was a bottomless pit; he would eventually come back to beg him.

Once he had sucked Ruan Zhimian dry of all his value in the future, he would take it all back.

The door to the room closed. Ruan Zhimian lay back on the sofa and closed his eyes tiredly.

Lately, he always felt tired very easily. He had been taking the medicine to condition his body for a week, but it hadn’t had much effect. Did he need to take it for a longer time?

The lights were dim, and the volume of the speakers was turned low. Teng Yu focused on the screen.

A scent of lily of the valley, so light it was almost imperceptible, emanated from Ruan Zhimian’s body.
