Part 2

Yun Yingzhi frowned and instinctively wanted to follow them, but Elvis called out to him.

He reflexively looked at Elvis, then averted his eyes again.

At the same time, Wei Yuanqing called out his name.

Yun Yingzhi looked at Wei Yuanqing and met his dark green eyes.

Wei Yuanqing’s smile was just right, looking exceptionally gentle. He walked up to Yun Yingzhi, placed a hand on his shoulder, and asked, “Yingzhi, what happened that night?”

Yun Yingzhi’s brow twitched violently. His first thought was that he didn’t want to remember.

He didn’t want to, but his brain had a mind of its own. It automatically provided the answer: After getting drunk, he had a one-night stand with Prince Elvis without even knowing how it happened.

He thought again: he had completely lost his memory of that night. He hoped Prince Elvis wouldn’t come to interrogate him.

Yun Yingzhi frowned and said, “Senior Wei, that day…”

Yun Yingzhi: “…”

Mid-sentence, he suddenly found himself unable to speak. He remembered the rumors—he’d heard that one of Wei Yuanqing’s abilities was telepathy.

Panic-stricken, Yun Yingzhi immediately took two steps back to create a safe distance from Wei Yuanqing.

He wanted the events of that day to rot in the past, never to be mentioned again.

After all, he had forcibly slept with the Imperial Heir. Once Elvis decided to hold him accountable, he wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Right!

The Elvis he’d slept with was right here.

Yun Yingzhi looked at Wei Yuanqing and said, “Nothing happened that day.” Then, he shifted his gaze to Elvis and said, “Your Highness, I just remembered I have something very important to do. Let’s meet again when there’s a chance.” With that, he turned and sprinted out of the cafeteria.

The entire cafeteria fell into an eerie silence.

Someone broke the silence: “So… what exactly happened on the night of the mixer?”

Many people had some rather unpleasant thoughts in their minds.

As class time approached, Yun Yingzhi returned to his classroom. From time to time, classmates would ask: “Are you the battle-rabbit from the Yaoming Battle Arena?”

Yun Yingzhi forced himself to stay calm and denied it: “Of course not.”

His classmates looked at him with gazes that said, “Keep pretending.”

Yun Yingzhi felt a wave of guilt.

Some students asked with concern what had happened on the night of the mixer.

Yun Yingzhi glossed over it, saying nothing had happened.

Classes began, and his three roommates hadn’t returned.

During class, Yun Yingzhi secretly opened his terminal. He ignored the messages from others—mainly because they were asking if he was the currently sensationally popular battle-rabbit or if he was “Prince Elvis’s little darling.”

How was he supposed to answer that?

Even though he felt these questions were hard to answer, it didn’t stop him from having the thick skin to post a “lying through his teeth” update on his social feed. He said his second form looked nothing like the battle-rabbit at the Yaoming Arena, and most importantly, the battle-rabbit was an “elementary schooler,” and he was not.

After posting that shameless clarification, Yun Yingzhi felt refreshed.

And then…

He saw a group of classmates replying below.

[Hello, elementary schooler.]

[Hello, elementary schooler.]

Yun Yingzhi felt a lump in his throat and closed the app.

After a moment, he opened his friend list and asked his three roommates how they were doing.

They said they were still being lectured.

Before noon, the disciplinary results came out.

Yu Feiwen and the other two were each punished with a 5,000-word self-reflection essay, and the three of them were collectively responsible for cleaning the combat hall for a week.

Yun Yingzhi told them he would go and help them clean when the time came.

After the morning classes ended, the four of them sat in a row in the library, drafting their essays.

Besides the three of them, other students also had to write essays, though with fewer words—2,000 each.

Subtly, Yun Yingzhi heard a student whispering a complaint: “Man, if writing this essay were as easy as praising the cuteness of the School Beauty’s second form, I’d be writing at lightning speed.”

“If that were the case, forget 2,000 words—20,000 wouldn’t even be a problem!”

Suddenly, the hushed conversations stopped. Yun Yingzhi’s ears twitched; he heard footsteps.

His eyelids jumped. Looking up, he saw Elvis walking straight toward him.

Panic-stricken, he instinctively stood up from his seat.

The sound was a bit loud, and more people looked toward him. Following his gaze—which looked like he was staring at a prehistoric beast—they saw Elvis.

