THE TOP STAR’S SECRET LOVE CONFESSION CHAPTER 38

Chapter 38: Hobbies

The flush on Bai Qi’s face didn’t fade until the program ended.

With great difficulty, he endured the gazes of the crowd and walked out the door. Just then, his phone gave a soft chime.

Bai Qi opened it and immediately saw a bank notification.

500,000. It had actually arrived.

The massive amount of zeros made him nearly forget everything else. Even though his card balance was already large, and this was just a fraction of it, he couldn’t stop himself from feeling jubilant. Even the wind made his cheeks feel hot.

This was money he had earned himself. He could buy Bo Yan a gift in a grand manner.

The more Bai Qi thought about it, the happier he became. Even his steps became much lighter.

Bo Yan had walked out with a dark face, but seeing Bai Qi happy now, his tense features softened involuntarily. As soon as they got into the car, he couldn’t help but pull him into a tight embrace.

A soft, fragrant body filled his entire embrace. As they pressed close together, it felt as if he could completely possess him.

Bo Yan leaned against his shoulder, lost in the moment. He was rarely so cold, showing a hint of tenderness instead.

Bai Qi’s mood also quieted down with the night. He closed his eyes and comfortably let Bo Yan hold him, thinking about what gift to buy for him.

He didn’t want to ask Bo Yan directly; it would be best to give him a surprise. So, he had to buy something Bo Yan liked.

But what did he like?

Thinking of this, Bai Qi froze. After trying to recall for a while, his expression changed slightly. He suddenly realized he knew almost nothing about Bo Yan’s hobbies.

What he specifically liked to eat, what clothes he liked to wear, what he liked to play with, what he usually did… he seemed to know none of it.

He hadn’t even watched a single one of Bo Yan’s movies, didn’t understand his past experiences, and wasn’t familiar with his family at all. In contrast, Bo Yan even remembered his mother’s preferences perfectly.

Realizing this, a sense of unprecedented guilt and shock welled up in Bai Qi’s heart.

This is too much.

Although they were currently in a stage of “trying to date,” it was entirely Bo Yan taking care of him unilaterally.

Bai Qi even thought of a problem. He had always felt a sense of insecurity around Bo Yan; from his family to his personality and even his physical size, he couldn’t be completely at ease. How could Bo Yan not see his resistance?

His heart beat very fast, the flush gradually fading from his face. He subconsciously hugged Bo Yan’s waist tightly.

A burning body heat was transmitted over. Bo Yan looked cold, but in their interactions, he was blunt and passionate. He didn’t say anything, but he must feel hurt in his heart too, right?

Bai Qi took deep breaths to calm himself down. He made up his mind to change all of this; he couldn’t let Bo Yan give unilaterally.

He was also a man of action, so he began secretly observing Bo Yan.

That night, the family of three sat in the living room for dinner. Before them was a table full of exquisite dishes delivered by the hotel, nearly all of which were favorites of Bai Qi and his mother.

If it were before, Bai Qi wouldn’t have thought much of it, at most thinking it was a coincidence their tastes were so similar.

However, this time, while picking up food, he inconspicuously observed the dishes Bo Yan ate.

The first bite was stir-fried bamboo shoots.

Bo Yan’s eating manner was very pleasant, his movements neither hurried nor slow. The stir-fried bamboo shoots suited him well.

He thought the next would be beef, but the next bite was still a vegetable dish.

Next… vegetable, vegetable, vegetable, vegetable. It seemed he only ate two or three bites of meat in total. He didn’t touch anything spicy at all, and even for a drink, he had plain water instead of touching the milk.

The vast majority of the meat on the table was eaten by Bai Qi and his mother.

The scene before him exceeded his understanding. Afraid of his anomaly being discovered, Bai Qi tried his best to hide the surprise in his heart, chewing hard on the beef tendon in his mouth.

How could there be such a big difference?

Was Bo Yan, as a star, controlling his weight? But he had really eaten a lot of vegetables and had finished two large bowls of rice. No one would control their weight like that.

Bai Qi regretted it deeply. Bo Yan loved vegetables; such an obvious thing, yet he had only just discovered it.

He deeply realized how dense he had been in the past.

After dinner, while Bo Yan was in the shower, Bai Qi curled up on the sofa and secretly searched for things Bo Yan liked to eat.

So many results came up.

[God Bo’s appetite for food is really light. Such a tall man actually eats vegetarian most of the time. How did he grow so tall?]

[Yeah, and it’s not like he specifically loves any vegetable dish. On set, he just eats the boxed meals with everyone else, rarely going out to a restaurant. In this aspect, he’s simply easy to take care of. He really doesn’t seem like a “Rich Second Generation.”]

[Ahhh, I’ve found another “sugar” moment! Bai Qi said in Star Clash that Bo Yan loves beef, and Bo Yan agreed. God knows he’s never been seen eating beef before!]

[Truly! And apparently, their schedules are very similar. But Bo Yan is clearly a night owl; his filming often has “hellish” hours, so it’s hard for him to wake up early.]

[Hehe, no wonder he could chase such a great beauty. You have to accommodate and tolerate a beauty more.]

Accommodate…

The phone fell silently onto the sofa. Bai Qi was unable to recover for a long time.

He thought back to the night Bo Yan first moved in. Almost as soon as it was bedtime, Bo Yan hung up his phone and came up to sleep together.

At the time, Bai Qi was still glad their schedules were so similar. Thinking about it now, had Bo Yan actually been asleep?

The next day, he had been woken by the cold wind and developed a fever; Bo Yan had also been woken when Bai Qi tried to get out of bed. In reality, Bo Yan must be very unaccustomed to waking up so early.

The guilt in his heart was incomparable.

Bai Qi wanted to pay more attention to Bo Yan. He kept searching for everything related to him, seriously studying and recording. He didn’t even notice when the sound of the water in the bathroom stopped.

It wasn’t until his phone was suddenly snatched away that he looked up blankly.

Bo Yan had only a bath towel wrapped around his waist. He looked down at the search results on Bai Qi’s phone, his voice carrying the hoarseness after a shower.

“A guy with a high nose like Bo Yan is obviously very ‘strong’ in that area.”

He paused, then looked at Bai Qi with a look of surprise in his eyes, giving a light laugh: “We don’t need to use these to judge, do we?”
