All the Furries in the Academy Want to Pet Me chapter 12.1

Chapter 12 part 1

Yan He was so certain thanks to his female colleagues, who had thoroughly educated him on the protagonist shou Bai Yuzhou’s character.

This was a person who dared to go head-to-head with the F4. No matter how much he was bullied or how much he suffered, he never shed a single tear. Could a tough-as-nails character like that really be a green tea bitch? That would be completely out of character.

Besides, Yan He had seen the bloody scratches on Bai Yuzhou’s neck and arms with his own eyes. Each one was more horrifying than the last. If it were him, he probably wouldn’t have been able to take it.

Pan Ze hadn’t expected that the very wounds he had intentionally inflicted in conspicuous places to show off his strength and achievements would be used against him by this bastard. No wonder Bai Yuzhou had only attacked areas that could be covered by clothing. His intentions were truly sinister.

“Are you really going to take this animal to the school clinic?” Pan Ze sneered at the two of them.

Yan He thought for a moment and nodded.

As long as he wasn’t forced to make a final choice between the F4 and Bai Yuzhou, there was no need to offend the future new king of the academy.

A true corporate slave knew how to bet on both sides.

Yan He stole a glance at Bai Yuzhou and marveled internally. As expected of the forbearing protagonist. He didn’t even flinch when a cannon-fodder villain called him an animal to his face.

“Get in the car! I need to see a doctor too!” Pan Ze grit his teeth.

He was determined to show Yan He who was really more injured.

Hearing this, Yan He immediately helped Bai Yuzhou into the car. Pan Ze clutched his own stomach, which was throbbing with pain, and stomped on the gas, cursing as they sped towards the school clinic.

Bestia Academy’s clinic operated on a 24-hour rotation. It was so large that Yan He felt it was on par with any top-tier public hospital. He heard that it had been entirely funded by the family of Xu Shao, one of the F4, making it a private, monopolized healthcare industry.

The doctors and nurses were clearly used to students getting into fights in their beast forms and immediately arranged for their wounds to be treated.

Yan He stared as Pan Ze lifted his uniform shirt, revealing a gash on his abdomen so deep that bone was visible. He gasped in shock. “Damn, Pan Shao! Was the beast that attacked you that ferocious?”

Pan Ze immediately shot a furious glare at Bai Yuzhou, who simply curved his lips into a small smile and said nothing, quietly allowing a male nurse to treat his wounds.

What the hell? How is this different? When he saw Bai Yuzhou’s “serious” injuries, he was worried. When he saw his serious injuries, he was praising the beast that did it? So Yan He was playing favorites with that specially-enrolled student, was he? A two-faced dog!

“Ferocious my ass! It’s just a flesh wound,” Pan Ze yelled.

The doctor asked Yan He to wait outside, as they needed to examine and treat other, more private areas.

After Yan He left, the doctor typed out a prescription while speaking to Pan Ze and Bai Yuzhou. “We’ve treated the wounds for now. To prevent you from developing a fever and infection that could trigger a transformation, I recommend you both get a shot.”

Bai Yuzhou’s expression faltered slightly. “How much is it?”

The doctor had noticed the copper nameplate on his chest, indicating he was a specially-enrolled student. “The academy has a discount policy for students,” he said reassuringly. “After 90% reimbursement, one shot is just over a thousand yuan.”

Bai Yuzhou suppressed the dim look in his eyes, stood up, and put on his uniform jacket. “I’m fine. I don’t need it.”

Pan Ze looked at Bai Yuzhou’s retreating back with contempt and announced loudly, “I’ll take one. If one isn’t enough, give me two! I’ll pay the full price!”

Damn pauper.

How did a specially-enrolled student, so poor he couldn’t even afford a transformation-prevention shot, have the guts to offend him and Yun Shao?

Yan He saw Bai Yuzhou come out alone. “How is it?”

“I’m fine,” Bai Yuzhou said simply. “I just need to buy a box of ibuprofen. Senior Pan is getting a shot, so he said we can go first.”

Probably a rabies shot.

Yan He knew that the rich young masters were proud and probably didn’t want him, a fellow lackey, to know they had to get a shot. He accompanied Bai Yuzhou to buy a box of ibuprofen and then they left the clinic.

The two walked under the dim streetlights, the strange calls of beasts echoing around them.

“The security in this academy is a bit lacking. It’s built in the mountains, yet they let wild beasts break in and attack students.”

The key point was that the vast majority of students were from wealthy families. Would their parents really not worry, knowing their children were studying in such an environment? Yan He truly didn’t understand.

Bai Yuzhou looked at Yan He’s profile in surprise. A thought suddenly occurred to him.

Yan He… seemed to be unaware of the secret that all the students at Bestia Academy shared.

“Yan He,” Bai Yuzhou called out, his voice suddenly hoarse, his eyes filled with a complex mix of emotions. “What if Pan Ze hadn’t been willing to give me a ride just now?”

Bai Yuzhou felt like he was going crazy, asking such a forward question to a new roommate he had only known for two days.

And yet, he suddenly wanted to know. He desperately, particularly wanted to know!

Even though he knew Yan He was Yun Xiao’s new lackey, he still wanted to know how he would have treated him, his specially-enrolled roommate. Bai Yuzhou didn’t understand why he was feeling this way.

Yan He laughed. “What else could I do? I would’ve carried you to the clinic, of course.”

His cold was almost gone. He was a healthy eighteen-year-old, after all. Carrying a person wasn’t that big of a deal.

Bai Yuzhou’s pupils constricted. He stood under the streetlight, staring at Yan He, his throat working as he suppressed a wave of turbulent emotions.

“W-Why?”

Yan He kicked at a pebble on the ground, a little embarrassed. “Uh, I just think you have a lot of potential. Don’t forget me when you’re rich and famous in the future.”

Yan He wasn’t a saint. Besides the inherent kindness left in his humanity, he was also thinking about betting on both sides, hoping to bask in Bai Yuzhou’s protagonist halo in the future.

After all, this was the future new king of the academy, the one who would eventually be acknowledged by all of the F4. He was going to be the angel investor.

Bai Yuzhou’s chest heaved rapidly, pulling at the wounds beneath the gauze. They split open, and fresh blood stained the bandages. The hand hidden behind his back transformed into a sharp wolf’s claw due to the intense emotional turmoil.

His father had committed a crime, and his mother had run off with another man. He had been raised by his grandmother since he was a child. In the village, he was the most ostracized. No one had ever thought he had potential, that he had a bright future.

And now, Yan He had said it.

A light that had never been there before ignited in Bai Yuzhou’s eyes, at the very moment the clock struck midnight.

He didn’t know if his intentions were too obvious, but Bai Yuzhou didn’t say much more until they returned to the specially-enrolled students’ dormitory.

After washing up, Yan He flopped onto his bed and admired his gold ingot and little gold nugget. He wondered if he would ever have such a good opportunity to pick up a nameplate again. He would definitely sign up for it.

He browsed the academy forum for a while. Besides a bunch of rich kids proclaiming that Bai Yuzhou had offended Yun Shao and was doomed, there was no fresh news. Then he saw an unread message in his chat.

Yan He tilted his head. Huh?

He Ting had sent this message over a dozen hours ago. He was only seeing it now. But… what did it mean?

Satisfied, Yan He closed the Meng Shou app, scrolled through some short videos, and went to sleep.
