Chapter 97: Ning Ke: Hate Me, Lou Yunxiao (The Truth of the Liuyun Sect Massacre) part 1
But it was already too late.
In the next moment, Lou Yunxiao was grabbed by the throat from behind—by Nan Lou’s severed right hand!
The severed hand tightened, its claws digging into his neck to suck his blood.

Jiu Yuan was speechless.
After a long silence, he pushed himself off the ground and patted Lou Yunxiao’s shoulder. “I can walk on my own; I don’t need help. Lou Yunxiao, you stay here and assist him. This time, make sure you remember your promise to me—protect A-Ke.”
Seeing Lou Yunxiao nod, Jiu Yuan staggered away, retreating from the battlefield.
“You’re a Yao?” Nan Lou retrieved his arm and reattached it, narrowing his eyes as he sized up Ning Ke. “A Nine-Tailed Fox too?”
Ning Ke let out a cold laugh.
“I’m your grandfather.”
“You brat!”
Nan Lou’s eyes widened in rage. His demonic claws lunged at Ning Ke, but before they could get close, they were blocked by Lou Yunxiao’s divine sword.
Even though he was covered in injuries, Lou Yunxiao’s willpower was enough to ensure that every slash he made was immensely powerful.
He forced Nan Lou back.
“Lou Yunxiao,” Ning Ke said. “Chop his body into pieces.”
“Alright.”
Lou Yunxiao didn’t ask Ning Ke why he wanted him to do that, but subconsciously, he trusted Ning Ke completely.
Thus, he attacked Nan Lou with his swords, channeling all his spiritual power to fuse with the Breath of Heaven, cleanly severing Nan Lou’s hand!
“Didn’t I tell you I can reform—”
Before Nan Lou could finish, a giant talisman descended from the sky, slamming his severed hand into the ground.

“Lou Yunxiao?” Ning Ke walked over, only to see Lou Yunxiao’s eyes had turned different colors.
One red, one black.
“Cough…” Lou Yunxiao spat out a mouthful of black blood.
He looked at the approaching Ning Ke and took a step back. “Don’t come near me.”
He looked at the stone monuments and asked, “Can this really seal the Great Mo?”
Ning Ke replied, “I used the monuments as array cores to set the Tiandao Array. They won’t be able to escape for ten thousand years.”
“I see,” Lou Yunxiao said. “However, I think it’s unwise to seal them all in one place. It’s better to scatter them.”
“The Tiandao has one last instruction for me.”
With that, Lou Yunxiao held Cangyin and Hongyun, merging them into a single blade.
Burning his spiritual power and his very life force, he struck the ground with all his might.
BOOM—
Space tore apart, and the world was divided. The Three Realms were officially established.
The stone monuments were also sent to various locations.
Cangyin and Hongyun split back into two swords and fell to the ground.
Lou Yunxiao didn’t pick them up.
Instead, he swayed and began to fall backward from mid-air.

“You damned bastard!” A voice emerged from Lou Yunxiao’s body—it was Nan Lou. “You’re actually going to self-destruct! Don’t you know that if you do this, your soul will be completely extinguished? You won’t even have a chance to reincarnate!”
The reason Nan Lou had fled into Lou Yunxiao’s body was to possess it, hoping to escape the seal and continue wreaking havoc.
He never expected that after being discovered, this man would be so resolute.
He was going to take them both down together!

Ning Ke looked at Lou Yunxiao in shock, only to see the man’s lips move one last time.
He said:

Blood splattered, and the soul dispersed.
Ning Ke touched the blood on his cheek—Lou Yunxiao’s blood.
After a moment of silence, he let out a piercing scream.
It felt as though his soul was being ripped from his body.
Ning Ke screamed and screamed, unable to stop.
The horror and agony of watching Lou Yunxiao die right in front of him drowned him.
“Aaaah—”
He collapsed to his knees. The calm he had been forcing himself to maintain was gone. He clutched his head as tears fell uncontrollably.
“A-Ke!” Jiu Yuan walked to Ning Ke’s side and pulled him into an embrace, his heart aching like it was being sliced by a knife.
Even he hadn’t expected Lou Yunxiao to go to such lengths to completely destroy that sliver of demonic intent.

Ning Ke’s whole body was trembling, his breathing ragged. The rain soaked his clothes and hair, making him look even more pathetic.
He grabbed Jiu Yuan’s arm, his mind still not fully clear.

Jiu Yuan reached out and touched Ning Ke’s cheek, wiping away his tears.
Then he stood up and walked back to the spot where Lou Yunxiao had just been.
He drew an array on the ground, infused it with all his remaining Yaoli, and used half of his own divine soul as a guide to activate a forbidden technique.
