THE REBATE SYSTEM OF SUDDEN WEALTH CHAPTER 65

Chapter 65: Campus Walls

The comments on the follow-up post were overwhelmingly negative and abusive towards Gu Wanrong.

: Wow, from a wealthy heiress to a gold digger.

: Social media personas are unreliable.

: Can the poster post a clear photo? I want to see what this woman looks like; she must be charming to get so much money.

: Does anyone have contact information for that guy? I’m not short of money either.

: With that figure, what man could resist?

Gu Wanrong was furious. Yu Yingying noticed and leaned in to see what was happening.

“Pay attention in class,” Gu Wanrong mouthed to Yu Yingying.

Gu Wanrong opened her Weibo private messages (999+). The messages were full of abuse, solicitations, and vulgar comments. Even her previous posts had turned toxic.

If not for Gu Wanrong’s report on Can Yi, her Weibo account would likely be trending.

Gu Wanrong checked “Wasteful Talk Senior”‘s posts again.

Based on the tone, she suspected it was Jiang Yanyao or Xu Rong.

While personal information was hidden, and her account was encrypted, it was still possible for familiar people to recognize her. Liu Zhan was an example.

If someone shared it to the school forum, even with proof, people might not believe her.

Gu Wanrong posted a clarification on her “Money to Burn” account.

“The accusations in ‘Wasteful Talk Senior’s’ posts are false. ‘Wasteful Talk Senior’ and other accounts should delete related posts, or I will take legal action.”

Gu Wanrong logged out. She knew it would only fuel the fire, and that’s what she wanted.

Gu Wanrong knew her introverted nature stemmed partly from her average appearance. She’d longed to be beautiful, but her beauty now brought malicious speculation.

Women, regardless of their appearance, face discrimination and attacks. This often involves spreading rumors, especially sexual rumors.

Countless women have struggled to clear their names, yet few listen. They’re condemned and shamed.

People do this for satisfaction, to take opportunities and power, or erase accomplishments…

Gu Wanrong realized that simply getting Pai Peng Daily to apologize wasn’t enough; she’d overlooked the malicious commenters.

She hoped this would escalate, drawing more people, so she could sue more individuals, resulting in harsher penalties. They needed to learn a lesson.

The culprits would also face serious consequences.

Classes ended quickly.

Gu Wanrong, arm in arm with Yu Yingying, answered her questions while checking the database for Jiang Yanyao and Xu Rong’s recent activities. As expected, Jiang Yanyao started it, and Xu Rong arranged it.

Suddenly, Liu Zhan gasped, staring at Gu Wanrong, “Look at the campus wall, the posts are there!”

They checked the campus wall. The first post was what Liu Zhan mentioned.

“A freshman is disgracing our university. She’s become famous for being a mistress. Pictures xn”

: If you’re broke, don’t pretend to be rich and get a sugar daddy.

: Here’s the person – freshman Gu Wanrong in the Chinese Language Department Class 1.

: Isn’t this the goddess you all confessed to on the wall? Feeling embarrassed now?

: Recommend expulsion. I don’t want this kind of “famous” alumna.

: She’s dating an older man. Impressive.

: She’s supposedly an orphan, but her lifestyle is extravagant.

Yu Yingying looked at Gu Wanrong with worry, fearing she would be upset.

Gu Wanrong remained calm. After reading, she closed her phone, smiled slightly, and said, “Don’t worry. I expected this. I even hope it escalates.”

The others were stunned.

Gu Wanrong explained, “To destroy something, first make it go crazy. Only when it’s big enough will the perpetrators face consequences. I want this to blow up so I can resolve it all at once.”

After reassuring them, Gu Wanrong left for Luo Qingquan’s law firm.

Upon arrival, a receptionist greeted her, “Ms. Gu, Mr. Luo is waiting for you in his office.”

After closing the door, Gu Wanrong sent the posts to Luo Qingquan.

She said, “I know who did it. Find evidence. They must pay, and so must the malicious followers.”

Luo Qingquan nodded, “Understood, Ms. Gu.” He added, “Should we address the online discussion now?”

Gu Wanrong shook her head, “No, let it grow. They need a lesson.”

“Understood. I’ll start collecting evidence.”

Gu Wanrong continued, “Draft a contract for me…”

A ringtone interrupted. It was her advisor. She knew why.

She answered, “Hello, Teacher Chen, what’s wrong?”

The advisor said, “The school leaders want to talk to you about the rumors. Come to the dean’s office.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up, Gu Wanrong said to Luo Qingquan, “I need to see the school leaders; come with me.”
