Chapter 2 [This Celestial Beauty is a Fierce O]
A little past ten in the evening.
You Yuanyuan woke up in bed. He felt sore all over, weak and numb, his body feeling as if it had been run over by carriage wheels. He propped himself up against the bed to slowly rise, only to see a person kneeling on the floor.
“You Ye, y-you’re awake,” Zhou She said cautiously, wearing an unnatural, somewhat stiff smile on his face. Furthermore, he was kneeling quite far away, seemingly terrified of being kicked.
“Why are you kneeling while speaking?” You Yuanyuan looked at him in bewilderment, genuine confusion in his eyes.
Zhou She broke into a cold sweat, feeling like this was the calm before the storm. But seeing the absolute lack of hostility in You Yuanyuan’s eyes, he unexpectedly perceived a trace of pure innocence.
The next second, he slapped himself to snap out of it.
Still kneeling, he said, “You Ye, after you passed out earlier, Liu Yisheng examined you and said that you…”
“I what?” You Yuanyuan threw back the blanket.
Zhou She found it hard to speak. Before You Yuanyuan woke up, he had already made up his mind to resign. He couldn’t stand another day of this high-risk job that kept him constantly on edge. Now, gritting his teeth, he forced the words out: “He said you regressed and differentiated into an Omega!”
The spacious and bright bedroom fell utterly silent.
Zhou She closed his eyes, waiting for You Yuanyuan to explode—to smash the pillows, the cups, the phone, the vase… and waiting for You Yuanyuan to come over and kick him.
But, nothing happened.
Still on tenterhooks, he opened his eyes to look at You Yuanyuan. He found You Yuanyuan surprisingly calm, even asking him, “What grade is it?”
“Huh?” Zhou She froze for three seconds. Then he stammered, “I-It’s S-grade.”
“Isn’t that wonderful?” You Yuanyuan’s eyes revealed a smile. “A top-tier Omega, no less.”
Zhou She was dumbfounded. “???”
You Yuanyuan continued, “Top-tier Omegas are very rare, you know.”
Zhou She said blankly, “But you used to be a top-tier Alpha…”
“Oh, I was a top-tier Alpha before. That is indeed a bit of a pity, but top-tier Omegas are also very excellent,” You Yuanyuan said in a serious tone.
He was born with a cold face. When he wasn’t smiling, he was as frosty as ice, distant and chilly, like a flower blooming on a glacier—unattainable and piercingly cold. Those eyes were completely devoid of human warmth; a single glance could make a person shiver.
His facial features were exquisitely beautiful and unearthly, untouched by mortal dust. His skin was pale and delicate, the contours sharply defined. He resembled a masterfully crafted ice sculpture.
The outside world had given him the nickname “Cold-Faced Celestial Beauty.”
Of course, You Yuanyuan hated this nickname the most.
This face had always worn an icy, unapproachable expression; it had never held such a pure and innocent look like it did now. Combined with the fact that he didn’t remember being an Alpha, this was enough for Zhou She to conclude—You Yuanyuan had lost his memory!
This realization made Zhou She slump to the floor. Today had shocked him twice: first when You Yuanyuan regressed and differentiated into an Omega, and second when You Yuanyuan lost his memory.
If the outside world found out, the consequences would be unimaginable. Who was this? This was the top-tier Alpha everyone in Dongcheng revered, You Yuanyuan—You Ye!
Zhou She decided he couldn’t resign. If he did, You Yuanyuan would be besieged on all sides. This high-risk profession—if not him, then who?!
“You’re right, top-tier Omegas are also very excellent,” Zhou She said, standing up. He no longer had to worry about You Yuanyuan flying into a rage. He was about to pour a glass of water for him when You Yuanyuan suddenly began to feel unwell.
“Right, right, Liu Yisheng said that since you just differentiated into an Omega, your body will be in a state of heat for a while, meaning you won’t be able to control your estrus. He said to give you inhibitors once you woke up.” Zhou She hurriedly called Liu Que.
You Yuanyuan curled up entirely on the bed, his glands emitting an overwhelmingly intense Snow Mountain Cold Cotton pheromone.
Although it was the same pheromone as when he was an Alpha, its nature had changed. It was still crisp and pure, but no longer freezing and bone-chilling; instead, it was sweet and icy. It was like ice silk cotton candy, entangled in wisps and threads, pure yet incredibly alluring, like boiling a frog in warm water. By the time one relished the crisp sweetness, they would drown in this ultimate gentleness.
However, as a Beta, Zhou She couldn’t smell it.
Liu Yisheng arrived very quickly. He immediately closed the bedroom doors and windows, then nimbly brought out his medical kit, which contained three vials of inhibitors.
“Are you administering all three vials? Isn’t the dosage a bit too high?” Zhou She frowned.
