I Have a Pocket Dimension to Raise Beastmen Husbands, and the Fierce Female Became a Group Favorite chapter 2

Chapter 2: She Possessed a Miraculous Healing Ability

Su Muyao hadn’t expected it to be Wen Nanxi, her snake beastman husband.

She could feel his life force was incredibly weak; he truly was on the brink of death.

With no time to think about anything else, Su Muyao rushed forward and placed her hand on Wen Nanxi’s head.

Hua Linye’s face paled. “What are you doing? He’s already dying, are you not going to spare him even now?”

In his panic, Hua Linye dropped his usual facade, not even bothering to call her ‘Wife Master’.

In the world of beastmen, no matter how powerful their family background or abilities were, once they were bound to a Wife Master, they were sworn to honor her above all else.

A dark glint passed through Xiao Jihan’s cold eyes, his body tensing.

Was she so impatient that she was going to kill Wen Nanxi right here and now?

Su Muyao had no time to deal with them. She was focusing her faint wood-elemental ability to heal Wen Nanxi’s wounds.

At that moment, Lin Qin, who had been sighing with pity, suddenly noticed that Wen Nanxi’s injuries were closing.

She stared at Su Muyao in shock, then saw the green glow emanating from her hands.

“Sister, you… you have an ability? You can heal wounds?”

“Heavens, you… you’re incredible!” Lin Qin gasped, her eyes practically bulging out of her head.

As Su Muyao channeled her power into Wen Nanxi, her consciousness seemed to slip into his sea of consciousness.

She found herself in a bamboo forest, looking at a giant Green Bamboo Snake.

He was coiled around a thick stalk of bamboo. His scales, normally a vibrant, beautiful green, were now dull and still bleeding from his many wounds.

He looked at Su Muyao calmly and flickered his forked tongue weakly. “Wife Master?”

Even at a time like this, his voice was gentle.

It was completely different from the on-edge, hostile demeanor of Xiao Jihan and Hua Linye.

He possessed a genuine gentleness that seemed to radiate from his very bones, as soft as apricot blossoms in the spring rain.

Su Muyao walked toward him and reached out to touch his body.

He flinched slightly but didn’t refuse or pull away.

For some reason, her heart softened. She placed her hand on him. “Don’t worry, your wounds will heal. You’re going to be okay.”

As she spoke, Su Muyao released her wood-elemental ability.

A green light enveloped Wen Nanxi’s entire body.

The external wounds on his snake form began to slowly mend.

The pain wracking his body subsided, replaced by a soothing warmth, as if he were basking in the gentle sun.

A look of astonishment appeared on Wen Nanxi’s face.

Su Muyao actually had an ability, and it was the legendary healing-type.

“Thank you for your efforts in healing me, Wife Master,” Wen Nanxi said softly.

“There’s no need to thank me,” Su Muyao replied. “This is what I should be doing.”

According to her predecessor’s memories, she knew that in the world of beastmen, while husbands were obligated to protect and care for their Wife Master, the Wife Master also had a duty to heal her husbands’ injuries and soothe their spiritual consciousness to stabilize their powers.

Of course, the original Su Muyao had never done any of this.

Mainly because her husbands had never been willing to let her touch them.

Wen Nanxi could sense a different aura coming from Su Muyao now.

After what felt like an eternity, Wen Nanxi’s injuries had mostly recovered. Only then did Su Muyao stop.

She had over-exerted her wood-elemental ability and promptly fainted.

The moment she collapsed, Wen Nanxi, now fully awake, transformed from his snake form back into a man and caught her in his arms.

“Wife Master!”

Seeing she was unconscious, he gently scooped her up and carried her into the house.

Xiao Jihan and Hua Linye wore expressions of utter disbelief.

“She actually awakened an ability, and it’s a healing one.”

“If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it.”

“Back in the Beast Imperial City, everyone called her useless. No one would have ever guessed she had a hidden power.”

“I’ve never heard of a female awakening an ability before.”

“She seems… different from before.”

