Rebirth in the Apocalypse: My Little Space farm Chapter 27-28

Chapter 27 Teasing

Seven or eight hundred zombies might not sound like a lot, but when they came rushing forward, mindless and frenzied, gnashing their teeth and howling, the sheer sight was enough to make anyone tremble.

Watching another wave of zombies surge from every corner, Su Mo frowned, but quickly relaxed.

Her eyes widened in surprise as she watched Shen Shao Jie’s men. She discovered they all possessed abilities; one was even a rare ice-type.

Ice-type abilities are a variation of water-type, and in group combat, an ice-type ability user can often achieve unexpected results.

For example, the three men opposite her: one water-type, one wind-type, and one ice-type. The water-type user unleashed a torrent of water; the ice-type user froze and controlled the zombies; and the wind-type user, with greater offensive power, shattered the ice sculptures with wind blades, instantly eliminating a large number of zombies.

Su Mo raised an eyebrow. The three men’s combat style was clearly well-rehearsed; they were professionally trained. They were extremely familiar with each other, their ability control and coordination reaching peak levels.

In times of chaos, heroes emerge. In this world of survival of the fittest, ability users were the most valuable assets. These three men, without a doubt, could become powerful figures in this apocalypse, yet they willingly served under Shen Shao Jie, demonstrating the man’s intelligence and composure.

She detected no energy fluctuations from him, yet her intuition told her he was powerful, stronger than her at least.

So, Su Mo instinctively took a few steps back to create distance. This man was not someone she could provoke yet.

Perhaps it was her imagination, but the air was still intensely hot, the heat almost burning her skin, yet she felt a chill down her spine, causing her to shiver.

She turned to look at Shen Shao Jie. His lips were curled in a smirk, his devilish face displaying an amused expression. She swallowed, her gaze wavering, instinctively taking another step back.

“Heh,” a voice, laced with sarcasm, mockery, and a hint of anger, echoed.

Su Mo saw a flash of movement; before she could react, a figure appeared before her. Her eyes widened in alarm as she quickly retreated.

However, a strong hand clamped around her waist, pulling her forward into the other person’s arms.

Her head bumped against something, leaving her dazed. Then, a pleasant, magnetic voice chuckled in her ear, “Still haven’t developed yet, indeed quite small.”

Not developed yet? Quite small? Shit! She’d been hugged, groped, and insulted?

Several question marks flashed through her mind; she was practically furious. Su Mo, filled with rage, aimed a swift kick at his groin with her left leg while punching him in the chest with a power-infused right fist.

However, he was faster. He quickly dodged sideways, grabbing her fist with one hand and her waist with the other, pulling her into his embrace.

Instantly, he was holding her from behind, restricting her movement. Her pretty face flushed with anger, she roared, “Let go, pervert!”

“Heh,” Shen Shao Jie chuckled, noticing the blush on her cheeks, his teasing intensifying. “Not only small, but also bad-tempered.”

He leaned down, his devilish face exuding a hint of intimacy as he whispered in her ear, “Has no one told you that a man’s lower body isn’t something to kick at will? If you damage it, you’ll have to take responsibility. So, how are you going to be responsible to me?”

“Damn it, I didn’t even hit it, how could it be damaged?” Whether from anger or embarrassment, Su Mo’s face was red, and she roared.

Seeing her flushed and angry face, so adorable, Shen Shao Jie’s eyes twinkled with amusement. He smirked playfully, sighing, “How would you know if it’s damaged or not? Even though you didn’t hit it, it was still scared. What if it doesn’t get hard anymore? Whose fault is that?”

“You… you’re shameless,” Su Mo was practically beside herself, her face burning red, speechless.

The coldness and ruthlessness of the past life? The disinterest in women? The aloofness? To hell with the aloofness and ruthlessness! This wasn’t disinterest in women! Which bastard spread those rumors? Su Mo mentally roared.

Knowing that if he teased her any further, she would explode, Shen Shao Jie still couldn’t resist adding, “I’m only shameless towards you.”

Chapter 28 Negotiation

Having finished speaking, he quickly released her, a playful smirk on his devilish face.

The moment she was free, Su Mo quickly stepped aside, her beautiful eyes filled with anger and vigilance as she stared at Shen Shao Jie. Taking a deep breath, knowing she couldn’t beat him, she turned away, ignoring him.

The midday sun mercilessly baked the earth. The dirty streets were filled with the stench of decay; the air was thick with the smell of blood and carnage.

Whether because of the strong smell of blood or the control of the psychic zombie spirit, more and more zombies emerged from every corner.