As Liu Yisheng injected You Yuanyuan, he said seriously, “He regressed and differentiated from a top-tier Alpha into an Omega. However formidable and intense his pheromones were before, that’s how seductive and intense they are now. Even a top-tier Alpha with extreme self-control would lose their mind after smelling it. Do you think I need to increase the dosage or not?”
Zhou She’s heart sank to the bottom. “That is indeed too dangerous.”
In the past, when You Yuanyuan was still an incomparably formidable top-tier Alpha, everyone revered, respected, and worshiped him. Those arch-enemies and nemeses all feared and dreaded him.
But now that You Yuanyuan had differentiated into an incredibly alluring and rare S-grade Omega, most people probably wouldn’t respect or fear him anymore. Those arch-enemies and nemeses most likely wouldn’t fear him either, much less treat him as a rival.
Even worse…
Zhou She looked at You Yuanyuan’s coldly beautiful, celestial face, his heart growing heavier. You Yuanyuan might even end up surrounded by a pack of wolves, greedily coveted by all.
Like a rare prey, he would become the target countless Alphas scrambled to fight over.
Going from hunter to prey. How much pain must You Yuanyuan be in?
Especially Xing Lie, that ambitious, bastard of a wolf—he’d probably wake up laughing in his dreams. He would definitely use every means possible to force You Yuanyuan to step down. Perhaps not satisfied with just that, he might use all sorts of tricks to control You Yuanyuan. He might even be malicious enough to release Alpha pheromones, forcing You Yuanyuan into an uncontrollable heat, begging to be taken, all to exact revenge and humiliate You Yuanyuan.
Just thinking about these possibilities made Zhou She break out in a cold sweat.
The three inhibitors didn’t take effect immediately. Liu Yisheng and Zhou She waited by his side for a while, until they finally saw You Yuanyuan’s condition improve.
Liu Yisheng said, “The weather is hot lately, and since You Ye just differentiated, it’s very easy to trigger a heat. So you must be vigilant at all times and carry inhibitors with you. Also,”
He took out a bag of barrier patches from his medical kit and said, “These are extra-strength barrier patches I specially made for constitutions with intense pheromones. Once applied, as long as no one comes into close contact, they won’t be able to smell anything.”
You Yuanyuan reached out and took them. They were flesh-colored; once applied, they wouldn’t be noticeable unless examined up close.
Liu Yisheng suddenly pulled Zhou She into a corner and whispered, “Why do I feel like You Ye’s temperament has drastically changed? Why didn’t he blow up? He’s so calm… he almost seems a bit dense.”
Zhou She whispered back, “He lost his memory.”
Liu Yisheng was shocked once more, but then said, “But when I examined him just now, I didn’t find any signs of head trauma. It shouldn’t be amnesia. Anyway, let’s observe him for a while longer. Maybe he’ll recover his memory soon.”
That was all they could do for now. Zhou She glanced back at You Yuanyuan, who was earnestly studying the inhibitors and barrier patches. He led Liu Yisheng out of the bedroom and into the study, sliding a non-disclosure agreement in front of him.
“What happened today stays between you, me, and him. A fourth person cannot know. Liu Yisheng, I hope you will sign this and keep the secret,” Zhou She said with a grave expression.
Liu Yisheng replied, “I have medical ethics too. Rest assured, I absolutely will not speak of this. Furthermore, I admire You Ye’s character. Even if he has become an Omega now, I respect him all the same.”
After speaking, he signed the paper readily.
Zhou She saw Liu Yisheng out and took a deep breath. He now felt that the pressure at work was even greater than before. Afterwards, carrying a cup of hot water, he stepped back into You Yuanyuan’s bedroom with heavy footsteps.
“You Ye, have some water.” Zhou She handed him the cup.
You Yuanyuan drank quietly. Then he asked, “Did I lose my memory?”
Zhou She’s eyes lit up. “You Ye, did you recall your past memories?”
“I think,” You Yuanyuan set down the water cup and looked at his own arm, saying, “my body is very powerful. I just lightly punched the wall, and it cracked. So I was wondering if I used to be incredibly tough.”
As he spoke, he pointed at the wall by the head of the bed.
Zhou She looked at the cracked wall. “…”
Then he was overjoyed, exclaiming excitedly, “You Ye, your physical functions haven’t weakened! Get up, give me a kick, let me feel the force.”
“No, it will kick you to death,” You Yuanyuan seriously refused.
Zhou She was also afraid of being kicked to death by You Yuanyuan. He stood up, looked around, and dragged a wooden tea table over, pointing at it. “Kicking this should be fine, right?”
You Yuanyuan threw off the blanket, got out of bed, slid into his slippers, and delivered a kick. Instantly, the solid wooden tea table shattered into pieces.
Zhou She was ecstatic. Even an ordinary Alpha couldn’t do this. What top-tier Omega could be this strong? You Yuanyuan truly lived up to his name. Even after regressing and differentiating into an Omega, he was still as fierce and powerful as ever.
