Chapter 41: The Incompetent and Malicious Ex-Boyfriend
Shen Ci only felt the internal heat and itchiness continuing to spiral out of control.
It felt like thousands of insects were crawling through his body, and even his breath felt like scalding steam.
He reached out toward Wu Mu.
Wu Mu stood in place,
Unmoved.
After several seconds, he spoke in a husky voice, “Shen Ci, do you know who I am?”
“Wu… Mr. Wu.” Shen Ci’s voice was mixed with soft gasps, sounding weak and trembling.
Wu Mu’s breathing instantly grew heavy. His Adam’s apple rolled.
He finally reached out and grasped Shen Ci’s hand.
Both of them were soaking wet. Wu Mu used his other hand to turn off the shower.
“Shen Ci, I’ll ask you one more time. How do you want me to help you?”
Shen Ci was in a daze and was just about to speak.
In the next second, an even more intense itch surged up from his lower back, like little bugs crawling under his skin, forcing an uncontrollable gasp from his lips.
That gasp reached Wu Mu’s ears and caused the desire in his eyes to explode—
Yet he still didn’t move, waiting for Shen Ci’s answer.
Shen Ci had a boyfriend, and they were very happy together.
Wu Mu didn’t want to be a third party.
But in this situation, with Shen Ci begging him…
He couldn’t refuse.
Shen Ci collapsed completely into Wu Mu’s arms.
His heavy, ragged breathing fell against Wu Mu’s neck…
Wu Mu felt like he was the one who had been drugged, not Shen Ci.
He could no longer restrain the desire in his heart and picked Shen Ci up by the waist.
Just as he was about to leave the bathroom,
Shen Ci’s phone rang.
Wu Mu’s footsteps paused. He glanced at the phone screen.
The name “Ye Xi” was displayed on it.
His gaze turned heavy.
After staring for a few seconds, the corners of his mouth hooked slightly.
In his heart, he silently whispered an apology.
Your boyfriend… belongs to me now.
He used one hand to power the phone off before carrying Shen Ci out of the bathroom.
Shen Ci no longer had any conscious awareness.
…

“Mmh…”
“Is it okay?”
“…”
“Don’t be afraid…”
!
Ye Xi listened to the electronic prompt telling him that Shen Ci’s phone was powered off, and his face darkened completely.
What could possibly lead him to not only refuse a call but choose to turn off his phone entirely?
He had hired someone to investigate and found out that Shen Ci was working as a host at Hello.
Ye Xi didn’t understand. Although Shen Ci’s company wasn’t huge, his understanding was that it was still profitable.
Why would Shen Ci go to Hello to work part-time as a host?
Furthermore, Hello was a gay bar!
This left him completely bewildered.
Shen Ci had gone there again today.
And he had used that same old set of lies to fool him.
…
The veins on the hand Ye Xi used to grip his phone bulged. Unable to restrain his suspicion and fury any longer, he walked into Hello.
The first floor of Hello was no different from an ordinary bar.
Warm yellow lights blended with blurry neon. The back bar was lined with all sorts of bottles, and crystal glasses shimmered with fine shards of light under the lamps.
The wall of electronic music hit him, and Ye Xi couldn’t help but frown.
He looked around.
As expected of a gay bar, it was entirely filled with men—even the servers were all men.
A greeter approached him. Seeing the gauze wrapped around Ye Xi’s head, he was momentarily stunned, but when his gaze landed on Ye Xi’s face, a flash of amazement crossed his eyes.
He greeted Ye Xi with a professional smile. “Good evening, Sir.”
Ye Xi looked at him and got straight to the point. “I’m looking for Shen Ci. He’s a host here.”
The greeter’s smile didn’t change, but his tone became apologetic.
“I’m sorry, Sir. Our service staff all use stage names, and the privacy of our clients and employees is strictly confidential. Without a specific stage name or reservation information, I truly cannot look him up for you.”
“Then call your manager out.”
“Sir, our manager only handles customized services for VIP members of intermediate level and above. Without a prior appointment, I cannot arrange for you to see him.” The greeter maintained his standard “eight-tooth” smile.
Ye Xi was silent for a second. “If I sign up for a VIP membership right now, can I see your manager?”
“Yes, Sir. However, an intermediate VIP membership requires a minimum deposit of five million.”
Just the day before, Ye Xi had received a transfer from “N.”
Forget five million—Ye Xi could even bring out ten million right now.
“I’ll get one.”
The smile on the greeter’s face remained proper, but took on several degrees of respect.
“This way, Sir. Our exclusive VIP processing area is in the VIP lounge on the second floor.”
Ye Xi suppressed the impatience in his heart and followed the greeter to the second floor.
The process was very fast.
Fingerprint recording, payment.
Then the operations manager gave Ye Xi a blue chip card.
The moment Ye Xi emerged from the lounge, he demanded the greeter take him to the manager.
He had to find Shen Ci as soon as possible.
Manager Wu was stunned when he saw Ye Xi. After all, even with the gauze on his head, the man’s looks were top-tier.
But he quickly recovered and looked at Ye Xi with a smile. “May I ask what your relationship is to Xiao Shen?”
“I am his lover.”
Manager Wu’s expression didn’t change; he had actually guessed as much.
But his boss had just carried the man upstairs half an hour ago.
Naturally, he couldn’t sell his boss out.
“Sir, Xiao Shen didn’t come to work today.”
“Impossible. My GPS tracking shows him right here.” If it hadn’t been for Shen Ci’s phone being off, Ye Xi wouldn’t be looking for him like a headless fly.
Manager Wu: “…”
“He did come, but he requested leave and left halfway through. If you don’t believe me, why don’t you give him a call and ask?”
Ye Xi: “…”
Knowing he wouldn’t get Shen Ci’s location out of this damned Manager Wu,
Ye Xi ultimately could only leave Hello with a cold face.
He could only wait until Shen Ci returned home tomorrow to question him.
When Shen Ci woke up, he was in Wu Mu’s arms.
His brow was already furrowed before he even opened his eyes.
His body—
The moment he opened his eyes, the memories of the previous night flooded back into his mind.
He bolted upright in bed.
In the next second,
The sense of discomfort made his frown even deeper.
Wu Mu was woken up by his movement. He opened his eyelids and glanced at Shen Ci before reaching out to wrap an arm around his waist. His voice still carried a hint of sleepiness.
“Baby, sleep a bit longer, okay?”
He had only fallen asleep near dawn after cleaning up. He was still quite tired.
Shen Ci let out a silent wail of despair in his heart.
It’s over, it’s over, it’s over!
My reputation is ruined!!!
But he also knew that he was the one who had been proactive the night before.
In fact—
Repeatedly.
At the thought, Shen Ci wished he could just find a wall to slam into and die.
It was too shameful.
He quickly threw off Wu Mu’s hand and prepared to get out of bed, only to realize he wasn’t wearing anything at all.
He grabbed the duvet and wrapped it around himself, scrambling out of bed in a panic.
Wu Mu: “…”
You took the duvet… what about me?
