Chapter 128: Am I the First Sentinel Youâve “Taught”?
She’s really letting me kiss?
Hong Que couldn’t help but smirk irrepressibly. Watching Xie Qiang stand before the sink, leaning down to splash water on her mouth, he also leaned down, staring intently as she washed her lips.
Xie Qiang had only just splashed a couple of times when she heard the youth beside her say impatiently, “Are you done yet? Not ready?”
Xie Qiang: …?
Xie Qiang turned to look at him in disbelief.
I only just got them wet! I haven’t even had the chance to rub my lips yet?!
“Don’t wash anymore, youâll rub the skin off if you keep going.” Hong Que lied through his teeth, leaning in front of the girl and pouting. “If you take any longer, that tiger will be back.”
“…”
Forget it, since he doesn’t mind… Xie Qiang stood on her tiptoes slightly and tilted her chin up. “Fine, do it yourself then. Be mindful of the limits.”
Hong Que immediately lowered his head.
The moment they touched, an arm suddenly appeared behind her knees. In the next second, Xie Qiang felt her body being lifted into the air. Her lips had only just lightly brushed away due to inertia when the back of her head was heavily pressed down by the youth.
The sink bore the girlâs weight. The mirror clearly reflected her back, which was then pressed tightly against it. Hong Que withdrew his hand and pressed it against the mirror, his arching knuckles trembling slightly, leaving mottled finger prints on the glass.
The red-haired youthâs kiss was crude and passionate. That domineering surge of energy seemed intent on pouring all his pent-up emotions into this one form of expression, carrying a sense of urgency and greed as he arrogantly explored his “possession.”
A moment later, he pulled away, gasping for air against the cool surroundings. Suppressing the urge to mark her, he pressed his lips back against the girlâs soft ones.
Cycle after cycle, without end.
Soon, Xie Qiang felt her lips stinging from the friction. she didn’t dare imagine what she would look like after ten minutes of this. Taking advantage of Hong Que catching his breath, she covered his lips.
“Um, I think itâs better if I do it…”
“Huh?”
Before Hong Que could react, two hands were placed on his shoulders. His lips were tremblingly parted, and a soft warmth stirred within their mutual weaknesses. Hong Que only felt as if his heart were about to leap out, and his breath was entirely stolen away.
“Dammit…” he panted, wanting to catch his breath but reluctant to leave. “So skilled. Exactly how long did you practice on Mo Yin and Sen Ji?”
“?” Xie Qiang gave him a hard bite.
“Hiss…” Hong Que touched his lip, looked down at the blood on his finger, and looked up in surprise. “Hey, Xie Qiang, did I hit the mark and you got embarrassed and angry enough to start biting?”
Xie Qiang glared at him slightly. “So much nonsense for a kiss. Sen Ji and Mo Yin aren’t like this!”
The first half of the sentence was fine, but the second half almost made Hong Que jump. “Youâyou actually compared me to those two?”
Xie Qiang wiped her lips, crossed her arms, and tilted her chin up, deciding to teach his mouth a lesson today. “Thatâs right. Their kissing skills aren’t as bad as yours; I didn’t even have to teach them!”
“Hmm?”
The red-haired youth, who was originally jumping with rage, suddenly had a flush appear on his cheeks. His eyes sparkled as he said, “Then… does that mean Iâm the first Sentinel youâve ‘taught’?”
The first~ the first!
He was the first!!!
Hong Queâs eyes were full of sparkling stars as he looked expectantly at the girlâs lips. “Xie Qiang, teach me a bit longer. I won’t talk this time…”
Xie Qiang: … She had said the wrong thing! This man’s logic was completely different from everyone else’s!
Helplessly propping up her forehead, Xie Qiang had no choice but to continue fulfilling her promise.
Just as Hong Que was getting into the rhythm, the doorbell rang. Sen Jiâs voice came through the intercom: “Xie Qiang, are you there?”
Xie Qiang jolted. she wanted to stop, but the back of her head was held by Hong Que as he sought more for a while longer. Only when he figured he was about to be bitten by the “kitten” did he pull away reluctantly, his misty gaze reminding her, “We haven’t rolled around in the bed yet.”
“Heâs already here!” Xie Qiang jumped down from the sink, frantically looking for the window so Hong Que could climb out. “Hurry and leave!”
“Whatâs the rush? As long as you don’t answer, he won’t come in.”
Hong Que was quite calm. He reached out to pick Xie Qiang up and walked toward the large bathtub in the center of the bathroom. “When he asks, just say you were taking a bath and didn’t hear him~”
After saying that, he placed Xie Qiang into the tub without allowing any refusal.
Completely soaked, Xie Qiang couldn’t help but clench her fists. “But I didn’t bring a change of clothes!”
“Iâll go get them for you~” Hong Que cheerfully left the bathroom.
Back in the bedroom, Hong Que opened the wardrobe. As he scanned the rows of lace and cut-out nightgowns, he couldn’t help but rub his nose, his gaze shifting slightly. “What the… she always wears this style at night?”
It didn’t quite suit her current self, but… he really wanted to see her wear them. Cough.
After rummaging through the drawers, Hong Que finally found a relatively satisfactory nightgown and ran back to the bathroom.
He crouched down and reached out a hand, handing a white silk nightgown to Xie Qiang. “Here.”
Xie Qiang took it. Seeing him staring at her, she glared. “Turn around!”
“Itâs not like I haven’t seen…” Hong Que muttered. Seeing Xie Qiang pick up the soap box by the tub to throw at him, he hurriedly stood up and walked away. “I know, I know. So fierce.”
The sound of splashing water behind him was followed by the thud of wet clothes hitting the floorâjust like the sound of moisture colliding when their lips were entwined earlier. The girlâs irregular breathing was amplified infinitely due to his sharp senses, sounding as if it were right in his ear.
Hong Que couldn’t help but scratch his cheek, suppressing the subtle itch in his heart by counting the patterns on the floor tiles to distract himself.
Until Xie Qiangâs annoyed voice rang out behind him: “What kind of clothes did you get? Why is it so short!”
Hong Que turned around to see her desperately pulling down the hem of the nightgown. It was clear that the mark he had bitten during the day hadn’t faded; it remained there.
He was finally at ease. Satisfied, he walked over and handed her another buttonless robe. “Put this on as well.”
“Why didn’t you bring it sooner?”
Xie Qiang hurriedly grabbed the robe and put it on, tying the sash tightly around her waist.
“I was afraid you wouldn’t be able to hold it and would get it wet.” Hong Que said righteously. “Alright, go see him. Iâm leaving!”
After speaking, Hong Que walked toward the bedroom quite self-consciously.
Xie Qiang hurried to follow.
Watching him spread his red wings and fly away from the balcony, Xie Qiang patted her cheeks and walked toward the door.
She then caught sight of Hong Queâs clothes strewn across the floor. Her vision darkened slightly. Resigned to her fate, she picked them up and stuffed them all into the wardrobe.
After finishing, she took a light breath, opened the door, and smiled at Sen Ji. “Back so soon?”
“Mhm… I accidentally used too much force, and he didn’t hold outâhe fainted.” Sen Ji gave a light cough, his gaze cautiously scanning her face. “I haven’t personally beaten an A-class Sentinel in a long time; I didn’t control my strength well. If youâre not satisfied, I…”
“No, for this kind of thing, you just need more practice.” Xie Qiang offered a brilliant smile.