The mall had initially contained seven or eight hundred zombies. Shen Shao Jie’s team, with the ice-type ability user, had eliminated most of them, but the gaps were immediately filled by a fresh wave of zombies from all directions. The numbers were even greater than before; their bloodthirsty ferocity was chilling. Even the five powerful men began to retreat.

Seeing this, Su Mo frowned, her eyes flashing with coldness.

“This is quite an interesting scene,” Shen Shao Jie, with a playful smirk on his handsome face, remarked lazily.

As the zombie horde slowly moved toward him, he turned to Su Mo, his expression relaxed, “Little thing, how about we cooperate?”

Raising an eyebrow, Su Mo sneered, “Why would I cooperate with you?”

“Hmm,” Shen Shao Jie seemed to ponder for a moment, his devilish eyes nonchalant. His smirk was arrogant, exuding a powerful aura. “If you need a reason, it’s this: The enemy is powerful, and you can’t defeat it alone.”

He paused, then looked at Su Mo with a playful smirk, seeing her puffed-up cheeks. He chuckled, “So, you need me?”

Su Mo’s eyes narrowed, a deep thought passing through them as she observed the man before her. Every movement, every gesture, exuded kingly dominance. His eyes were filled with wisdom. Squinting, she said, “If I’m not mistaken, you wouldn’t need me to deal with that zombie. Let me guess why you want me here.”

She paused, looking at him, her lips curving into a confident smile, “Unless, you can’t find it.”

“Hehehe,” a pleased, lazy voice responded. Shen Shao Jie’s eyes widened slightly. “Too smart women aren’t likable, though I do like you.”

Glaring fiercely at him, Su Mo coldly stated, “I refuse.”

“Such a heartbreaking statement,” Shen Shao Jie said, his voice sounding both sad and resentful, yet his deep eyes held no sadness, as if he’d expected this. He stared at her, a devilish smile on his face, nonchalantly saying, “Reason.”

“Why do you think I can find it?” Instead of answering, Su Mo raised her eyebrow.

“Intuition,” he replied, the two simple words brimming with certainty.

“Your intuition is terrible,” she scoffed, refusing to believe him.

“How can you know if it’s accurate unless you try? Besides, I enjoy challenges,” Shen Shao Jie said, his eyes fixed on Su Mo, a mysterious light flashing in his dark pupils.

His gaze was so intense, so profound, that Su Mo instinctively felt a surge of alertness.

“Little thing, I think you’d better stop staring like that. That kind of look usually makes me want to commit a crime,” his lazy tone held a hint of warning.

Su Mo looked at the man. He possessed a celestial grace, his aura wild yet noble, his eyes as deep as a pool. His devilish features were accentuated by a playful smirk, yet an infinite coldness shone in his eyes. Despite the bright sunshine, she felt a chill down her spine.

Gritting her teeth, knowing she was no match for him, Su Mo turned away. If she couldn’t fight him, she could at least avoid him. A sharp mind is more valuable than strength; she would settle this score another day.

Meanwhile, the zombies were multiplying, and Su Hao’s team was clearly struggling. Despite their teamwork, some zombies broke through, and a one-armed zombie lunged at Peng Yu, its jaws opening to bite him.

Su Mo’s pupils dilated. She quickly drew her silenced pistol and shot the zombie in the forehead, the sound of the gunshot and the zombie’s roar mingling together. However, more zombies rushed forward. She continued firing, yet more and more kept coming.

Su Mo’s lips tightened, her face cold. She heard Peng Yu’s breathless shout, “Mo Mo, drive! We can’t hold on!”

“Too bad, it seems you’re too late,” a gloating voice interrupted.

Su Mo turned to see Shen Shao Jie smiling serenely. “Let me guess how many zombies are behind you. Eight hundred? A thousand? Twelve hundred? Hmm, it seems more. Hehehe, little thing, do you think there might be more on the road ahead?”

Following his gaze, Su Mo’s face darkened.

The previously empty road was now swarming with zombies, completely blocking their path. Zombies also appeared on the streets behind them and in every corner. The once-quiet city was now filled with frenzied bloodlust.

“I… I’m screwed?!” Peng Yu practically leaped, his back prickling with cold sweat as he looked down the street.

“Damn it, the more we kill, the more there are,” Mong Yong said, his expression serious despite the killing aura surrounding him.

“Boss, this isn’t going to work. We need to retreat,” Long Yi, after blasting away several zombies with a fire punch, said to Gu Mo.

Gu Mo cut down a zombie’s head with his blade, freezing a small group of zombies with his ice ability. He pressed his lips together, “Trust the Young Master,” before continuing to fight.

Su Mo’s brow furrowed as the number of zombies increased, and a lazy voice echoed in her ear.