Elvis was getting closer and closer.

Yun Yingzhi said, “I’m going to the restroom,” and then dashed toward the restrooms.

Elvis frowned, shifted his direction, and followed him.

The moment Yun Yingzhi entered the restroom, he transformed into his second form, leaped out the window, and escaped.

Almost immediately after he ran away, Elvis entered the restroom. It was empty; no rabbit to be found.

Yun Yingzhi, who had reached the library through unconventional means, asked his three roommates if Elvis was still there.

After hearing that Elvis had actually followed him into the restroom, he felt incredibly lucky that he’d jumped out the window fast enough.

The three roommates asked in confusion why Yun Yingzhi was always avoiding Elvis.

Yun Yingzhi felt a lump in his throat. This question was truly hard to voice.

He couldn’t exactly tell them the truth: that he’d slept with Elvis while the Prince was asleep and then made off with his only set of clothes.

Afternoon.

Yun Yingzhi and his three roommates were walking toward the teaching building.

From a distance, Yun Yingzhi spotted Elvis. Almost instinctively, he transformed into a rabbit, curled into a tiny ball, and hid behind his three roommates.

The trio froze, looking back at the grumpy-faced little rabbit.

The rabbit was peeking sneakily toward Elvis.

Elvis was walking with someone in a military uniform. They were some distance away, so it was impossible to tell what they were talking about.

Suddenly, as if sensing something, Elvis looked in their direction.

Terrified, the rabbit immediately pulled back his peeking head. With a leap, he latched onto Yu Feiwen’s back with his paws and feet, ensuring Elvis couldn’t see him at all.

Almost by instinct, the three roommates stood in an unnatural huddle to hide the rabbit, intending to use their large adult bodies as a human wall to block the Prince’s view of the 30cm tiny frame.

From a distance, Elvis stared at them for a brief moment before looking away.

Only then did the three breathe a sigh of relief.

The cowardly rabbit remained latched onto Yu Feiwen’s back.

It wasn’t until Elvis had walked far away and Jing Haomiao said “The Prince is gone” that Yun Yingzhi hopped down and changed back to human form.

But at the same time, Yun Yingzhi received a notification on his terminal.

He opened it. The sender’s name was…

Elvis.

A question mark slowly formed in his brain.

When did he add Prince Elvis as a friend? Why did he have no memory of it at all? Thinking about it… had he forced Elvis to add him as a friend while he was pinning him to the bed?

Yun Yingzhi’s body swayed. Two roommates immediately supported him with concern, asking what was wrong.

Yun Yingzhi was in a daze.

He tried to calm his nerves and shook his head, saying it was nothing.

He looked at the message. Elvis was asking to meet.

His eyelids twitched. After a moment’s thought, he replied: I’m sorry, Your Highness. I’ve been very busy lately and don’t seem to have any time for now.

If he could, Yun Yingzhi really wanted to delete and blacklist Elvis in one go, but he didn’t dare.

After replying, he immediately and cowardly switched his terminal to “Do Not Disturb” mode.

In this mode, no messages could get through except from a few authorized people.

He didn’t know if Elvis continued to message him, but as long as he didn’t see it, he could pretend he knew nothing.

In the afternoon, Yu Feiwen and the others were going to the training hall—partly to clean and partly for special training.

Originally, Yun Yingzhi was supposed to go too, but his roommates vetoed it.

Not only would they not let him go to the training hall, but they also didn’t plan on going to the Yaoming Battle Arena with him for the time being.

Yun Yingzhi was quite unhappy. Even though fighting as the “battle-rabbit” was quite embarrassing, the victory of each battle gave him a sense of satisfaction.

Seeing Yun Yingzhi’s obvious dissatisfaction, Ji Xiaobo couldn’t help but frown and ask, “Yingzhi, we don’t mind, but are you okay?”

Yun Yingzhi asked blankly, “What’s wrong with me?”

Seeing Yun Yingzhi’s dazed expression—as if he truly didn’t know what they were talking about—Yu Feiwen hesitated before saying, “Well… your body. Do you feel any discomfort?” He gestured toward his own neck.

Yun Yingzhi didn’t understand at first, but it clicked when he saw Yu Feiwen’s gesture.

His cheeks turned scarlet, and he awkwardly averted his eyes. Then…
