Chapter 108: I Am Terrified
When he first met A-Ke, Lou Yunxiao was single-mindedly focused on avenging his sect and spent most of his time cultivating. Although he was close to A-Ke, he had never carefully asked about A-Keās background. To put it simply, he had never truly understood A-Ke as a person. Being stabbed in the heart time and time again with cold words by the person he lovedāno matter how much Lou Yunxiao pestered him, he would still get hurt, and it would still sting.
“…” Ning Ke pursed his lips. After a long while, he said, “You did nothing wrong. You just shouldn’t have fallen in love with me.”

“…” This was the answer Lou Yunxiao least wanted to hear. His body trembled slightly as he whispered, “So, are you going to throw me away?”
“Just because I fell in love with you, you don’t want me anymore?”
“What exactly…” Lou Yunxiaoās voice was nearly sobbing. “What exactly have you taken me for?”
“After you revealed your identity, youāve been treating me like an elder, looking at me as if I were a child making a scene. You refuse the things I give you, you refuse to open up to me, and you exclude me from your world. But have you ever considered how I feelāthe one who was given a bunch of unclear ‘truths’ by you, the one who was pushed away and told never to pester you again?”
“A-Ke, Iām begging you.” Lou Yunxiao released Ning Ke slightly. Under the moonlight shining through the scattered clouds, he gazed at the person before him with reddened eyes. He pleaded, “Don’t exclude me from your world again…”
“Otherwise, I will truly… be afraid.”
He cradled Ning Keās hand, burying his face in that cold palm. In a humble posture, he repeated with a sob:
“I am terrified.”
Ning Ke watched Lou Yunxiao go from questioning to pleading. His back was hunched, as if he had sunk into the dust. Ning Keās heart was moved. Ripples formed in his mind.
He wanted to say something.
But suddenly, he saw a spatial crack appear behind Lou Yunxiao. Mo energy poured out, striking directly at the back of Lou Yunxiaoās neck!
Ning Ke raised a hand to block. Sharp Yao claws clashed with demonic claws. A metallic clanging sound rang out.
Nan Lou was horrified. “Itās actually you!”
He hadn’t recognized Ning Keās transformation technique earlier and thought Ning Ke was just a minor Huashen cultivator. He wanted to use the spatial crack to ambush Lou Yunxiao, but he hadn’t expected to be stopped by Ning Keās Yao claws.
The moment they clashed, he knew: this person was that damned Nine-Tailed Fox! He had to avoid his edge!
Lou Yunxiao had also sensed the danger. His divine sword was summoned, slashing with all its might toward the Great Mo with Lou Jingās face!

Just as he finished saying this, Lou Yunxiao suddenly turned around. Cangyin shot toward the cave entrance, triggering a cry of alarm.