In his excitement, he went to pat You Yuanyuan’s shoulder. As a result, his world spun, and he was slammed onto the ground, his arm pinned behind his back. The pain almost made him pass out.
Zhou She almost forgot: never pat any bodyguard on the shoulder from behind. Especially You Yuanyuan, who could flip someone hard enough to break bones.
“Ah, sorry.” You Yuanyuan immediately let go of his arm and helped him up.
Forgetting the pain, tears of excitement almost streamed from Zhou She’s eyes. “You Ye, you’re still just as badass. Even though you’ve differentiated into an Omega, I still worship you the most.”
But soon, You Yuanyuan felt a bit physically drained. His body felt soft and achy, so he quickly sat back on the bed to recover. Finding Zhou She’s words very strange, he said, “What’s wrong with Omegas? Do Omegas not deserve to be worshiped? Omegas can be very amazing too. Isn’t this an era of egalitarianism? Whether it’s an Alpha, Beta, or Omega, everyone is equal.”
Zhou She felt he was being far too naive. Rubbing his shoulder, he said, “That’s what the law dictates, but in reality, people don’t see it that way. Alphas remain at the top of the food chain—competitive, aggressive, yearning for power, and craving conquest. Omegas are still the weak ones—fragile, delicate, and prey to be fought over. Betas remain in the middle—neither strong nor weak. They don’t have much competitive value, let alone ambition.”
You Yuanyuan frowned, seemingly quite depressed. Whenever he showed displeasure, he gave off a coldness that pushed people thousands of miles away.
In that instant, Zhou She felt as if the old You Yuanyuan had returned.
He continued, “When you were an Alpha, you didn’t approve of Omegas either. There isn’t a single Omega bodyguard in the entire company. Because you considered them weak.”
“I have a company too?” You Yuanyuan’s expression brightened.
Zhou She became smug. “Yes, you’re the Chairman of the most badass security company in Dongcheng. You have over a hundred of Dongcheng’s best bodyguards under your command. The company’s motto is ‘Guarantee protection for every employment.’ You slay gods and buddhas alike, invincible wherever you go. And they all take orders from you. Your status is extremely, extremely high, and you used to be incredibly, incredibly formidable. Therefore, you must never let anyone know you’ve differentiated into an Omega, nor that you’ve lost your memory. Otherwise, the consequences will be unthinkable.”
Not worried in the least, You Yuanyuan said, “I recall having a remarkably formidable S-grade Alpha by my side named… Xing Lie! Just make him my bodyguard and have him protect me at all times.”
Zhou She didn’t expect him to still remember Xing Lie even with amnesia. He pressed a hand to his forehead. “You Ye, let me tell you, you absolutely cannot let that bastard Xing Lie know your secret.”
“Why? Isn’t he the person I trust the most?” You Yuanyuan asked with an innocent face.
Zhou She: “No, he hates you the most.”
“Why?”
Zhou She: “There are many reasons for that. You once put him through inhumane solitary training, causing him severe psychological and physical trauma. You also repeatedly tried to force yourself on him, though unsuccessfully. He harbors a deep grudge against you and has been biding his time to grow his wings and split from you. He might even usurp your power and snatch your throne. He is the number one person you must guard against.”
You Yuanyuan looked astounded. Was he really… that perverted? A top-tier Alpha trying to force himself on another top-tier Alpha. Were his tastes that hardcore back then?
“D-Did I like him a lot?” You Yuanyuan asked with a strange expression.
Zhou She shook his head. “You didn’t like him. You just wanted to tame him.”
“Even if I wanted to tame him, I wouldn’t have gone that far, right?” You Yuanyuan simply couldn’t understand.
Zhou She shook his head again. “I’m not clear on that either, you never told me. You’ll find out once you get your memory back.”
You Yuanyuan frowned. He was an Omega now. Even though he was still tough, he wouldn’t be able to hold out for long. Furthermore, he could easily be suppressed by a top-tier Alpha’s pheromones. That made him absolutely no match for Xing Lie.
If Xing Lie found out he had lost his memory and regressed into an Omega, he would definitely find a way to take revenge.
He absolutely had to keep it a secret.
“Then I think… we should still split the company,” You Yuanyuan felt he couldn’t hide forever. “This way, my losses might be minimized.”
Zhou She felt that under these circumstances, You Yuanyuan was in a very difficult spot, so he respected his choice. “Alright.”
Suddenly, there was a knock at the bedroom door. The voice of the housekeeper, Tao Shu, sounded from outside: “You Ye, Xing Lie is here. He is sitting in the guest reception hall on the first floor waiting for you.”
The two in the bedroom exchanged a glance, acting as if they were facing a formidable enemy.
Zhou She checked his watch; it was past eleven at night. He furrowed his brows. “Ever since he moved out of here, he has never come looking for you this late.”
