Chapter 30 Clearing the Path
The number of zombies increased, and the smell of blood grew stronger.
Su Mo scanned her surroundings. Besides the large number of zombies blocking the road ahead, there was a large pile of corpses in front of the building.
No matter how many they killed, more and more zombies kept coming, completely blocking the entrance. It was as if they were protecting something.
She carefully observed the building’s structure. It was five stories tall; they had already been to the first two floors.
There were almost no zombies on the first floor, but the second floor was teeming with them. After they cleared the second floor, a large number of zombies appeared on the third, ultimately forcing them out of the building.
Considering this, all the phenomena made sense.
The psychic zombie spirit used powerful brainwaves to attack, but its physical body was extremely vulnerable; it usually hid in a safe place, surrounded by a large number of zombies for protection.
Therefore, the strongest defenses likely concealed its location.
Obviously, the psychic zombie spirit was most likely hiding in this building.
With this in mind, glancing at the five men, she turned to Shen Shao Jie, her beautiful eyes sparkling, a playful smirk on her lips. “Clearing a path for your men shouldn’t be difficult.”
“You’re quite demanding,” Shen Shao Jie chuckled, a hint of amusement in his lazy demeanor.
Su Mo rolled her eyes, ignoring his teasing. Free help was free help.
Time ticked by, the fighting continued, and just as the five men were beginning to tire, a sudden thunderstorm erupted. Thick, dark purple thunderbolts, as thick as arms, crackled in the sky, their light filled with destructive energy. They gathered menacingly overhead, darkening the sky.
“Such powerful abilities,” Mong Yong exclaimed in awe, watching the dark purple thunder.
A chilling aura filled the darkened sky. Long Yi looked stunned, “Such a terrifying aura.”
Even Gu Mo frowned. They had seen various ability users in the two months since the apocalypse, but they had never encountered one with such powerful control.
He couldn’t help but look at her more closely.
As everyone marveled at the thunderstorm, a maniac’s laughter echoed, followed by a familiar, irritating voice, “Hahaha… Mo Mo, use your electricity, electrocute them!”
Su Mo’s hand holding her abilities trembled. Looking at the fool who was laughing, her face darkened, and she gritted her teeth, “Peng Yu…”
A sinister voice cut him off. Peng Yu flinched, stiffly turning his head. Seeing Su Mo’s dark face, he quickly jumped back, “Ah, hehe, don’t get excited, don’t get excited, you should just… uh… build up the energy…”
Swallowing hard, Peng Yu shrank his neck, muttering, “I just wanted to add some excitement to this thrilling moment! I’m actually a handsome guy when I’m quiet.”
Su Mo stumbled, several black lines appearing on her forehead.
Even Gu Mo and the others couldn’t help but twitch their mouths, speechless.
Su Hao facepalmed and took a step back. He really didn’t know this occasionally erratic young man.
“Are you all suicidal?” A cold voice echoed, accompanied by the sound of shattering ice.
A flying corpse smashed into the pile of frozen zombies, instantly shattering the ice and sending corpses flying.
Looking at the source of the sound, Mong Yong’s forehead beaded with sweat. He shrank his neck; the Young Master was angry, and his anger was terrifying. It was best not to speak and avoid becoming a target.
Gu Mo and the others did the same, standing silently.
Shen Shao Jie lazily took a couple of steps, his dark eyes coldly scanning the entrance to the building.
It was a large glass door; they could clearly see the frenzied figures of the zombies inside, their roars and gnashing teeth accompanied by the blood-curdling sight of their flailing arms.
With a slight, mocking smirk, Shen Shao Jie lightly snapped his fingers, “Clear the way.”

I don’t know if anyone is reading this. Perhaps my writing isn’t very good, but I want to write the story in my heart. I apologize for the slow updates recently. Things have been busy at home, quite noisy, with many visitors. It’s been hard to concentrate on writing. I want to write every sentence well; it’s my responsibility to myself and the readers. I often read my writing many times before posting. I hope everyone understands. Updates should improve in a couple of days.

Chapter 31 Electrifying Corpses
Without further words, the three exchanged a serious look and gathered together.
“Big Brother, you two retreat,” Su Mo said. The thunder in the sky intensified, the terrifying atmosphere and the frightening lightning making even Su Mo’s forehead bead with sweat.
Frowning, Su Hao pressed his lips together, saying nothing but pulling Peng Yu back as requested.
“Use water,” Su Mo said, her voice cold as hordes of zombies surged forward. Her pretty face was pale.
Of the seven, only Long Yi possessed water abilities. He looked at Shen Shao Jie without moving, seemingly seeking his approval.
