Chapter 91: Getting Angry Like Acting Spoiled
Knowing Ye Zhile was having surgery, Wen Yumiao and Ye Junting both left work early to rush over. However, they were still late. Thinking Ye Zhile had likely already entered the operating room, they were surprised to find him lying on the bed like a grand master, eating fruit and watching TV, perfectly relaxed.
Meanwhile, Ji Shuohan was in the ward packing things for him. Seeing them arrive, he even greeted them in a good mood.
“Papa, Father.” Ye Zhile sat up.
Wen Yumiao opened his mouth. “Are you done with the surgery or did you not do it?”
“I didn’t do it,” Ye Zhile said. Wen Yumiao was puzzled. “Why?”
“Because I want to continue being an Omega,” Ye Zhile said without blushing or his heart skipping a beat.
Actually, Wen Yumiao also didn’t support Ye Zhile removing his gland. That thing was harmful to the body; if it were removed, Ye Zhile’s constitution would truly be ruined. A little bit of wind or rain would take his life. But there was no other way, as he wouldn’t accept anyone else’s pheromones. Now, hearing that he wasn’t having the surgery, Wen Yumiao felt relieved, but he looked at Ji Shuohan in confusion. “What is he doing?”
“Packing things to go home,” Ye Zhile said coldly.
“I know…” What Wen Yumiao wanted to ask was why Ji Shuohan was here packing things for him.
Wen Yumiao walked over. “Let me do it.”
“It’s fine, I’m almost done.” Ji Shuohan was neither humble nor arrogant, looking every bit the part of a virtuous house-husband.
“He’s an Enigma; what’s wrong with letting him pack a bit?” Ye Zhile chewed on an apple, speaking quite shamelessly.
However, these words sounded incredible to the two fathers. Was this still their well-behaved and cute precious youngest son? How could he say such a thing?!
“Is this your son?” Wen Yumiao whispered to Ye Junting.
Ye Junting teased him, “He’s your son.”
Wen Yumiao glared at him. Ye Junting knew he was wrong and smiled apologetically. “My mistake, my mistake. He’s my son, my son.”
He then pulled Wen Yumiao outside and said, “You know Lele’s personality. Is he the type of person to boss others around? He’s forcing the Leader to compromise.”
“Compromise?” Wen Yumiao didn’t understand. “You mean he wants to use this method to make the Leader let go?”
Ye Junting nodded. “Otherwise? Our Lele is such a polite person. How could he possibly let a man who divorced him do this kind of thing? It’s already good enough that he didn’t tell him to scram.”
Wen Yumiao gave a light laugh. “It’s because your son is soft-hearted and forgives him over and over.”
Ye Junting had nothing to say to that, but he felt there was nothing wrong with his child being soft-hearted and kind. It proved he had grown up well. With these qualities, he would be able to gain things in life that money couldn’t buy.
“Wait! Then what about his pheromones? And he’s letting the Leader pack… What are they doing?” Wen Yumiao came to his senses and was about to go back in, but Ye Junting quickly held him back to soothe him. “Just let them be. Lele isn’t someone without his own opinions. He has his own thoughts. I believe Lele won’t repeat the same mistakes.”
“Then…” Wen Yumiao hesitated for a moment. “Fine, I’ll believe him one more time.”
Ye Junting smiled.
After packing, Ye Zhile was discharged. Ji Shuohan wanted to talk to him, but the Omega dived into the car the moment he stepped out of the hospital gates, sitting in the furthest corner and not saying another word to him.
Ji Shuohan was helpless and could only watch the family drive away before returning to the Leader’s Department himself.
Ji Shuohan always appeared before Ye Zhile using various excuses. Fortunately, this time he was blatant and self-assured, no longer feeling the timidness he had before.
Ye Zhile went downstairs and saw Ji Shuohan holding Dudu and playing with toys. He glanced at him and sat at the dining table to eat breakfast.
Today’s breakfast was shrimp porridge. Ye Zhile felt the taste was a bit familiar and quite good. He turned and called out, “Papa?”
“What is it?” Wen Yumiao was arranging flowers. Ye Zhile asked him, “Did Papa make today’s porridge?”
Wen Yumiao looked up and smiled. “No, the Leader made it.”
The mouth Ye Zhile used to chew food paused. He spat it all into the trash can. “Pah! It tastes terrible.”
With that, Ye Zhile rinsed his mouth and walked to the kitchen, his voice sweet and well-behaved. “Auntie, I want to eat pasta—tomato flavored.”
“Alright, wait a moment. Auntie will make it for you,” the nanny responded.
Wen Yumiao couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head helplessly. This child was throwing a tantrum, truly thinking others would find him unreasonable and arrogant.
Ye Zhile’s every move was within Ji Shuohan’s sight. He felt the Omega’s mock-arrogant behavior was very cute, yet he also felt stifled. Before, he had loved eating the things he made, saying “My Lord, this is so delicious” with every bite.
“Ba-ba!” Dudu gripped the sofa and shouted at Ye Zhile’s back. Ji Shuohan picked him up and taught him, “Call me Father.”
“Ba-ba!” A child learning to speak could only smack his lips together; he couldn’t handle the curves of speech at all.
“Father!” Ji Shuohan said word by word.
“Ba-ba!” Dudu shouted even more vigorously. Ji Shuohan was helpless. Suddenly, he turned Dudu toward Ye Zhile and pointed at Ye Zhile’s back. “Call him Mother! Mother!”
“Ma-ma!” Dudu was very quick to catch on!
Ji Shuohan was extremely pleased and taught Dudu, “I am Papa, he is Mama. Understand?”
“A-ba! A-ma!” Dudu was starting to grow teeth. Every time he spoke, drool would flow out, wetting his bib. Ji Shuohan changed it for a new one.
At noon, Ye Zhile was lying in the yard sunbathing. Ji Shuohan walked over at some point and used a small fan to fan him. Ye Zhile turned his head away and said sarcastically, “The busy man isn’t busy anymore? The person who used to work overtime every day now has time to run over to my place.”
Actually, Ye Zhile knew he was truly busy. Any free time he had now was likely squeezed out by concentrating his work. But Ye Zhile insisted on saying this; if Ji Shuohan felt uncomfortable, he should just scram.
Ji Shuohan not only didn’t scram but even smiled. “In the future, I will definitely spend more time with you.”
The feeling of a punch landing on cotton was not pleasant. Ye Zhile was annoyed and glared at him. “Who wants you to accompany them?! You’re overthinking it!”
With that, Ye Zhile stood up in a huff and went inside.
Ji Shuohan knew Ye Zhile simply found him unpleasant to look at. No matter whether his answer was yes or no, the outcome would be the same. He didn’t mind; as long as it allowed the youth to vent his anger and feel a bit better, anything was fine.
Ye Zhile went out to sunbathe happily and came back in a huff, plopping down beside Wen Yumiao. Seeing his expression, Wen Yumiao laughed, “Your anger is like acting spoiled.”
Ye Zhile’s face turned red, and he widened his eyes to argue, “When was I acting spoiled?”
Wen Yumiao burst out laughing and went along with him. “No, no. Our Lele is very angry. Don’t be mad anymore; getting angry causes wrinkles.”
“…” Ye Zhile didn’t want to talk anymore.
