EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 121

Chapter 121: Mock Interview

An interview process is simple to describe but quite difficult to write. After confirming the subject, the theme must be determined, and relevant background information on the subject must be thoroughly understood. No step can be omitted, or points will be deducted from the assessment. After checking it several times, Ye Zhile handed it to Ji Shuohan. “Leader, help me take a look.”

Ji Shuohan took the script and scanned it. “The general structure is correct, but did your instructor specify how detailed it needs to be?”

“He just said it needs to be detailed, but the steps I wrote are very thorough.” Ye Zhile was sprawled over him.

Ji Shuohan nodded and looked at the clock. “It’s almost 11:30 PM. Didn’t you have to submit it before midnight? Send it and then go to sleep.”

“Oh.” After organizing it, Ye Zhile uploaded it. Seeing Ji Shuohan still looking at files, he asked, “How much longer do you have?”

“Almost done. You go up first,” Ji Shuohan said.

Ye Zhile’s “fawn eyes” rolled mischievously. He gave a sweet smile and leaned down to kiss Ji Shuohan’s cheek. “Then I’ll go up first and wait for the Leader~”

“…” Ji Shuohan looked up in surprise. Ye Zhile suppressed a laugh and blew him a kiss—the image of a pure little seductress.

Ji Shuohan closed his files and immediately hoisted the boy over his shoulder. “No need to wait. We’re going now.”

“Haha… I was kidding!” Ye Zhile struggled. “Leader! Ji Shuohan!”

“Shh!” Ji Shuohan set him down and hugged him. “Keep it down. Dudu is asleep.”

“Oh.” Ye Zhile covered his mouth and nodded. Ji Shuohan teased, “Dudu might hear us, so let’s be quiet.”

“The soundproofing is very—” Ye Zhile saw the playfulness in Ji Shuohan’s eyes and realized what being “quiet” actually meant. He slapped Ji Shuohan’s chest. “What nonsense are you saying?”

Ji Shuohan leaned down to kiss him and led him into the bedroom.

Because he had slept too late the night before, Ye Zhile was a bit of a bed-wallower. It took Ji Shuohan’s gentle coaxing to finally get him up. Realizing time was running out, Ye Zhile scrambled out of bed, washed up, and dove into the car.

“Breakfast.” Ji Shuohan handed him an opened sandwich and some milk. Ye Zhile took them and ate heartily, gulping down the bottle of milk.

At the company building, Ye Zhile hurriedly gave Ji Shuohan a few messy kisses on the lips, then opened the door and jumped out. “See you tonight, Leader!”

“See you tonight.”

Fortunately, since Ye Zhile arrived late today, there were no people gathered at the elevators to gossip. The elevators were clear and unobstructed. He sat back at his workstation, and You Xun immediately came over to talk. “Good morning!”

“Good morning.” Ye Zhile set down his backpack and pulled out a bag of macadamia nuts, tearing it open. “Want some?”

“Thank you!” You Xun grabbed a few. Ye Zhile gave him the nutcracker. He then asked other group members if they wanted any. Some were too shy to take some, while others came right over. “Thanks!”

“You’re welcome.” Ye Zhile sat back down. Before he could chat much with You Xun, Rong Mo entered.

“Everyone did a good job on the interview scripts this time, but some of the processes weren’t detailed enough. The instructors will evaluate you based on these scripts,” Rong Mo said. “Remember, your daily performance also counts toward your assessment score. While it doesn’t make up the bulk of the score, it contributes to your ‘impression score’ with the instructors.”

“Then wouldn’t that mean whoever is on good terms with the teacher gets a better impression score?” a group member said.

Rong Mo chuckled lightly. “Internship instructors aren’t trash cans. How could someone who performs poorly be on good terms with their instructor?”

The person was silenced by the retort and immediately shut up.

Ye Zhile pursed his lips and was about to look over some materials when Rong Mo called him, “Ye Zhile?”

“Here.” Ye Zhile looked up. Rong Mo beckoned him. “Come over here for a moment.”

“Oh.” Ye Zhile stood up and followed Rong Mo out.

“What do you think Teacher Rong wants with him?”

“He’s the top of the group; the instructors must really like him.”

“Since he’s first in grades, doesn’t that mean he’ll be first in ‘impression score’ too?”

“Heavens, if he keeps being first, won’t we be the ones eliminated?”

Zhou Ziyu heard this and looked at Ye Zhile’s empty workstation in silence.

In Rong Mo’s office, Rong Mo offered him a seat. Ye Zhile sat on the sofa while Rong Mo sat diagonally across from him.

“I’ve looked over your interview script. Your logic is very clear. Did you complete it by yourself?” Rong Mo asked, his demeanor refined and elegant as he spoke at a leisurely pace.

Ye Zhile nodded. “Mhm. But I showed it to the Leader. I only submitted it after he said it was fine.”

Rong Mo knew exactly who “the Leader” was. He smiled. “Your script is very detailed, and you have great intuition. Your handling of details is excellent, including the privacy issues I only mentioned yesterday, which you already noted down.”

“Thank you, Teacher,” Ye Zhile smiled.

“The company has asked each group to select a Group Leader. I’ve chosen you,” Rong Mo said. “I need to clarify that being a Group Leader isn’t just about managing the group. If someone can maintain the top rank in their group or the entire internship, then once the internship ends, the company will heavily promote them as an A-list reporter or host.”

Ye Zhile was stunned. “A-list?”

That sounded incredibly impressive.

“That’s right. Of course, it requires strength.” Rong Mo teased, “The company wouldn’t be so foolish as to try and turn a bottom-ranked person into an A-list star, right?”

“True.” Ye Zhile snapped back to reality. “Thank you, Teacher.”

Ye Zhile suddenly felt the weight of the pressure. Rong Mo then added, “You were chosen as Group Leader because of your grades. I’ll inform the group in a bit; no one should have any objections. However, there will be an assessment once a month. If your score slips, the Group Leader will be replaced. So, you need to pay attention to your relationship with your group members.”

“Understood.”

Rong Mo announced the company’s decision to the group. Now everyone had a clear goal: the position of Group Leader. By becoming Group Leader and maintaining the top rank in the group, they could stay!

A meeting was held in the afternoon. The company distributed an interview opportunity to each group member and provided them with a photography team. Although this interview was a simulation and wouldn’t be published, it still affected their assessment score.

The first people Ye Zhile thought of were his big brother and Ji Shuohan. He immediately called his big brother. Once he got his brother’s consent, he hurriedly began preparing and writing the script.

“Tell me about your experiences.” Ye Zhile sat in the study, talking on the phone with Ye Zhijin.

Ye Zhijin laughed. “Are you interviewing me or am I interviewing you? This is like having the answers handed to you, isn’t it?”

“Aiya! You’re so many years older than me. When you went to the border, I was still in elementary school. How would I know the stories from your youth?” Ye Zhile leaned back in his chair.

“I’m still very young now, thank you,” Ye Zhijin corrected him.

Ye Zhile burst out laughing. “Hahaha… I know, I know. Then would my young Big Brother please tell this little brother about your heroic deeds?”
