After Giving Up, My Rich Ex-Husband Begged Me to Return CHAPTER 134

Chapter 134: He Was Simply a Pervert

Huo Qingyan finally found his voice, only to discover his throat was incredibly dry when he spoke.

“I’ll go get you some water.” His deep voice was so soft it was as if he were afraid of startling Jiang Su.

“Mm.” Jiang Su moved his head, his cheek buried in the pillow, his eyes fixed on Huo Qingyan, as clean and innocent as a small animal’s.

Huo Qingyan’s heart felt like melting butter, collapsing inward.

Jiang Su closed his eyes again, his voice thick with sleepiness. “Thanks, Da Xu.”

Although he had already guessed that Jiang Su wasn’t fully awake, Huo Qingyan couldn’t help but feel a pang of bitterness upon hearing his words.

No one had lived in the villa for a long time. Huo Qingyan searched the kitchen for a while and finally found a case of water that Jiang Su had stockpiled at some point.

It wasn’t expired…

Huo Qingyan washed a glass and brought both it and the water upstairs.

Jiang Su had fallen asleep again.

Huo Qingyan sat on the edge of the bed and called him softly, “Jiang Su, do you still want water?”

“Yes.”

Jiang Su’s eyes fluttered open as he tried to sit up, but his head was too heavy, and he fell back onto the bed with a thump.

A flicker of amusement crossed Huo Qingyan’s eyes.

He helped Jiang Su up, poured water into the glass, and held it to his lips.

After drinking, Jiang Su went limp as if he had no bones and slid bonelessly back onto the bed.

Huo Qingyan turned to put the glass back, only to hear a rustling sound from the bed.

When he looked back, he saw that Jiang Su had not only gotten up but was now standing on the bed.

He swayed precariously, making Huo Qingyan’s heart leap into his throat.

“What’s wrong?” Worried he would fall, Huo Qingyan reached out to steady him.

Jiang Su brushed his hand away and muttered with a frown, “…”

Huo Qingyan didn’t hear him clearly. “What did you say?”

As he spoke, Huo Qingyan kept a hand out to block Jiang Su from getting down.

Jiang Su shouted angrily, “I have to pee!”

If it wasn’t urgent, he probably wouldn’t have shouted so loudly.

Jiang Su pushed him aside and jumped off the bed, nearly falling to the ground from his unstable center of gravity. Fortunately, Huo Qingyan caught him.

Huo Qingyan led him to the bathroom. “Can you manage on your own?”

Even while drunk, Jiang Su instinctively defended his masculine dignity. “You’re the one who can’t.”

Huo Qingyan silently closed the door and waited outside.

He wouldn’t argue with a drunkard.

He waited outside for a long while but heard no movement from within.

“Jiang Su…”

Huo Qingyan pushed the door open to find Jiang Su sitting on the toilet, head hanging, struggling with the zipper on his pants.

Hearing the door open, Jiang Su looked up, his already red face turning an even deeper shade of crimson. He called out to Huo Qingyan for help, “It’s stuck…”

The zipper was caught, unable to move up or down.

Jiang Su was already in a hurry, and his drunken, blurred vision only made him more flustered.

The way he looked up at Huo Qingyan for help was pitiful and aggrieved.

Huo Qingyan felt that he might have inherited some of Huo Zhenheng’s genes after all.

He thought Jiang Su looked absolutely adorable right now.

He was simply a pervert.

Huo Qingyan crouched down in front of him, his voice unconsciously taking on a gentle, coaxing tone. “Don’t worry, I’ll help you.”

Huo Qingyan’s reassurance calmed Jiang Su down a bit. “Hurry up.”

It took some effort, but Huo Qingyan finally managed to free the zipper.

Jiang Su was in too much of a rush to care that Huo Qingyan was still there and relieved himself right in front of him.

Seeing Jiang Su about to pull up his pants as soon as he was done, Huo Qingyan hesitated for a moment before reminding him, “Shake it a little.”

Jiang Su: “Huh?”

Seeing Jiang Su’s confused expression, Huo Qingyan decided to give up on verbal communication.

Huo Qingyan thought for a moment, took a tissue from the side, and leaned over slightly to dab Jiang Su dry.

As he straightened up, Jiang Su slapped him across the face.

“You touched me!” He looked at Huo Qingyan as if he were a lecherous fiend.

How could one reason with a drunkard?

But then again, he had indeed touched him.

Jiang Su’s accusation made Huo Qingyan feel a twinge of guilt.

He pressed his tongue against the inside of the cheek Jiang Su had slapped.

When Huo Zhenheng used to fight with him, he always preferred using tools. This was the first time he had ever been slapped.

It hurt a little…

Huo Qingyan couldn’t bring himself to be angry. Instead, he found himself thinking that Jiang Su’s years of training had not been in vain.

He was so strong even when drunk.

But it seemed inappropriate to say that out loud.

Huo Qingyan reached out to help Jiang Su pull up his pants.

Jiang Su slapped his hand away, his face a picture of righteous indignation. “You have to apologize to me!”

Huo Qingyan tried to reason with him in a gentle voice, “How about I apologize after you pull up your pants?”

Jiang Su’s face was serious. “What does me pulling up my pants have to do with you apologizing?”

Huo Qingyan: “I’m sorry.”

Jiang Su was strict. “Sorry for what?”

Huo Qingyan: “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have touched you.”

Jiang Su lifted his chin, looking very aloof. “Mm.”

But he would have seemed even more aloof if he hadn’t been pulling up his pants while saying “Mm.”

After coming out of the bathroom, Jiang Su lay back down on the bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

The quilt was too thick. Huo Qingyan was about to look for a thinner blanket for him.

But as he walked to the closet, he stopped.

If Jiang Su were sober, he would never have done any of these things.

Being drunk enough to mistake him for Xu Mocun meant that Jiang Su would surely have no memory of this in the morning.

If he got a thin blanket for Jiang Su, Jiang Su would definitely become suspicious upon waking up and would guess that he had been there.

Jiang Su would surely feel incredibly embarrassed.

Even as a teenager, Jiang Su had been a boy who cared a lot about his pride.

Huo Qingyan returned to the bedside and stared at the sleeping Jiang Su for a long time before getting up to leave.

Before he left, he turned off the air conditioner, put the remote back in its original place, and took the water glass with him, pretending he had never been there.

On the drive away from the villa, he called the hotel’s lobby manager. “If Jiang Su asks, don’t tell him I asked about his whereabouts.”

The lobby manager naturally didn’t dare to ask why. “Understood.”

“If you handle this well, you’ll get a double bonus at the end of the year. If you don’t, pack your things and leave.” It was a near-ruthless command, with no room for negotiation.

The lobby manager’s scalp tingled. “I understand.”

After instructing the lobby manager, Huo Qingyan called Zhou Fu.

He needed an alibi.

Zhou Fu checked the time before answering the phone. It was three in the morning.

“President Huo, I’m a person, not a machine. People need to sleep!”

President Huo was insane. He used to deny him rest, and now he was calling him for overtime at three in the morning.

Huo Qingyan seemed to ignore his protest. “Come out for a drink.”

Zhou Fu was so scared he nearly fell out of bed. “President Huo, I don’t think we have the kind of relationship where we can drink together in the middle of the night.”

He was just a hardworking employee who loved his job. Drinking was something friends did together.

He didn’t want to be friends with a divorced, lonely CEO.