“Regardless, the fact she was willing to use her power to heal Wen Nanxi is a good change.”

Still, Xiao Jihan’s and Hua Linye’s expressions remained grave.

Xiao Jihan said, “With Wen Nanxi injured and back, we have no food left in the house. I’ll go hunting first thing in the morning.”

“I’ll go too. Let Wen Nanxi rest at home and protect her.”

The five of them still depended on Su Muyao for their survival; they couldn’t let anything happen to her.

If Su Muyao were to die in this exiled land, they would be forced to die with her.

For now, though, only the three of them were still looking after her. The other two were often gone, as if they had vanished completely.

When Su Muyao woke up again, it was the next morning.

The room was empty.

She got up to wash her face and saw her reflection in the basin of water.

She remembered now. One side of her face was fine, but the other was blackened and disfigured, a frightening sight.

The original Su Muyao had been deeply insecure about her appearance which, combined with the effects of the poison, made her prone to violent outbursts.

But Su Muyao knew that as long as she could cure the poison, her looks would be restored.

Stepping out of the room, she saw a breathtakingly handsome man in the courtyard, chopping firewood with his ability.

He was dressed in bamboo-green animal hides, his figure as tall and elegant as jade. His features were refined and picturesque, exquisitely perfect, as if his spirit were made of autumn water and his bones of jade.

His aura was like snow on the mountains, like the moon among the clouds.

The morning sun bathed him in a golden light, giving him an ethereal, otherworldly quality, as if he might ascend to the heavens at any moment.

Wen Nanxi seemed to hear her, turning his head in her direction. “Wife Master, you’re awake,” he said, his voice clear and gentle.

Su Muyao nodded. “Yes.”

She wasn’t quite used to interacting with these beastmen husbands.

But for now, in this world, she needed their protection.

The natural energy here was dense, and the lush green vegetation all around was the perfect fuel for her wood-elemental ability.

Even just by sleeping, her power had easily recovered, though it still hadn’t reached first-tier strength.

Wen Nanxi put down the firewood and went to the kitchen, returning with two red fruits and two bird eggs, which he offered to her.

“This is all the food we have in the house right now. I’m sorry to have wronged you, Wife Master. Xiao Jihan and Hua Linye went hunting early this morning, so they should bring something back.”

“Yesterday was my fault.”

It had been his turn to hunt, but because he’d gotten injured, he hadn’t been able to kill any beasts, leaving them without food for the day.

Now, they could only rely on Xiao Jihan and Hua Linye.

Su Muyao knew the environment of the Bei Luo Tribe was harsh and that finding food was difficult.

Even though her five husbands had third-tier strength and were capable hunters, the surrounding forests were teeming with all kinds of dangers.

It was common to go hungry. People in the exiled tribe died frequently, either killed by wild animals and demonic beasts, or from starvation and disease.

“It’s fine,” Su Muyao said. “I’ll start a fire and cook.”

In the world of beastmen, many remote and primitive villages ate the meat of wild beasts raw.

But her predecessor had grown up in the Beast Imperial City, which had a more advanced culture where people were accustomed to eating cooked food.

Because of this, her husbands would regularly chop firewood for cooking.

Wen Nanxi moved to help her, and Su Muyao didn’t refuse.

He watched her with a probing gaze.

She had never once offered to cook before.

Wen Nanxi started the fire while Su Muyao used the bird eggs and red fruits to make a soup.

Thankfully, they had some salt they had bartered for.

When it was ready, she gave one bowl to Wen Nanxi and kept one for herself.

Wen Nanxi had never seen food like this, let alone cooked this way.

“These red fruits, where did you find them?”

They called them ‘red fruits,’ but she recognized them as tomatoes. With tomatoes, she could make all sorts of dishes.

She could even make tomato sauce and sell it in the city.

Given their current situation, they had to find a way to improve their lives.

They couldn’t just rely on hunting, which was fraught with danger.

But first, she needed to gather enough medicinal herbs to detoxify this body.
