Chapter 4: Marry Me
Since they entered through the VIP channel, there wasn’t much attention drawn to them on the way from the car to the examination room.
A few passersby did stop, admiring the sight of a tall, handsome Alpha carrying his Omega into the hospital, commenting on how striking they looked together.
Ye Chiyu held Su Tang tightly, his possessive nature flaring as he released a faint but unmistakable wave of pheromones, declaring his ownership to those around them.
Su Tang’s heart raced the entire way, feeling like it was about to burst from his chest. It wasn’t until they were inside the examination room that he tugged on Ye Chiyu’s sleeve, signaling that he wanted to walk on his own.
The little guy had a bit of pride.
Ye Chiyu raised an eyebrow but didn’t refuse. Instead, he offered his arm like a gentleman. “Hold onto me. Don’t put weight on your right foot.”
Su Tang bit his lip and quietly hummed in agreement, though he only grabbed onto Ye Chiyu’s sleeve.
The doctor examined Su Tang’s X-ray and confirmed that there was no bone damage. However, when checking his injury, Su Tang’s face turned pale from the pain. Instantly, the Alpha released a trace of soothing pheromones, causing Su Tang’s expression to relax significantly.
Su Tang silently marveled at the benefits of having an Alpha and politely looked into Ye Chiyu’s eyes, saying, “Thank you.”
What a well-behaved child.
Ye Chiyu’s expression softened. “It’s what I should do.”
After the doctor prescribed some medicine and gave a few instructions, Ye Chiyu brought Su Tang back to the car.
“Mr. Ye, about last night…”
It was time to talk. Su Tang awkwardly opened his mouth, trying to start the conversation.
“Indeed, we do need to talk about what happened last night.”
Ye Chiyu sat up straight, his expression unchanged as he loosened his tie with his slender fingers.
The Alpha released a small amount of pheromones, and Su Tang’s body instinctively reacted, feeling a flush of heat.
“Su Tang, last night was an accident. But I did mark you. I’m sorry. It was an emergency, and I had no other choice.”
“It’s not… I just didn’t know how to process it. After all, it was my…”
Su Tang fell silent for a moment, clenching his fists as his face turned bright red.
“My first time.”
Ye Chiyu’s brows furrowed deeply, and he stared seriously at Su Tang.
“Marry me, Su Tang. I’ll take responsibility.”
“No way!”
Marry someone he just met? Absolutely not!
Su Tang shook his head furiously, moving as far away from Ye Chiyu as possible, practically pressing himself against the car window.
Qi Yuan, driving up front, couldn’t help but stifle his laughter as he overheard the conversation.
His boss had been secretly protecting Su Tang for years, and if he hadn’t happened upon Su Tang’s heat last night, who knows when he would have gotten the chance.
But still, proposing marriage out of the blue, even if he had been planning this for a long time—what if it scared the poor kid away?
Ye Chiyu remained serious, showing no signs of disappointment.
“Su Tang, last night was the first time I’ve ever marked anyone. Before you, I’ve never marked anyone else.”
For years, he had silently watched over Su Tang, though the little guy didn’t know that.
Su Tang felt like crying.
The way he said it, it was almost as if Su Tang had forced him to stay pure for him.
But hearing that such a top-tier Alpha had never marked anyone before made Su Tang suddenly feel like losing his first time wasn’t such a bad deal.
“Still, no.”
His tone was less resolute than before.
Ye Chiyu quietly watched Su Tang, his eyes gradually filling with a warm smile, making him look devastatingly handsome.
“Even though we met under such chaotic circumstances, Su Tang, from the moment I saw you, I liked you.”
Faced with such a ridiculously handsome Alpha confessing to him, Su Tang’s first reaction was to think he was lying.
But that top-tier Alpha’s seductive allure and Su Tang’s weakness for good looks made his heart race once again.
Su Tang slowly lowered his head, his ears turning red, and mumbled in embarrassment, his voice barely above a whisper.
“But we can’t just… get married right away, right?”
Ye Chiyu didn’t say anything for a long time.
Su Tang began thinking to himself, *See, he was just playing with me…*
Just as he was lost in thought, Ye Chiyu suddenly leaned forward, half-squatting in front of him, making sure Su Tang could see his face.
His expression was one of helplessness, but his eyes sparkled with affection, looking so sincere that Su Tang couldn’t help but believe him. His heart skipped a beat.
“My family is very traditional. Once an Alpha marks someone, they have to marry that person. Otherwise, they lose their inheritance and their assets, and they’re sent abroad to fend for themselves.”
Su Tang listened quietly, his mind blank, his heart pounding.
“I’ve never been interested in anyone before. I was prepared to spend my life alone. But Su Tang,” Ye Chiyu sighed, his voice filled with sadness and grievance, “I like you. You have to take responsibility for me.”
Who could resist an Alpha acting like a big puppy, full of affection? Su Tang could almost see a big fluffy tail wagging behind Ye Chiyu.
His last bit of reasoning was crumbling. Su Tang suddenly thought that if he had to marry someone, this Alpha in front of him wouldn’t be a bad choice.
Still, he tried to make one last weak protest.
“But… I’m still young…”
“Oh, so you think I’m too old?” Ye Chiyu’s voice sounded wounded.
“I’m twenty-eight. Compared to you,” he glanced at Su Tang’s soft, youthful face, then looked away, “I guess I am much older.”
“You’re not old! Not at all! Really!”
Su Tang’s guilt shot through the roof.
“It’s me who’s not good enough for you. You’re so young, I understand if you don’t want to marry an old man like me.”
Ye Chiyu continued to sound dejected.
“No! I didn’t mean you were old, and I don’t not want to marry you!”
Su Tang panicked, trying to explain, his words stumbling over each other.
“So, are you agreeing?”
The Alpha’s strong pheromones suddenly flooded the air, and Su Tang’s last shred of rationality quickly fled.
Biting his lip, Su Tang nodded.
“Mm.”