Shen Shao Jie smiled faintly, then nodded towards him, “Do as she says.”
Long Yi, slightly surprised, nodded without questioning. He quickly unleashed his abilities, and water began to spread across the ground.
“Freeze it, stop the water from flowing this way,” Su Mo said quickly, seeing the water flowing towards them.
Understanding her intentions, Gu Mo instantly created a rectangular wall of ice around their area.
The water grew deeper, and the zombies more numerous. Seeing the zombies from the mall surge forward, Su Mo’s eyes flashed with excitement, “Now!”
“Rumble…”
“Crackle… Fizz…”
Terrifying sounds and the smell of burning flesh instantly filled the street.
“Holy crap!” Mong Yong wiped the sweat from his forehead, swallowing hard.
The large number of zombies gathered in front of the mall were now surrounded by water; the thunder struck them, causing their bodies to convulse electrically.
Their ugly faces and frantic roars were horrifying.
Arms crossed, Su Mo touched her chin, her eyes thoughtful, muttering, “Hmm, not powerful enough.”
What? Not powerful enough? Gu Mo and the others were speechless.
Su Mo’s eyes lit up suddenly, “I have an idea.”
She pulled a miniature generator from her spatial ring and placed it on the ground. Then, taking a long extension cord, she cut off the plug and connected the other end to the generator’s output socket.
Su Mo looked at the large group of zombies with mischief in her eyes, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. “Enjoy the electric thrill.”
With that, she quickly pressed the button and threw the cord into the water.
An electric current, accompanied by a sizzling sound, spread through the water.
The zombies, who had just recovered, convulsed violently, their decaying arms flailing wildly as they roared.
In an instant, many zombies were electrocuted, falling to the ground.
The smell of burning flesh intensified, mixing with the stench of blood. The electric current’s range expanded, creating a spectacular sight of frenzied, chaotic movement.
A bead of sweat trickled down Mong Yong’s forehead. He swallowed nervously, his eyes fixed on Su Mo, shrinking back slightly.
He finally understood why the Young Master and this girl got along so well; birds of a feather flock together.
Soon, the zombies in front of the mall were falling in heaps.
Long Yi retracted his abilities, surprise flashing in his eyes, “Such a powerful current.”
“You should be more concerned that she’s a dual-type ability user, just like you,” Gu Mo said, a deep thought in his eyes.
The sun began to set, the temperature cooling down visibly.
Shen Shao Jie surveyed the scene, a lazy smile on his face, seemingly amused and teasing, “Quite entertaining.”
Ignoring him, Su Mo glanced around. Most of the hundreds of zombies had fallen. Putting away the generator, she turned to Su Hao, “Big Brother, leave this to you. I’m going upstairs with him.”
Frowning, Su Hao’s face darkened. After a moment, he pressed his lips together, saying nothing, but his gaze was vigilant as he looked at Shen Shao Jie. Then, in a hoarse voice, he said, “Be careful.”
Glancing at Shen Shao Jie, Su Mo snorted, “Big Brother, don’t worry, I know.”
Shen Shao Jie stroked his chin, a devilish smile on his face. The girl seemed to need a little more discipline.
Hmm, but her proud demeanor was quite pleasing. He would indulge her for now.
Dust flew, and gloom descended.
Time passed quickly. Following the icy path created by Gu Mo, they swiftly entered the mall.
As soon as they entered, a hoarse roar erupted, and a zombie lunged at them.
Dodging quickly, Su Mo drew her silenced pistol. Bullets flew, blood splattered, and the zombie fell.
“Good marksmanship,” Shen Shao Jie complimented, a playful smile on his lips.
Raising her eyebrows, Su Mo responded without hesitation, “Of course.”
In her ten years in the apocalypse, even if her aim wasn’t perfect, she was still a skilled shot within a hundred meters. She deserved that compliment.
Shen Shao Jie’s eyes sparkled at her proud demeanor. He chuckled softly; this feeling was surprisingly pleasant.
Sounds echoed from around them; the commotion mixed with low growls. Su Mo kicked away another zombie and looked around.
The mall was in disarray; the shelves were gone, and ugly zombies were scattered across the uneven floor.
Many more zombies, their bodies decaying, necks twisted, and eyes bulging with pus, were crawling from the hallways.
Su Mo pulled an assault rifle from her spatial ring and tossed it to Shen Shao Jie, her voice icy, “Quick and decisive.”
Catching the rifle one-handed, Shen Shao Jie smirked, “Hmm, it’s been a while since I’ve held a gun. It brings back memories.”
